Your Ranunculus...especially the white one....are the most beautiful I have seen on the internet so far. I got the pattern.....oh my....it looks so complicated. But I am gonna try. Wish you did a KAL on this one! Congratulations with the beautiful ones you already made....much respect !
That was fun catching up again with you, Linda.😃 Love your two Ranunculus sweaters, I have knitted one last Winter and wore it a lot; it is such a nice pattern. Hahaha always have to laugh when I see my projectbag, whole year long.😂🤣
The knitting trip with your friends in Seattle sounds so fun. I live about 80 miles south of Seattle. I love both of your ranunculus! I want to knit one and just need to do the measuring, etc.
Thank you for keeping me company while I sat and knit on my Kentia tee. I always LOVE your energy, your projects and easy-breezy way of seeing things Linda! You and your husband are such a great team! He picks your monthly sock colours, you clean out the basement and drive to Seattle to pick him up. MARRIAGE GOALS! Btw, your upcoming knitting getaway with friends sounds like so much fun. Have a wonderful time!
I tend to 'manage'my stash with each new cast on. I tend to have trouble sticking with a plan in matching yarn and patterns, so I just go with what strikes my fancy at the time. I try not to buy any more yarn until I seriously reduce stash. Tazhi of Starlight and Stitches is trying to destash 10,000 yds of yarn rather than skeins. I have been tracking my yardage as a way of really seeing how much yarn I use. My last yard sale sounds like your experience. We sold a few things on Offer Up and even then donated a lot of good stuff that didn't sell.
Wool and Pine’s Sea Glass pullover may be a way to use up scraps of yarn. Pattern says ‘DK Scraps, mix, match and embrace the random! Provided you meet gauge, you can use a mix of fibers and weights, such as fingering held double’. Have the pattern but haven’t knit it yet! Thanks for another great podcast!
I love your blue Ranunculus! The yarn you used sounds lovely. I still need to knit one! I’m finishing my Felix Pullover and maybe will move onto the Ranunculus. I love all my minis too…maybe you don’t need a destash but another shelf instead 😉 I can’t wait to hear about your knitting trip / boat excursion. What fun!
Hi Linda, youre always such delight to catch up with, I love your optimism. I love both of your Ranuculi, they are beautiful. Im curious to see how you manage your stash, I love seeing things get organised, colour coordinated and tidied up, theres nothing like a good tidy up to make things look all fresh and orderly. Your garage sale happy ending was nice to hear too, its a shame it didnt sell but hopefully your goodies will be appreciated by those in need... and now your basement is clutter free, lovely. Looking forward to your next vid. Cheers, MrsP
Hi Linda 👋 Enjoy your podcasts. I like your 4th ranunculus! I have made 2 (both are short sleeves) and thinking of making a long sleeve one next. They are beautiful and fun to make. I do enjoy colorwork a lot, your socks have inspired me to cast a pair on. I only do 2 at a time though knowing myself I'd never finish the 2nd one! I laughed at your garage sale...I've only Had 1 in my lifetime (Im 62) because after all the hours of prep work and 6 hours of waiting for peeps to show up...I made $3.00 😂. Never Again...glad you had options to rid yourself of the extras and feels so good to gift others! Good Job 😊
Absolutely love your summer Ranunculus. Your winter one is gorgeous as well but the white is stunning. After doing a year of socks last year I haven't felt the draw to cast on just yet but seeing the color work ones, which I haven't done yet, are a bit of an enticement. Hope you and your knitting friends have a wonderful time in Seattle. Take care.
Thanks Linda, I always enjoy your podcasts. I love the socks, especially the stained glass one, I love your ranunculus, especially the white linen one. The drape is fabulous on you. I look forward to the next podcast.
Hi first time viewer and i truly enjoyed your podcast. I am a crocheter and knitter (i am a stronger crocheter then knitter but enjoy doing both) wile watching your podcast I was knitting on my project "the Pressed Flowers cowl by Amy Christoffers". I have actually never ventured into sock knitting but have been thinking about it a lot, but looking at all your beautiful sock wips who knows i may cast on a pair sooner then later. Your icord blanket ... WOW!!! ... i had never seen anything like that.... how amazing is that!!! i loved it and look forward to seeing your progress on that. as for your colorwork socks that fit now but you worry might not fit where you may need more room would going up a needle size help with that and when you get past that spot maybe go back down? i don't know anything about socks so this advice might not be worth wile but was the thought i had as you were sharing your concerns

