I know I’m on this 5 years after the fact, but I think that bigger bag you were hoping for is the Mission Attaché. I’ve got the attaché in X-pac and it’s quality…
I bought a Memobottle specifically to fit in slings like these (ie flatter ones that don't have dedicated water bottle pouches)--since it's so flat it can go into the dedicated laptop/tablet pouch!
the strap is designed for easy access by swinging it to your chest when you loosen the straps. Most people will very rarely use the quick release buckle.. unless you are carrying so much that you just want to do "drop" the bag quickly without having the swing the strap over your head to remove it.
You said the thing about not getting papers on the bag, well there’s another bag from them, that’s able to do it, it’s the JunkMonkey, it would be nice if you do a review of the custom bag with all the bells and whistles like the compression belts
Awesome review! I really hope they can have a upgrade version for the Metromonger fixing all those tiny issues. Do you have any EDC messenger bag to recommend?
This seems like it would be perfect as a personal item on flights to hold electronics/snacks with everything else needed for travel in my carry on(aer travel pack 2). Torn between the metromonger, Chrome Urban ex sling 10L, packable duffle, or just a messenger bag for compliment the travel pack...thoughts?
I am not defending the strap, it is the one thing that has me hesitant to buy the metromonger, but what you are missing in your review is the ability to sling it back tight to the body and to also loosen it up to swing around to the front to get in it without arms longer than an alligator's. Which strap that they offer would you recommend for this utility?
After watching this video, I decided to buy this bag. Thank you for a good quality review. How long did it take you to order this bag and deliver it? I chose DHL Ecommerce as the delivery method.
I was wondering, what is that cool looking red backpack you have in the background on the wall?

They need to invest the zipper tracks you sure pay enough for these to get that
Great review. Been contemplating this bag. I’ve been daily carrying an Arc’teryx Courier 15 for months now and just can’t put it away.
What camera insert is that at 11:50?
Great review.
Love the Metromonger! Great bag! Greenroom 136 put out some great gear!

Everything ok? Been awhile since you’ve done a review. What about the Tom bing syntic
Yeah. Sorry, brother. I can really only do reviews when I am on break (i.e., the students are on break).
Could you fit the papers in with the laptop in the laptop sleeve?
Didn't get the metromonger.Got the custom rainmaker large as edc to replace my 7year old gr2(still in very good condition).
