Funny things 1. Parque de Attraciones de Madrid literally translates in to Madrid Amusement Park, such a creative name. 2. Roller coaster in Spanish is “montana rusa”, which comes from the Spanish words for mountain and Russia, going back to the origins of roller coasters.

I felt like I was going to fall off it was so good! The launch, is also super forceful. At least 4 people in our car fell out it was so intense! Now I would recommend the front, because most of the casualties are in the back seat, but beware of the explosive diarrhea afterwards."
I was at Worlds Of Fun Winterfest last night, and the shop had a deal where you could fill a stocking for $20. I got 3 shirts, 2 glasses, a bunch of keychains and magnets! I added the total on the price tags and it was $140!!!
AcTuAlLy theres this policy thing about this park where they'd ONLY allow full trains on the track. It's like A THING, people know about and all. So when I went in May there was like no one there and my friend and I literally had to seek out other riders, aka total strangers throughout the whole area because they would not let you go on the rides unless all the seats in the trains would have been occupied. So yeah searching for 24ish people for Tornado was fun. Theres people yellin "DO YOU WANT TO RIDE PLS COME HERE WE NEED RIDES" all over the place, literally calling their friends phones to come etc. bc even if you needed just 2 more riders the ops would be like lol no u aint getting in. Like ??????? Also: no re-rides, so you also have to convince everyone you gathered to ride again. So yeah i've got ALOT of stories (and new friends lol) from that day
Yup, that is awful, I actually live in Madrid, and every time I go there the first coaster i wanna ride is tornado (my favorite one, guess i got quite tired or abismo) and i never can because there not enough people, theyre just like "sirry wi niid ini miri pirsin, u cint ridi" like whats even gonna happen if you launch the train with less people, its defently not going to roll back, they sometimes launch the trains with no people at all to test the ride and goes perfectly fine
It's really charming to see and american person review amusement parks from my country that I can't go 'cause I don't have money. (But it's a little sad, lol, I want to go too!). Also, as a Spanish person I have to confess... I eat a lot of american food! I love Domino's Pizza, and KFC, and McDonalds... (in fact, I love them WAY to much to my own good). Don't get me wrong, I love Spanish food too, but fast-food restaurants are everywhere in Spain, and they are cheap, and taste good... But I have to gave it a break, my arteries would thank me.
About that Eiffel Tower replica and some other trivia: It was part of a selection of worldwide famous monuments in Seville's Expo 1992, and after it was saved when a big chunk of the Expo was torn down it was brought here as part of the scenary of a classic kids attraction called "Ford T", in which kids rode in...Fords T. That attraction suffered a major overhaul due to the Nickelodeon theme, and the tower was saved yet again and placed in that spot. And BTW, that spot was also the former site of yet another ride, called TIR/Aladino. Most of the original rides from 1969 are gone because the park is small and it's located at Casa de Campo park, which is a protected environment, which means it cannot grow, and the only way to make new rides is replacing old ones...also, the park has come a long way since then, it was charming but not exciting for theme park lovers at all. Also, about the view from the main entrance...the Star Flyer is kind of a hommage to what was there before, a beautiful cafeteria built in 1969 as well which had to close due to new safety regulations which the cafeteria couln't meet, and after being disguised as a tree for decades, it was also torn down in 2010 so the Star Flyer could use the spot. As a final trivia, the section of tracks with an old car on it next to Abismo, belonged to 7 Picos, the ride that stood where Abismo is now from 1969 to 2005 as the plaque says, it was a loved classic among locals but...it had to go, it was way too old sadly (in fact, in the plaque you can see the old park logo with the tree in the middle...the cafeteria disguised as a tree. When it was torn down, the logo was updated and they removed the tree). Sorry for the long text, but I think the park needs a bit of context in some areas to understand why is like that. Huh. One of the things that caught me of guard was that you expected the park to be sketchy due to it being close to downtown? Alright just FYI, over here in Europe it's kind of the opposite. The downtown is where you find all the pretty stuff and the suburbs is where the sketchy stuff is. I can definitely see a lot of people getting easily attracted to this park who wouldn't even step foot anywhere near parque warner because they feel like that is too sketchy.

Just visited yesterday & I'd say your description is pretty spot on. The ops are terrible & the queues suck but damn the park is beautiful & it has some GREAT family rides. We spent all day here & rode basically everything & were overall super impressed with the ride count & foliage. But theming & ops were disappointments. Great review!!
You had the opposite problem to me - it was DEAD when we visited, we were just about the only people in the park and they only run the coasters when the trains are full. We even had to wait for 30 minutes for Abysmo so that there were enough people on our train. Tornado took us basically all day to ride because it needed like 20 extra people before they'd run it (even though the station was full of water dummies)
that's interesting, I was not aware they waited till the trains were full to run them. I guess I would rather have it be packed than so empty that they couldn't run them.
@@CoasterStudios Somewhere in between would be ideal. It wasn't just one or two coasters, it was literally every single one. Hopefully they've changed that policy as it was a struggle to ride everything even though it was empty!

Well, looks like u might come back on 2022 or 2023 as it’s mostly confirmed they are going to build a multi launch in Parque Warner Madrid. (They already marked the terrain with the supposed locations the supports will be standing, so based on that is pretty much confirmed) haha, hope to see u back here some day!

Granted, nothing beats a B&M Invert, but all things being equal; was Tornado more or less hang & banging than a Vekoma SLC?
