I've always adored the Household Cavalry regiments, And I can't wait until they come back. But there's something truly special about this King's Troop Guard. In the .right box. I could watch him all day! His no nonsense enforcement and demeanor is truly phenomenal. The King's Troop are doing an amazing job. Hope you're enjoying your weekend John. Thanks! For part 2.,❤️💂♀️👏👏
Putting the box there has certainly made an enormous difference. The horse no longer gets mauled and the troopers are less stressed. Well done whoever gave the order for the boxes.
Hi from USA John. When you said you thought the guy was gonna jump on the horse with her, lol so funny. Your commentary is the best ever, you always make me smile ❤you are getting me through some rough days, ty for what you do in bringing us these videos, appreciate and respect you, the guards and police ❤
The Gunner horse stance reminds me of how the Gateman and chitsman stand in the arches his front legs. A beautiful horse, who stand firmly and alert, to his surroundings. As does his rider. No messing attitude. Love it that he recognized Garrison Sargeant Major Stokes. 😊
This gunner has surpassed all the guards from all the regiments! My favourite from now on! He's alert and efficient! To be fair, that man who is the boss on the ground did walk nearer to the white line than the woman earlier. I have actually seen a gatesman of the blues and royals shouting make way to the favourite COH that has now left this part of the army. Rules are rules! 👍👏❤
He reminds me of a certain authoritative Blues and Royals Trooper who later went on to win The Elizabeth Cup: x.com/ArmyInLondon/status/1786910659008971071
Hi John. A great part 2. I loved the way the lady gunner in camo's tried to show the nervous horse his buddy at the other end. She was so patient with him. It was lovely to see. Also good to see that they decided to change the horse straight away, & not try to put him in the box again. Unlike HCAV who try & try before changing the horse.
Hello John Give the soldier a thumbs up from me for responding well :-) You can do that on my behalf with every good action. Greetings from the Netherlands.😉
That view over the parade ground was just beautiful. The whole of Horseguards is just amazing to look at. The stable woman was so lovely with the scared horse. So kind and patient and knew when to take the horse back in. Great to see. Great to see the horse charging gunner was still in great form. Parts one and two both brilliant. Many thanks.
Hello everyone )) Good to see the lady gunner supporting the new horse. Plenty of positive reinforcement, scratching the withers and recognising when enough is a enough !!
The vocal gunner in the right hand box is doing great. His horse looks so much like my boy , he also had the same daft squinny. He had this cross between a squeal and whinny when he got a bit bothered or impatient. He kept doing it once in a show ring and the judge told him to “shut up”. He carried on, but very quietly which had everyone laughing. My boy passed 10 years ago after 23 wonderful years together. I still miss him dreadfully. It was so sweet hearing that squinny again🥹🥰
Oh so sad for your loss. It's the beautiful memories that keep us going. Had a beautiful irish wolf hound for 15years. Was as big as a pony. Miss him heaps. Gidday from Australia.
Gunner is absolutely amazing! Clearly people seem to get it when you enforce the rules, which the gunner is taking the rules seriously and enforcing them. This gunner should be in a leadership position other Troppers should take his lead and be this professional.
Yay something interesting to watch on this stormy day. I’m really pleased you put the 2nd part on today. Thanks John. Love your vlogs. Have a good day and stay safe.
What a sweet little gunner, spreading calm as much as she can to the lovely war horse. Well, next to the horse she looks little. The new horse has his very own stable women whispering sweet words in his ear.
25:13 Hi there, horses are generally good at hearing both higher and lower frequencies than humans they can also hear and react to sounds 4400 meters (2.73 miles) that’s why their ears are constantly moving and they are a lot more sensitive to loud noises maybe that’s why this horse is unsettled at the moment
The gunners horses are such a wonderful colours and so well presented. They stand so well and I wonder if it is because of their training with the gun carriages. Once again John your happy chatter has been delightful and your interest in others makes the programme
Hi from Canada John! If I may, the gentleman who was granted permission to touch the horse was being very respectful of the horse and the box. The young gentleman lady booted out was not being respectful of the box… from this side of the pond anyway. Love your videos chum!!!
High John I think you were joking but in Part 1 the horse didn't "headbutt" the child. He nuzzled her which was the absolute minimal contact the horse can employ. I think it just startled her. That horse was so curious and wanted to interact with all the tourists.
Good to see how the new, nervous horse was supported and just given a short time in the box to gradually get him to used to it so he’ll feel more comfortable next time. It’s good to see that the horses rule the roost in the Royal Horse Artillery as well as in HCav.
