@@buddyrevell6369 At least Mustie1 knows Amesie! I still remember the video when Amesie first visited Mustie1! It was very amusing to see how nervous Mustie1 was. Of course, later on you two collaborated on rescueing a Saab 96.
Good to see you again Amesie. This video has you venturing straight through “The Cabbage 🥬 ”!! I think the first hubcap you picked up was from a 70’s era Ford Granada.
It's so nice to know that people will just dump garbage out in the woods so their neighborhoods will look good. Seems to be a fortune in aluminum out there..
Good show…I enjoy digging thru old dump sites to ,it is a history book of sorts, locked in by highways makes it a great spot for deer, they feel safe cause nobody bothers them, at 25:25 it looked like a critter den on the hill behind you .post when you can we’ll all be ready !….
Hey, what happened to him? is he alive still? I just checked if there was new stuff and this was the last one from two years ago? I have a bad feeling.
Mustie1 would have had the VW running by the end of the video! Here in the UK one sometimes sees 'tricycle choppers' sometimes based on VW stuff and my guess is that you found the remnants of such a thing hence the tank.
I'm from metro Detroit and "back in the day" there were stores that sold used hubcaps mostly in the more industrial parts of town. I can't really think of the last time I saw one.
Bottles are kinda easy to date ! Screw top newer stuff. If it rounded top there are 2 main types looking at top if it has a side seam it's new if it rounded that's old.
Yep, still around, but I think their only sold in limited places. Out here on the west coast, they seem to only be sold at either Safeway or Albertson's.
Both those hubcaps you said were Pontiac or actually Oldsmobile. Which it’s almost the same thing. And the Oldsmobile symbol on those hubcaps is from the 1980s.
that old vw engine looked like someone wanted to trying and get it running where it sits a very long time ago and gave up by the looks on the fuel line sitting on the transmission
Wow! Long time no see Amesie. Glad you are still on TH-cam. Really different topic from old Saabs, but very interesting. Is this area bordered on all sides by limited access highways like I495 or not?
Ya get your new E-bike yet? Im in the process of building one, doing experiments for the best drive system. What is your opinion on the best drive? Im waiting on a mid-drive 48-96v 1500w motor. Ive tried the 1000 watt hub motor and was pretty impressed. Duel motors is my plan. The single hub motor powered by two 48V 20ah batteries hit a top speed of 32mph on the flats.
You were into Sabb Sonnets right? If not ignore this......there’s 3 in my area. Parts cars apparently, but from the pics they look decent. Let me know if you’d like the link. -Pidge
Miss the videos hope all has been well for you.
that vw has a pre 1958 transmission,
I knew you would recognize a VW in there! Now go get it.

Amesie hasn't uploaded anything in couple years.

I remember those Plochman’s Mustard bottles - my mom used to buy that brand!
Yep, still around, but I think their only sold in limited places. Out here on the west coast, they seem to only be sold at either Safeway or Albertson's.
you and Mustie needs to do a video on this VW Engine Will it Run???
Hope you're okay mate.
Could be it's an engine stand setup or power generator.
Regardless, well worth saving.
Love your vids!
That first hubcap was from a 1980s Ford Granada (second gen?)
Cahhhh paahhts..
Grab that VW drivetrain and send it over to Mustie, he'll have it running inside of a day!
First Hubcap is for late 1970s Ford Granada, next two are 1970 Plymouth, then 1971 Lincoln I think, them mid 1970s Oldsmobile
Good to see you back and safe Amesie!
I also noticed quite a lot of Oldsmobile cutlass parts.
I thought us southern hillbillies were the only people that dumped cars, appliances, dead animals and sometimes human remains out in the woods.
Both those hubcaps you said were Pontiac or actually Oldsmobile. Which it’s almost the same thing. And the Oldsmobile symbol on those hubcaps is from the 1980s.
Yeah! You're back man. TV getting thrown out now.
More please buddy!

Swam on 2 sides and highway on the other.
Plochman's is in fact still in business!
Maybe that was one of musty ones old projects
