Thanks for the compliment! I spend a lot of time writing the script and editing the video around it so that it's concise as it can get without all the junk. Which is the only reason it takes so long to make individual videos except for the leveling guide, that one was a freebie.
I'm super happy I found this video, I just got into this game a week ago and quickly fell into the 4-5 star t-doll trap construction. I felt like something was wrong with what I was doing. You're video really clears up some misconceptions I had. Thanks! Gonna be reworking my echelons and keep maybe 2 at max. I sure have quite a selection now... wish I had known about the core thing when I started. I'm surprised by the depth of this game, hopefully it will still be entertaining down the road, the portraits are fantastic (I love Saru's artwork) and the gameplay, while fast paced, is beginning to make much more sense.
Another note to mention is that just unlocking the better logistic missions is not enough. These missions require 5 dolls in a team but a leader of level 40-45. Other dolls in the team can be level 1.
This point joshr850 is making is very valid. I forgot to mention it as, by the natural flow of the game, you usually level some random 2* dolls to lv 30+ before you settle down on that primary squad you want to focus on. Though in my opinion, I feel like you could get away with the logistic leaders being with only 2 being at least 35 and 30 respectively on a minimal level. Since early game, you're going to be running low on ammo more than anything, so 5-2, 4-1, 3-3 and 2-2 do a good job of keeping your ammo up while bringing more rations and manpower. And if you start running low on parts, there's always 4-2. Otherwise, thanks for pointing that out.
Another tip to add is whatever T-doll your leveling for your squad to keep at least one copy of them in reserve for dummy linking. Especially if they are 4 or 5 star. Assuming of course said copies drop for you. Using a copy of a T-doll for dummy linking doesn't cost you any cores. I would recommend this more for the rare drops and to farm the copies of the 2 star T-dolls to use when needed. Doing this has help in lowering my core consumption and I find I'm only using them if I don't have said copy for that T-doll and I can't farm it easily.
Excellent video! Brought up very good points I didn't realize affecting my progress, such as mass T-Doll production for 4*/5*s eating up my resources with no cores to follow-up.
Get the three story ars (AR-15, sopmod, m4) and throw them in a squad along with skorpion and sten. This squad can and will carry you quite far. Before that, use friend echelons to cheese really hard missions and use whatever you can to clear 3-6.

about MGI unit, they are very useful during night battle since they can equip AP ammo. just 2 MGI unit can help train low level units during early stage
I'm a bit of a narrative/character driven player, so I was quite insistent on only using Dolls I knew I would be sticking with when I started EN (played for a while on CN prior to that so I knew what to expect). That meant only using certain 2-3-stars I liked such as OTs-12 and Galil. I only levelled the Dolls I wanted to level and left out those I knew I won't be using later on. Call it self-nerfing, but I wanted to play the story mode at my own pace and sort of watch my Echelons grow as I played, so it felt I was experiencing the story and playing through them and slowly checking their improvement, which is pretty accomplishing in its own way. So in other words, stay informed and know what you're doing so you can play your best, but always play the way you enjoy most of all, otherwise you won't have fun. Choose wisely what you're willing to suffer through if it means you can get long-term enjoyment out of the game. I was in core/contract hell for a while because I wanted a specific T-Doll for a squad, most recently Am RFB and IWS, but I stayed patient and fortunately my luck is consistently okay to get them eventually. I admit I'm still not at end-game yet, I only play casually, but I'm enjoying myself, treating the next story Chapter as my next goal to prepare my squads for and every bit of progress feels tangible. I've played Fate/GO, Chain Chronicle and countless other games but GF is the only one I've stuck with and plan to.