What a gorgeous day! The gunner horses…all are so beautiful and really know what their jobs are.😁 This week has been such a treat. Once again John you can tell by all the comments that you are admired enormously for your commentary. Thank you ! 😊
They are great professionals.🤗 They have beautiful horses and I just love those screams, a big compliment to you. 😍And a big compliment to Jon for the videos and many greetings from the Czech Republic 😘
Sorry, John, another comment here because you made me chuckle to myself when you said ... that made me jump and I already knew he was going to shout!..😂 I have been bracing myself for all his shouts and charges ! 🫣 The stable lady gunner was super sweet towards the unsettled horse after the changeover. ❤
Thanks so much for part 2. Just loving the KTRHA and their superb horses. We are so lucky to have found this amazing place through the efforts of our host, John, London City Walks. I am grateful for each and every video. Love and Blessings from Missouri, USA.
Hello John . thanks for two really marvellous videos, absolute pleasure to see The Gunner enforcing The White Box Rule🎉. Those two horses so Cute, especially the one who looked like he was talking, stunning blaze on the other horse and not forgetting the horse that wanted to interact with the public.🎉 Hope next week is just has brilliant , although I'm missing the lifeguards and blues n royals .fingers crossed for Mr Ormonde.
Thank you for Part 2, John. It’s always a treat to get 2 hours of film from the same day! Especially when there is an outstanding Gunner in the box! I loved hearing the beautiful accent of the Irish-Jamaican fan. Can’t wait to watch the rest of the video! With love & admiration from Royal Oak, Michigan USA ♥️🇺🇸🐴🐴🇬🇧♥️
This is my box says the right hand horse, and my rider agrees. So stay out of my box, I'm watching you lot, out of the corner of my 👀 eyes. At least John doesn't step in my box and he films me from my best side..😊
Assign this Guard to Ormonde on a permanent basis! There will be no more need for any indiscretion on the part of clueless tourists. Keep up your great work, John!
Good morning John. Was waiting for Part 2. My morning ritual. Coffee made. Open You Tube. Open your channel. And wait for your narration. Jokes. And hearty laugh. 😁🌟
Lovely surprise to see GSM Stokes walk past 😊 it’s great to see the gunners at work. Thank you for another lovely video John and I hope you’re wearing thermal’s in the cold weather 😁
It seems strange to remember that it's only been 2 months ( 25th September ) since the white lines were first introduced I don't know about anyone else but it now feels like they've been there much longer ! Like anything new being implemented it always takes time to become the " norm " both for those working , Troopers/Gunners and for members of the public . Tour guides are giving their groups instructions regarding the lines , in some cases other tourists are telling people where to stand , hopefully some are watching videos like this and learning . There will always be the oblivious ones , you meet them in all walks of life every day 😀. Plus the individuals who want their 15 minutes of " infamy " on various platforms , like the " little boy " on Wednesday who is now " famous " for all the wrong reasons ! Imho I can happily say it's a success , in the next couple of months we'll see less and less infringements leading to I hope the disappearance of the spammers who will have nothing to film 😁. Hope you had a good Saturday John , looking forward to our next walk with you 😊
Exactly, Kath! We saw this with the initial Don’t Touch the Horse sign, as well! Everything takes time. There’s never an invisible instant switch to turn on for change. Well stated! 😊
John thanks for part 2. Maybe the gunner makes the decision of who is polite, respectful, and follows the rules to allow a person to touch the horse? I also noticed yesterday in part 1 she moved the horse closer to the edge of the box for the families and minions :) I thought that was kind. I don't find anything wrong. She enforces the rules and makes exceptions !
@@nicorey909 Have you contacted the Lancashire Infantry Museum in Preston for information about the regiment you are seeking? They may be able to assist since they know the regiments involved in the many amalgamations that have occurred over the years?
Glad to see you are enjoying sunshine today John. We have had snow now rain and high winds. Thank you for the video you deserve a hot chocolate or even something a bit stronger 🥶
Hello John from Australia 24/11/2024 - Don't expect you to film today, I spoke to my brother in North Yorkshire last night, 9.00 am Yorkshire time Saturday, 23/11/2024, and they were having a blizzard, so what with the weather and all else that will be going have a nice day off. This Gunner is superb, it's a shame about the inconsistency though. The horse is saying the doors are open why aren't we moving I want to get into my warm stable. The Stablehand Gunner loves the horse/s. Thank you John.
I love how the second horse seems as if its having a good old moan/chat to some of the tourists. 🐴❤😂 Whoever knitted those 🧤gloves for you John, didn't finish knitting the rest of the fingers... 🤔Must have run out of wool... Just kidding!!! 🤪
This gunner is great I could watch him all day, he sends everyone running from the box and keeps the hands off his horse, be nice if all the gunners would do what this gunner does to control theirs surroundings.

