It’s been proven time and time again that the only way ironclad wins is with a floor 2 demon form + snecko eye. Any evidence to the contrary is propaganda and fake news.
You prolly dont care at all but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@Jayceon Arthur I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
remember last upload when he swap relics and it almost killed him in the first act, and he needed three hours to win the run. this is the reverse of that.
cool code, It works for StS, but in the original monster train application, it assumes the distribution of ember costs is uniform, which I'm pretty sure wasn't true at the time during the beta when costs were 0-4, though maybe it was. Currently, with the 1-3 volatile gauge, getting 1 or 2 cost is twice as likely as 3 cost
Ive been doing a lot of custom runs that start with snecko and theyre a ton of fun, would highly suggest it (set it to A20, activate the “ending” modifier and the “praise snecko” modifier)
The spire Jorbs are back what a relief ! I'm avoiding Monster Train in the hope it gets release on the Switch. I plan on watching more of it when I'm already quite familiar with the game as I did with StS.
Hey Jorbs! Not sure if you'll see this but if STS is getting a teensy bit stale maybe check out the Downfall mod. It's essentially Save the Spire where you can choose 1 of 4 boss monsters to play as to stop those who are trying to slay the Spire. The first unlock is Slime Boss. And they all have custom cards and art to boot. Plus! It's an expansion. Not a replacement. So you just click the mode you want to play without having to remove the mod. I think it'd be a fresh series to watch you going through it.
Downfall is pretty unbalanced though, I did A20 with all bosses, yet with normal chars I dOnly managed A5. Pretty sure it will get stale really fast. And I'm enjoying jorbs STS con tent
@@Krigalishnikov Oh I didn't mean to imply that his content was getting stale! I more meant if he wanted a small change of pace. That being said I actually didn't know much about the balance of Downfall, and definitely think it'd get stale way quicker than vanilla STS but I thought it'd be just a cool quick delve into the mod for funsies.
your code doesn't look too gross. the only thing besides not using constant vars is that you can de-duplicate the while loops, eliminating the need for the costOne, costTwo, etc. variables. what i did each iteration was set the starting mana for each turn and a currentCost index to 1 (since we already know all 0 cost playable cards). then I wrote a while loop like so: while mana >= currentCost and currentCost
I just started playing this game. How does ascension work? After you do the 3 levels it rolls over to ascension one with the debuff? Then ascension two with another debuff until you get to 20? Is 20 the max?
36:52 technically it blocks for 13 right at that turn because thingmajig stops incoming damage and is actually one of the few times block potion "blocks" for more than 12 still funny tho lol
@@sh0ker because it kills the enemy that's going to deal 13 damage. It would've been optimal to play it there because in almost any other situation block potion only blocks for 12
@@willw5868 tbh 14 dmg even without str scaling isn't a terrible pickup in a1, normally it is because of the cost, but snecko negates that downside. Compared to a wild strike that only does 12, and has a downside of adding wounds. On top of that it's extremely good with str scaling and snecko for later acts. So seems like a logical pickup in this situation to me at least.
@@Daremodesu i just looked it up in the sts wiki. rares start at 3% chance minus 5% = -2%. every time a common is rolled, rare chance goes up by 1%. if this is right, the chance to see a rare where demon form was rolled was exactly 1%.

Ah yes floor 2 demon form with snecko eye. I just need to get better at the game it seems

1:10:40 the divine fountain.... what a forgotten event
I enjoyed the coding intermission, never really thought about simulating with code. Nice!
Oh man, is that IntelliJ? That's like my life for dozens of hours a week
Props to your play. I really love the breakdowns of the tough choices. You improve my play.
I was too scared to take snecko eye until the day I got it as a starting relic and blew the run out of the water. A++
Yup. Basically you run a bunch of fat expensive cards and a couple X spells. Sure, it’s random, but ultimately it’s a way to cheat on mana.

yeah. it bugs me that monster train does that, it's unusual and not explained well.
Some really incredible runs lately, I have been having good experiences trading boss relic too... but not on Ironclad.

You don't need a whole book to write every number: ℂ

no need to simulate there are only 4 ** 7 = 16384 possible energy arrangements
Simulating is easier than combinatorics.

I don't see much more.
The store at 7:15 has a Heavy Blade, is that not really good in a snecko eye demon form deck?
I think it is, its just not needed/ too slow for the beggining of act 1
good long term card, but u want to focus on front loaded damage in act 1 and that takes a bit to get going, so better to save gold

Hi Jorbs! Your Java code did not account for Dual Wield! Happy New Year!
This ones for you Guy who hates Sneko eye runs
Yo, I thought he didn't like baricade... does this mean he might change his mind of dig?
Barricade is a lot nicer when it’s not 3 mana.
God I forgot how much I hate java, good thing I never have to touch that again
Me reading this comment before seeing slime boss deleted: What does Java have to do with anything?
Me when boss relics appear: ooooooh!

Less than what... 10%. Between 6 and 10% max I think.
