Opps wrong announcement 26:46 This station was Huguenot, not Eltingville Nice video. Thanks for posting it. I used to live in Eltingville from 1959 to 1973. I grew up riding the old two car straw wicker seats trains that were built around 1925. It's hard to believe those R44 cars were in service for 51 years.
The automated announcements stopped working properly after leaving Great Kills and resumed when leaving Prince's Bay. There might be a GPS problem in that stretch.
Man stop complaining just be grateful yall got a new train car in Staten Island. Sheesh. Yall complain bout R44 is in Staten Island n now yall got new train Yall complaining
@@williamerazo3921 No need for that. Staten Island isn’t as densely populated and nobody wants or needs another 500,000 people running around the island. The SIR is just fine as it is.

“They’re screaming like the Yankees won the World Series over a train” LOL IT HASN’T EVEN BEEN 5 MINUTES
They're happy. Let 'em have their fun.
Let them be lol

hii
Seems like they have trouble with the express announcements…
U know I see why almighty god repented after he made us mankind.
wow i didnt know that many people take the SIR. i thought it was completely dead
nah just busy cuz foamers
It can be full during rush hours which is basically what it was designed for.
Only on Rush Hour it’s dead other times. They need the trains to run every 10 min on Rush buts now it’s 20 min 🫤
@@williamerazo3921 Train schedules match SI Ferry, which is every 15 minutes during rush hour.
Is SI express rollsign red or orange?
Red
Did the announcement for Huguenot pronounce it as "Who-ga-not" instead of the correct "Hew-ga-not"? They need to re-record that ASAP.
We want R262 for Staten Island Railway
Man stop complaining just be grateful yall got a new train car in Staten Island. Sheesh. Yall complain bout R44 is in Staten Island n now yall got new train Yall complaining
And first informals the R262 is going to the IRT trains that r replacing the R62/A's
Takes 43 minutes to go the entire way, and that's on the express. It would take a Hour and a half on local. Staten Island Railway is a long line fr.
Actually the express only shaves about 7 or 8 minutes off compared to the local. The line is 14 miles long, about the length of Manhattan island.
Longer than Manhattan island. They do need to develop the island and quad track the line

@@williamerazo3921 They have room along the Right of Way i was thinking 3 tracks for the Expresses. And 10 Cars sooner or later
@@briancatchflightss Never gonna happen. Nobody on SI wants that and the MTA isn't looking to blow a few billion for no good reason.
Great. Now rebuild ‘Hylan’s holes’ and connect to rest NYC subway…..
