      That's because you and your children have common sense and you all have a mind of your own to think for yourself which is great. You never allowed feminism and mass media to control the way you think

      Mainstream media and feminism have turned marriage into a play thing.

    Interesting take on marriage landscape! The problem for black folk is they don’t understand or recognize the value of marriage!

    • @BlackExcellenceMedia
      @BlackExcellenceMedia  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Disagree with that. I think Black people value marriage as much as any other group

    You smacked it on the head at the end. This is a global crisis. A crisis that is being brought about by economics and technology driving a wedge between sexes. Then that all compounds with our generational traumas. We will forever be playing catch up if as a society and a culture we don't start talking. I'm thankful I met the woman that would eventually come to be my wife in the mid 2000's.I can tell the dating landscape is rough out here.

      @BlackExcellenceMedia  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh it's so rough! But we can't lose hope. We have to address it all head first and find our own solutions.

      Look up "Moniyhan's scissors".
      The Great Society and War On Poverty destroyed the Nuclear Black Family.
      When male unemployment went up, so did female welfare usage. When male unemployment dropped so did female welfare usage.
      Post Great Society and War On Poverty Moniyhan noticed black male unemployment was dropping, but black female welfare usage continued to rise setting off alarm bells.
      Women mostly very poor were marrying government benefits over men. This became like a virus that spread to middle class women and up. It had become acceptable to have a "bastard" child.
      The rate of out of wedlock births among black women went from 20% to 70%. This happened post civil rights act and post voting rights act so we can assume discrimination wasn't the cause.
      The statistics on children of unmarried woman are stark and well documented. More likely to face incarceration, do drugs live in poverty etc.
      Jim Crow laws couldn't and didn't destroy the black family. Free government money did though.
      From 1890-1940 blacks were married at a higher rate then whites. Again, it wasn't Jim Crow, legal discrimination etc. as this was a rough time to be black in America. Far rougher then today.

    It would be better if you could interview an older black gentleman for his wisdom on this topic. Yes, welfare and the crack epidemic affected the legal marriage rate. Monotony is a virgin plus virgin marriage. Our past kings had many wives do to resources, which can happen today except for the legal marriage part. Child support has disrupted the western marriage system as well

    I'm married & has been for many years. My daughter's married. My son has told me that black women won't speak to him. White & Hispanic women love flirting with him. I told him to just be him. Make sure whoever u date or marry is a good CHRISTIAN & intelligent enough to hold an intelligent conversation.