I was just watching your third version of last video because i thought there's another week before you podcast again.. but there wasn't 😊 I'm knitting an orange cotton summer shirt to my daughter and socks for me out of new to me yarn, color is watermelon stripes. It has been just perfect, about 20-22C° for a few days here in southwest Finland 🤗
Hi Linda, so much fun watching your podcast while I was crocheting on my newest project and getting rid of all my leftover sock yarn. It will be a granny square blanket and I crochet blocks of 25 rows and then will assemble them. It will going to be a fun all over colour blanket, loving it so far! I got the idea from the podcast 'it's a Sarah' and she put the blanket also on Ravelry. So maybe this is also an idea for all your mini's.
Love your ranunculus! It’s such a great pattern. I made 5 of them last year but still want to make a long sleeve one . All my summer ones have stretched sadly. They are mostly cotton and cotton and bamboo or linen / cotton blend. Also I left you a message on Instagram. ❤

Knitty Natty turned me on to the Quadraphinia blanket using 20 g minis! I've destashed quite a lot making this. It's fairly small, so I'm just adding more and more in front of the TV...mindless fun using all the colors!
Thank you for an inspiring episode, you could use your minies for colour work in sweaters, ex. The Tora tee or Jericos rose, its a good way to let your beautiful minies shine

Honestly I have never knit a bobble- lol… there definitely seems to be 2 camps… the “I love bobbles” and The “I hate bobbles” camp… not sure why but one day I will find out what side I am on🤗. Happy Knitting

Hi Linda, If you should need some inspiration for “minis”, Ali with Little Drops of Wonderful has a great inspirational video about 7 months ago, right at the first of the year with great ideas. Your makes are all so beautiful. Thank you for your podcast. All the best! Sheila
Hi Linda! Just a thought, but how about just going up a half or a whole needle size for your Lost in Sherwood socks if they are tight and/or especially as you head up to your arch. Another thought, superwash will stretch out a little too, but you probably remembered that already. I love the colors you chose!! ;)
I would probably do a pattern on the foot of a colour work sock rather than a carry. Seems easier to me. I always used 72 stitches in my colour work sock designs (Red Bird Knits on Rav) too in order to compensate for the less stretchy fabric. Just found your yarntubes. I'm In Ontario and a crazy knitter, quilter and cross stitcher.
Linda, you could try increasing the size of the needle you’re using for the colourwork socks. I’ve done that. Started on a smaller needle and thought it might be too tight as I went along so I just moved up to a bigger needle to give me a bit more room. Just remember to do the same for sock two. LOL😊
Good Morning Kim… wish I was going but not this year…heading back to Spain Oct 6th… looking forward to hearing all about it though when I watch your recap episode! Squish a few skeins for me!❤️❤️
Love you and your projects! Do you use Ravelry? I wish I could see project notes from you so I could have the details of the yarns you use, I sometimes can't catch what you mention on the podcast. Maybe you could add those details to your show notes? It would be so helpful. Thanks.
It is always so freeing & satisfying when you are able to move some "stuff" out of your life! I am also in a declutter stage. I loved your Ranunculus sweaters...I am probably the only soul left who hasn't made one, but it's coming soon! Happy Summer!
Minis Galore in '24? Lol, I thought I was a bit crazy with three socks on the go for July, but 7! Wow. I'm doing the July socks Sari Nordlund is having for her KAL, the West Knits KAL and Knitty Knatty's sock week challenge. 😁
Love your linen Ranunculus, it looks spectacular on you! You mentioned you cast on 65 stitches in your gray cotton Ranunculus, did you subsequently have to decrease the extra 5 stitches? I’ve knitted two Ranunculus and the neckline is too high up. So I would like to try to add 5 stitches to my next Ranunculus. Thanks for uploading so timely to start my Monday morning and clarifying whether you subsequently have to decrease 5 additional stitches! ❤❤
Oh thank you! No I did not decrease… when I got to the first set of increases I did 5 less… so the stitch count remained to pattern- hope that makes sense. Happy Knitting🤗
Thank you for the great company while I was knitting socks!! And I am going to Spain at the end of August for one month to meet my granddaughter that will arrive mid-August. I would love to buy yarn. What company, brand or shop that you suggest … I am going to Catalunya. Elise from Quebec
Hi Elise.. if you mean Barcelona you must go to “all you knit is love”! Great store… if you are heading to a smaller township/Pueblo) any of the haberdasheries will carry Katia yarns… great selection of fibre based❤️
@@forthefunofknit5322 My daughter lives in Vic, one hour north of Barcelona. There is a Katia store there. I will definitively go to All you knit is love. Thank you!!!
Thank you for giving me time to have FUN AND KNIT with YOU. Are you participating in the Secret Sock Along of Steven West? It is so much fun and teaching me a lot new tricks and stitches, he also has tutorials together with the new clue. It's just 4 weeks in Juli, 6 clue 1, 13 clue 2, 20 clue 3, 27 clue 4 and then ???????????? the final result will be beautifull original Steven West socks. You can do them in your own time, no stress just summer fun knitting. Knitting the colourwork socks inside out is so easy to do, I do all my socks that way, it gives me the possitive ease that's needed with my difficult sized feet.
How many stitches did you cast on for your white short sleeved ranunculus? You said 60 stitches for the long sleeved warmer ranunculus was what you cast on for that sweater, but the white sweater seemed to have a larger neck and more of a scoop neck.
Such fun early this morning ,,Linda,,,,

