I don’t fully know just why, but I find comfort in this channel that shows that REAL AMERICANS still exist. The family and civil values. I have been searching every day this channel looking for a new video. And here, we have another good one. Greetings from -Greg- just outside of Chicago. My location probably explains my fascination with this great & wholesome channel.
That was alot of food for one person to prepare. She is definitely a very hard worker. It all looked delicious. This would be a wonderful place to visit.😊
I live about 4 hrs from this place! I will come by but i'm gonna call ahead to know when the bannana pudding is gonna be served! that way I can get meatloaf and that together! great video!
I really enjoy watching your videos especially at the old fashioned restaurants and cafes as well as all the magnificent food and other interesting information about them thank you again John.🇺🇲🤠🇺🇲
This is such a wonderful store! Smitty did an amazing job picking out the decor, etc., and I love that he is all about promoting local! Fantastic! Super nice guy to boot! Jennifer is a gem! She has such a warmth about her and her food looks delicious! Kudo's! Wishing them tons of success!
I love and respect and support the small business. I have a small business myself and I understand the pros and cons. These are the people the children need to look up to. Real Americans with values.

This video was absolutely incredible 👏. Thank you John for everything you do. These small businesses and old general stores are very worthy to be praised. May the good Lord always bless you all and keep you all safe and healthy where ever you go
I truly enjoyed this video. I absolutely love the country cooking! The lady who runs the restaurant is down to earth, a real person who seems to enjoy her job. Love the way she wears her hair up out of her face like a restaurant person should do. A lot of young people could learn a lot from her. Wish I lived in the area to buy her food. Looks like the kind of place you could eat everyday. I am so sick of restaurant food which all seems to be alike. I wish the entire store success. Things need to slow down in this world. It's going so fast you can barely catch up. Thanks.
The one thing I would add is a book and coffee nook. That would be heaven for me in a place like this. It’s so quaint and interesting. I wish the owners much success!!!
If I could come to that store I would be totally broke when I left. I would buy at least one of everything. I would be there all day and definitely eat everything they cook. What a fantastic store and the people that own it so nice.
What an awesome store. I remember the first video you had on this and it looks absolutely amazing. The food looks delicious and they sure are generous on their portions too. WOW its 2 meals in 1. Thanks for sharing. Bless you and yours!
Now that's a meal!! Meatloaf and baked mac n cheese are two of my absolute favorites! Looks delicious, all of it does. I'd definitely try the red slaw for the pulled pork sandwich. Interesting business. Love the old wooden booths and tons of history brought together in one place. The corner of Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia is amazingly beautiful and full of old southern charm. Another great video. Thanks
That food looks so delicious. You can tell the cook cooks with love. I would love to try her meat loaf and macaroni salad with her Cole slaw. Everything looks delicious.
I love macaroni salad and know it can be made many different ways. But, I have never seen it made like Jennifer did. It looked so delicious and refreshing. I can just imagine making it with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers out of a garden! I will be making this soon! Love and blessings to all from Dallas, TX! ♥️🙏🇺🇸
I was glad to see baked meringue topping on the banana pudding. Way I always made mine. My daughter makes an awesome banana pudding base, but there goes the Cool Whip on top! lol
Really liked this video. Wished we lived closer instead of the other end of the state 's.The food looks so delicious! Liked the fact she doesn't measure out her recipe's Sweet and great job!
I just love this story. Thank you for bringing it to us! Smitty is doing a great job. Love what he has done for/with the business. The Millers really did find the right person for the task of carrying on their legacy. Ship me some of that Nanna banana pudding! Keep up with the fantastic videos, John! The heart of 'murica!
I love Mandy's Homemade Goodies Hot Chow Chow...people have not lived until they make a homegrown potato salad made with hot chow chow...a great comfort food...
OOOOK. I live in Rockingham County so REAL 'naner pudin' is enough to get me to go to Madison! I haven't been there in, probably, 40 years so I guess it is time to git over there.
Wonderful to see the homemade custard for the banana pudding! So many try to pass off banana pudding made with Jello vanilla pudding, which in no way is true or good banana pudding. I would love to see those bananas with just a few black dots on them though, or even more than that. The ripeness of the banana and the homemade custard is the secret to awesome banana pudding like your mom or grandma made. I imagine stock and inventory might not allow her to let the bananas ripen more, but it’s still a winner with the custard! Much respect for that!
What a lovely group of people. I’d love to visit for a feed, a shop and a chat, but I’m a little too far away. A great episode! Greetings from Tasmania, Australia
This is another awesome video John. THANK you for this one . There is nothing like this store left in billings Mt. If I drive one hurndreds miles or so we to have small towns like this one. THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA..........
LOVED LOVED ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS JOHN WOW, YOUR ARE AN AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER AND YOU GIVE THE BEST INTERVIEWS THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO HUN. WE NEED THIS IMFO, PICS ARE AMAZING BEAUTIFUL PICTURES AT THAT.
Ohooooooh my! Back in the day as they say, in North Carolina coleslaw automatically came on hamburgers! Delicious! It was a vinegar based coleslaw and the burger came with chopped onions and mustard. The food looked great but I would have to talk about that recipe for the coleslaw!
Thank you for another fun video from Seattle! I wish that I were a closer neighbor! I sure could use a good home cooked country supper! God Bless ya'll ❤ Seattle kin
Whoever does his displays . That is straight like , New York City Christmas magazine quality! Looks like something I would’ve seen as a kid for Macy’s or Sears .
I love places like this. I live in Nashville Tn. so I'm sad to say I won't ever get to come here. Best of luck in your new business, I know you guys will do great.❤
you three are amazing , you can help with the final day of Walmart. And of course the cribbs wil put you to work bringing back every single mom and pop store , this will take forever or your faster workers then i thought 😊

This would be a wonderful place to visit.😊
It's absolutely CLUTCH that they've included these old Woolworth counters into the decor.
I was so happy to see she made that nanner puddin with cooked filling and meringue. No Cool Whip. She's doing her granny proud with that!
I just love everything about this. The people, the atmosphere, the history, the home made merchandise and food and good hearted culture ❤️
Great segment John. Appreciate what you're doing for these small businesses and small communities...and sharing them with us.
I live about 4 hrs from this place! I will come by but i'm gonna call ahead to know when the bannana pudding is gonna be served! that way I can get meatloaf and that together! great video!

Ok, I’ll order one of everything on the menu! It’ll probably take me almost a week to eat it all because the big portions but it’ll be worth it.
Brings back memories thanks Tom
Those are some healthy size portions. I'd love to stop in for a bite, but I'm about a thousand miles away.
Great place! Love the antique items throughout as it definitely adds character. Do vendors rent space to sell their products?
I'm not to far away - I will have to check you guys out!

I love your channel, and Smitty, I think that is his name, He is so handsome.
That certain percent of people in cities would take ticket and walk right out and not pay, gotta live these people and the safe & respectful culture
"Fixed me up a plate." OMG. How funny.
What a beautiful store run by beautiful people. Great video. I'd be there everyday if I was down that way. Keep up the good work folks.
Praying that they were not affected by Hurricane Helene. Can anyone give me an update? Thank you! I would love to visit here one day.
