    In this video I'm going to show you how to create and Invoice template using Microsoft Excel. Excel is a great low cost tool for doing many things, including making invoices that can then be exported to PDF so that the invoice can then be attached to emails or printed off.
    The invoice template that I will show you is easy and straight forward and can edited to suit your needs.
    You may just be starting off in a new business or doing a bit of consulting and you may not be at a stage where you require a software package that creates invoices. So why not use Excel to create your invoice!

    On my invoice I have a "button" place with a link for customers to click and pay amount. So I don't want the invoice to be a PDF I don't think.. not sure. How do I save and send my invoice to customers so they can do this? Beginner Excel person here.

    Great tutorial, exactly what i needed. Is it possible to auto sequence the invoice number as the template is reused?

      Yes you could use a simple =___+1 kind of formula. You could probably also use a basic macro. But for something quite small it might be just as easy to update it manually.

    If you save it to PDF, how do you go back and change the doc to make the next invoice?

      Next invoice you will need to go back into the excel template and either copy the sheet into a new tab for the new invoice or edit the current invoice template with the new details, then export to PDF again

    What does ABN stand for? You don't explain anything.

      Australian Business Number. All businesses in Australia will have one.