I agree with you regarding the Gunners and Troopers allowing their horses to be touched that it’s up to the discretion of the particular rider. This is why I’ve tried to never come down on them for it. Thanks for another great video💜
Wow, how excellent he is. Love the looks on their faces when they get scolded. And honestly John, if you are popular over here in the US, I'm sure that Brits are watching you as much if not more. These people should know better. Love your channel❤
Hi John, that drives me crazy when people visit another country, and they trash it. Carry your trash with you. It makes it look so dirty. That was the first thing I noticed on part one. It just makes you so sad.
Salute to the right Horse Guards.Very excellent, love him❤️👍Thats the authority we are looking for over the tourists who are not aware of the white lines yet.
I enjoy seeing the different colors on these horses. Wonder how many people got busted at their job for being filmed walking past horse guards after, i.e., calling out sick, going on a date with a coworker but not wanting everyone knowing. Yikes!

Love this Gunner he is no slacker when it comes to making people to keeping the Rules. A Honable Loyal Soldier to His King and Country
Great pickup of seeing GSM Stokes in mufti. He's not quite as intimidating as he is when in full ceremonial dress, wearing the bearskin cap.
Putting the box there has certainly made an enormous difference. The horse no longer gets mauled and the troopers are less stressed. Well done whoever gave the order for the boxes.
You can tell the gunners and troopers love the horses, the way this gunner in cameos tried to calm him was lovely to watch,❤

I’m so happy that they’re finally protect protecting the horses and their riders and they’re doing a very good job
He is my new FAVORITE gunner!!!!!!!!!
The number of tourists who were simply stood observing him and the horse was something to behold. Impressive indeed.
The lady Gunner calming the horse was incredible! What an asset she is to that troop of Gunners.

Hi John, so nice to see the lady gunner comforting the horse ❤
Thank you John. Love these bay horses, will hate to see them go.
Although I saw the troubles in N.Ireland, I fell in love with the Irish accent 🥰🥰
Thank you for this video...makes my day
Love the comical comments! Keep it up please!

Another smashing day of footage but I don't know if I could have handled whoever was sniffing constantly next to you as well as you did John!

Enjoyed the video John, good to see the horses not being mauled.
The Kings Troop Horses are really beautiful.

John, your sound effects are very funny.
That horse on the left certainly looks like it’s talking too you 😂
I hope this gunner sees both parts of your video!
