Have you seen my camera lens cover? Did we charge the batteries? Where's my tripod ball head? I know I recorded that... which SD card was it on? Time to make the backups...
OK you got me... i jumped when you where coming out of the rocks i thought you where going to hit it. that is a very cool platform to film from and it lets you and us see things like that that most people don't ever see. a least from that perspective. very cool thanks for sharing Drake. far winds my friend.
Hi Ty Avolio, I can't wait to soon show you the aerial footage we took of Iceland's famous Gulfoss waterfall and hot spring geyser, and especially of the enormous icebergs of Greenland. Thank you for sailing with us,
Great footage Drake and the Phantom 2 is by far the coolest video platform and a lot of fun too.Are you using a gimal and have you had any problems with the drone?Cheers.
Hi Jadah J, there are not so many trees in that area, but there definitely are some. The one place I can think of where we hardly saw any trees was Greenland where it was mostly rock where we went, and as you can see in our Sailing Greenland Timelapse video in the Previews playlist.
Sweet, went there last year in Jan, all covered in snow. Unfortunately without my Hex. What setup are you flying and how long is your flight time? Am planning on building a waterproof one, so less risk lauching directly from the sailboat.
Hi MarkxTube, I'm flying a stock Phantom 2 with Zenmuse 2 axis gimbal, GoPro Hero 3+, and Fatshark Attitude FPV goggles. The advertising says you get up to 25 minutes flight time on a battery, I don't fly for more than 10-15 minutes off a full battery to be safe. A quadcopter that could land in the water would be fantastic.
Hi Ted, Thank you - we really appreciate any feedback that may help us make our videos better in any way. Love to hear what people like and don't like, etc. We still have about 5000 miles of voyaging episodes ahead of us before we reach Iceland. Thank you for sailing with us,
Pretty safe to say that no one has ever captured that beauty in that way before. A true pioneer you are Drake. Amazing work pally.
we live in amazing times. What a cool landscape for aerial filming. Keep 'em coming.
Beautiful, like a National Geographic documentary... thank you so much.
OK Drake 2:27 scared the crap out of me, spilled my coffee! HA!
I don't need to cruise anymore. I just need to watch these videos!
Outstanding aerial views....thanks for sharing.
Stay safe and in touch.
That drone has to be the best toy ever! Love the video you get out of it as well as the fun you have flying it.
Fantastic video coverage, well done.
Nice job!
WOW so beauiful !!!
Good catch Mo, don' let him break the eyes we all live vicariously through
Heh, keeping track of the cameras is a job all its own!

hey drake...you really nailed it...this was spectacular, great music, and speed transitions....looks great..
video: Aerial tour of Öxarárfoss waterfall in Þingvellir National Park, Iceland.
Very cool stuff indeed! I thought you were going to loose signal going behind those rocks. But you made it out...intact. Great views!
Great video! Got pretty close to that cliff at 2:28. Keep 'em coming. Would especially love to see some video of the Greenland fjords.
What a most brilliant video; you've very good with your drone.
Your a good pilot !!! VERY COOL !!!!!

Absolutely breathtaking, Drake! Nice catch Mo!
Yes, he was a good catch. *grin*
Nice.
looks like you have stock video footage there, but you took it your self. great work.
That was worth the the price of the camera!

Hi Craig, Yes it has a gimbal called the 'Zenmuse' which is made by the same company that makes the Phantom. No problems to think off. Cheers.
Really precise flying! Ice Land is beautiful but one thing I don't see... Trees, where are the trees?

Maybe I should call you "Dread PILOT Roberts" from now on. Great video.
This is awesome! I can't stop giggling every time I see this. I sense a showing of "The Princess Bride" coming up on Paragon...
momoparagon"you are here, we are here.... soon you will not be here !!!
"oh, you mean THIS key !!"

Your videos are becoming very professional. Love this use of a drone to capture our world on film. When do we see footage of your voyage to Iceland?

Pisailorot?
wow...how far can that travel away from the person controlling it?