Love you and your projects! Do you use Ravelry? I wish I could see project notes from you so I could have the details of the yarns you use, I sometimes can't catch what you mention on the podcast. Maybe you could add those details to your show notes? It would be so helpful. Thanks.
Great points Vicki… I will add to show notes in a few days. Thank you for the nudge🤗Linda
It is always so freeing & satisfying when you are able to move some "stuff" out of your life! I am also in a declutter stage. I loved your Ranunculus sweaters...I am probably the only soul left who hasn't made one, but it's coming soon! Happy Summer!
You are not alone! My sister has not knit one yet either -lol. Mini Madness and Mayhem… here I come🤗 thank you for watching and Happy Knitting❤️
Minis Galore in '24? Lol, I thought I was a bit crazy with three socks on the go for July, but 7! Wow. I'm doing the July socks Sari Nordlund is having for her KAL, the West Knits KAL and Knitty Knatty's sock week challenge. 😁
Hi Heather…. I have written these down and diarized for next year!! Three times the fun!!❤️🤗Linda
That should have read “diarized”- lol… edited to fix👍
@@forthefunofknit5322 lol. I was sitting here, going, mmm, I don't think she actually meant disrobed. 😂
@@forthefunofknit5322 Thanks for the heads up, Linda! Yes, it makes sense! ☺️
Hi Pia- not this time… 7 sock WIPS… yikes! Can’t wait to see how they turn out though… love SW❤️❤️❤️ Happy Knitting.
Love your Ranunculus sweaters! Did you omit the front short rows? I’m trying this out on my WIP.
Yes I did!… seemed too complicated🤗
Oh… and by the way… don’t forget to send my your Ravelry deets and Pattern choice… you were one of the winners!!!
Oh wow! I’m just catching up with the rest of this video, as I had to get back to work. Thank you so much! 😊
LEENA...how it is said
Thank you!!!❤️
How many stitches did you cast on for your white short sleeved ranunculus? You said 60 stitches for the long sleeved warmer ranunculus was what you cast on for that sweater, but the white sweater seemed to have a larger neck and more of a scoop neck.
Hi Susan- 80🤗
I''m new to your podcast. Who in the heck is Patrick? Your cat?
Lol- Hubby❤️
Hi Linda! Do you have an email for brand partnerships? I'd love to chat about partnering on some crafty content, thanks! 😊
