Just wanted to say that your review of the TDK A33 Wireless speaker was SPOT ON! I purchased one of these from Woot.com and was a little nervous about how it was going to sound. But WOW, just WOW. Perfect portable speaker. You are right about the slightly WARM sound that it produces too. Love the unit, I use it in a motorhome. It's loud enough and perfect for taking it outside for picnics etc. Thanks for your honest and spot on review!
Surprising that they did not install a tweeter in this unit? They are fairly cheap and small so there is not that chrisp high end that you get. there is however plenty of low end with the sub and passive radiators which just help to move more air from the sub woofersI've had mine now for about 3 years with no problems. I love mine and so the only complaint I have about it is the tweeters not being installed so it is missing a bit of the treble frequency's Other than that is a great portable speaker! So go have a listen and if you like the sound get it. Some people don't even know what a tweeter is or sounds like and may not even care. Great review!
Hey, just wondering if you have tested the battery life of this guy yet. Was inbetween getting this and the bose mini, but heard the battery life isnt as great on this.
Got speaker and love it. TDK came out with the TREK Max (A34) looks like the drivers are the same size. have you heard if the sound quality is any better than the A33?
So I understand that it is not possible to skip tracks using the TDK, but how about pausing/muting, is that possible? This is essential when listening to podcasts, that I can stop it easily when I need to hear smth else.
Ssometimes my volume on the a33 goes down. Maybe it's to hard? Or my battery is running out of power? Because when the volume goes down, the on and off button is flashing red. Maybe you know why?
That's most likely the battery running out of juice, mine does the same thing. Problem is I was only getting about 15 minutes of use before it started happening. TDK replaced my A33 with a new one, which I just received. Although these units sound great, their battery life is dismal. I'm hoping they improved the battery life on the A34.
Honestly I'm not entirely sure what it says. I can't read Chinese. I believe it is a propaganda poster calling for reunification with Taiwan. (I don't really know, I just like look of Soviet era posters).
