For the first time we witnessed a physical violence scene where the woman is not a bechari and she actually raised her voice, had an arguement, and actually slapped her husband. But what followed, was so horrendous! Specially seeing her fallen to the ground with her Dr. Zara badge made you realize that you can be highly educated and yet still go through such a situation💔💔 May Allah protect all girls in their marriages and bless all singles with a good naseeb. All the leads acted perfectly but Mawra definitely stole the show. Her expressions, her dialogue delivery, the way she slapped him. Everything was so well written and delivered.🔥

Wow, incredible performances by all the characters. But, Numair in the last few minutes just stole the show, excellent excellent quality of acting. The way he looked at Dadi he wanted her to spill the beans she didn't, but then the confessing Hassan was brilliant. Hats off.
People say that marriage is scary but I think Naseeb is so scary. Zara is such a brilliant and loveable girl. Her parents raised her very well and she turned out to be the best human but... It was so sad to see that no matter how good you are, what are your qualifications, how pure your heart is, how intelligent you are, your life will be shaped by the people you meet in your life. It is not only about husband, it can be about friends, in-laws even your children. Just pray for good Naseeb for yourself. And please leave immediately when you sense red flags in any relationship, do not wait and don't even think about that you can change someone, if his/her parents failed to do so, you have no chance. God, I cried looking at Zara's condition. She's an educated and empowered woman. But women like her fall into this trap of abusive marriage all the time. I have a friend who's a well-educated high-ranking official, and she married her batchmate. But that guy assassinated her character for being too fiendly with him before they got married. And tried to kill her. Twice. Killed her unborn baby. We were all hell-shocked. Worse, her parents wanted her to work out the marriage for "samaaj me izzat" - she couldn't tell them that he tried to unalive her. It was such a relief when she finally took a stand, dragged her to the court and got him punished. I wish Zara would do the same now. I hate Hassan, obviously. But I also hate Dado - she knows that Hassan's mother was not the culprit, but his father was, and yet she keeps lying. She can't accept that her own son was the damaged one. Even now, once they got to the hospital, she lied, agreeing with Hassan that Zara fell down. She's an enabler. Same goes for Zara's own dadi - that woman is vile. Typical "70s ki saas," highly patriarchal and an overall mean person. She doesn't like Zara's mom, she doesn't like the fact that Zara is well-educated and independent, she taunts her son for being a "joru ka gulaam,' she also defended Hassan and blamed Zara when Zara went home after the first incident. Rotten human being. I know people prefer watching Andaleeb and Numain over Zara and Hassan. Truthfully, I also enjoy their feel-good romantic story. Numair is such a green-flag character - he's mature, reliable, wants to empower Andaleeb, never made her feel guilty for her s*icide attempt, and is confident enough to send her to the same academy as her ex. I also love how Moiz's mother explains to him that Andaleeb has moved on and has done the right thing by moving on, and he should too, focus on building his life ("pyaar ke liye toh saari umar padi hai"). Numair's mother, though got irritating initially, but is such a delight now. She too, has been protrayed as supportive and open-minded. And with everything going on in the world, who wouldn't want a break and escape into a romantic, uplifting, positive story arc? But stories like Zara and Hassan are a true reflection of our society and so many women around us. All said and done, fabulous acting by Mawra, Moheeb, and Usman. Moheeb, because it's hard to portray dark characters. And the way he showed the aggression, shifting blame to Zara for taking pills, beating her up, and then dissociating completely saying "maine kuch nahi kiya, uski galti thi, etc.," calling up Numair cause he knows that he can't call Zara's parents after what he has done - all of this was really well done. Mawra - man, the scene where she was lying down on the floor and slowly losing her consciousness, the shock, the heartbreak, and the pain on her face - it had me crying like a child. She made it seem believable. And Usman - only for the scene in the hospital, for the way he understands what happened after looking at her condition, his accusatory glance at Dado, the anger and disdain in his eyes, the eyes welling up, his confrontation of Hassan - it was such a small scene, but it spoke volumes. Dialogue writer also deserves credit and applause here, specifically for the dialogue "aurat pe haath uthana mardangi nahi hai," and "agar tumhe us se pyaar hota toh yeh nahi karte."
Zara suffered because of two dadoz... One is Hassan's dado who is hiding all facts regarding him and other is zara's dado who is pushing her to stay with such loose tempered person!!!

I cannot stand Hassan’s grandmother. She acts all nice while simultaneously enabling Hassan all his life. She literally covered up his lies for him and manipulates Zahra by telling stories of Hassans childhood. SHE should have known that he can never be normal and one day could even kill Zara in anger. But she’s all words “ghussa mat karo” like seriously she pisses me off. This is all her fault. And im guessing Hassan’s mom is innocent too.

God, I cried looking at Zara's condition. She's an educated and empowered woman. But women like her fall into this trap of abusive marriage all the time. I have a friend who's a well-educated high-ranking official, and she married her batchmate. But that guy assassinated her character for being too fiendly with him before they got married. And tried to kill her. Twice. Killed her unborn baby. We were all hell-shocked. Worse, her parents wanted her to work out the marriage for "samaaj me izzat" - she couldn't tell them that he tried to unalive her. It was such a relief when she finally took a stand, dragged her to the court and got him punished.
I wish Zara would do the same now. I hate Hassan, obviously. But I also hate Dado - she knows that Hassan's mother was not the culprit, but his father was, and yet she keeps lying. She can't accept that her own son was the damaged one. Even now, once they got to the hospital, she lied, agreeing with Hassan that Zara fell down. She's an enabler.
Same goes for Zara's own dadi - that woman is vile. Typical "70s ki saas," highly patriarchal and an overall mean person. She doesn't like Zara's mom, she doesn't like the fact that Zara is well-educated and independent, she taunts her son for being a "joru ka gulaam,' she also defended Hassan and blamed Zara when Zara went home after the first incident. Rotten human being.
I know people prefer watching Andaleeb and Numain over Zara and Hassan. Truthfully, I also enjoy their feel-good romantic story. Numair is such a green-flag character - he's mature, reliable, wants to empower Andaleeb, never made her feel guilty for her s*icide attempt, and is confident enough to send her to the same academy as her ex. I also love how Moiz's mother explains to him that Andaleeb has moved on and has done the right thing by moving on, and he should too, focus on building his life ("pyaar ke liye toh saari umar padi hai"). Numair's mother, though got irritating initially, but is such a delight now. She too, has been protrayed as supportive and open-minded. And with everything going on in the world, who wouldn't want a break and escape into a romantic, uplifting, positive story arc?
But stories like Zara and Hassan are a true reflection of our society and so many women around us.
All said and done, fabulous acting by Mawra, Moheeb, and Usman. Moheeb, because it's hard to portray dark characters. And the way he showed the aggression, shifting blame to Zara for taking pills, beating her up, and then dissociating completely saying "maine kuch nahi kiya, uski galti thi, etc.," calling up Numair cause he knows that he can't call Zara's parents after what he has done - all of this was really well done. Mawra - man, the scene where she was lying down on the floor and slowly losing her consciousness, the shock, the heartbreak, and the pain on her face - it had me crying like a child. She made it seem believable. And Usman - only for the scene in the hospital, for the way he understands what happened after looking at her condition, his accusatory glance at Dado, the anger and disdain in his eyes, the eyes welling up, his confrontation of Hassan - it was such a small scene, but it spoke volumes. Dialogue writer also deserves credit and applause here, specifically for the dialogue "aurat pe haath uthana mardangi nahi hai," and "agar tumhe us se pyaar hota toh yeh nahi karte."