i played this game recently (by recently i meant 4 days ago) but lemme tell you my tips: try to level up and dummy link your FIRST echelon as soon as possible, because that echelon will be the very foundation of the entire game just like what the video said. it did work and im only lvl 27 with an already powerful Lvl Average 92 AR/SMG echelon with 20,000+ combat effectiveness while still have 10,000+ of each resource. try to even out using your Combat Report and Enhancement Capsule items between your T-Dolls in your first echelon, otherwise it will be useless. Trust me. try to depend on story rewards, event rewards (because most of them are just introductory missions like Singularity and Continuum Turbulence events give you 1000 of each resource, which is VERY handy to get and use.) early game to produce more T-Dolls and leveling them up. ALWAYS do your Logistic Support, that's the reason why i have over 10,000+ of each resource. I do it by first making high lvl T-Dolls be the leaders and sending 2-4 echelons to high value Logistic missions. (Only send your First Echelon if you literally have nothing to do involving them or you're about to go to sleep.) Once i finish my first echelon, i will build an RF/HG echelon to take out armored units for later chapters while my first echelon handle the rest. And another AR/SMG on my third echelon, and a MG/SG echelon for my fourth echelon. (I don't have an idea for echelons 5-10 yet but im gonna assume im using it for memes.) P.S for the love of God, whatever you do, DO NOT SCRAP THE Anti-Rain Team (consists of M4A1, M4 SOPMOD-II, ST AR-15, M16A1, and RO635) they are only available through story missions and if you scrap them, they're gone forever. They cannot be made via T-Doll Production. If you're wondering how the hell did i achieve 20,000+ combat effectiveness and aren't familiar with formation numbers here's the example: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 For the positioning of T-Dolls: (Fully dummy-linked all of them. Yes, only Commander Level 27 and i already dummy-linked all of them, crazy right?.. right?) 1. G11 (Lvl 95) x5 2. Skorpion (Lvl 92) x5 4. M4A1 (Lvl 94) x5 5. Sten Mk II (Lvl 92) x5 7. ST AR-15 (Lvl 92) x5 (So far my best damage dealer is G11 through my research for some reason even though she has a below average DPS between ARs, guess it's the skill that pays off.) I know it's a bit of a flex but im also not sure if most Commanders already have a lvl 90+ echelon by Commander Level 25+ but im gonna put my comment here for others. If they do, then i look like an absolute idiot. PEACE! Quick Edit: Springfield best girl hands down. (maybe also M16 and Cinnamon Roll.) Probably my last edit, but this is important: Only construct 1-4 T-Dolls every day, don't rush for 4-5 star T-dolls, they don't matter early game, besides, you have story rewarded T-Dolls like the Anti-Rain Team. when Equipment Production is unlocked you can probably do 1-5 Equipments every day? i dunno, it depends on how much you invest in it. Last tip, abuse the hell out of your friend echelons, TRUST ME.
Extra tip: Don't use main echelon for farming enhancement fodder when you pass x3 dummy linking...you'll find yourself losing a bunch of mats. Instead make a x1 echelon that can farm 1-2 instead, you'll save tons of mats while still getting 4-5 fodder units for enhancement.
Amazing that your guides are always so easy to understand great stuff !! Hopefully can add you one day in English server cause you currently had full friendlist
Wow you talk like a motivational speaker. I went from knowing absolutely nothing you said to everything in 5 days playing this game. Thanks to that Im playing at max efficiency
I kinda wish I could start over now. But a lot of this stuff is easier said than done, I had to produce A LOT just to get my first AR. They just weren't there and all I had was HG. But now I really just want to start over especially after I've learned all this new stuff
Yo. Just found your channel and your vids are fantastic. Any plans on explaining the equipment system? I remember hearing from someone that equipment star rating doesn't matter because of something something but i couldn't verify ir myself or anywhere else. P.S. Subbed
toxr95 I manually extracted assets from the game so you'd either have to do the same or maybe find someone who has all of it uploaded somewhere online.
I'd recommend at least leveling MGs until you clear Night Mission 2-4 to unlock equipment enhancement. MGs and Rifles with AP ammo are practically required for those missions. My 2 main teams are WW2 based with American team having 1 Rifle, 2 MGs, 1 SMG, 1 Hand Gun. The second team has 1 AR, 2 MGs, 1 Rifle and 1 Hand Gun. They can dish out some pretty good damage. I know it's not good for buffs but meh it's been working well enough lol.
Thanks for quality videos! Edit:regarding your level grinding guide, is there a rough estimate on how long it takes to reach each stage of the level penalty?
Welp I embraced Core Hell with leveling and linking Negev, don´t regret it xD Use her aswell as M4A1, Suomi, Galil and Sten Mk II for my first main Echelon... yes I know rip mah cores xD
I really wish more people would watch this. I got some friends added in the game and I see their support echelons stuck at 2-3k CE because they just use a team of 4-5* with no rhyme or reason. I'd assume they never bothered enhancing and just focused on using their cores to dummy-link them. Also, some people don't do anything about their support echelons and I have to remind them to change it from the 2 lvl 2*s :/
The best way to avoid core Hell is to NEVER level star 4-5 unless start four dolls are in your main squad. Level up four dolls to whatever your highest logistic requires so you can have a squad of one doll who fits the level requirement and four level one dolls to fill the unit requirement. If your in core hell I highly suggest you retire four-three star dolls if you don’t use them. Five star dolls do give more cores but are still really good so just keep it as a goal to one day use them in a squad.
Thanks for this, I only just started in the last few days and I fell into the first two traps you mentioned lol. I spammed construction, and while I got some decent units (got 3 5* and a bunch of 4 and 3* units) I had to essentially just AFK logistic missions from chapter 1-2 and not play for a couple days to let those resources regen. Is there a Girls Frontline Discord server at all? Would be good to get some more high levelled friends on my friends list to brute force the story missions.
Also love sprinfield i love his motherly side... also with W2K is perfect. But i have a question... how much time i keep my squad of 2-3 stars? I have in one squad: STG44, STEN MK3, SKORPION, GALIL and AK47. and in a second one with rifles and they are. IDW NYAAAAAAA, M38, SIG-510, G43 and FF-FN49. I am in the 4-5 and yeah i keep them best gear to help them, and with max stats but some times i feel that they lack behind in dmg.
Tbh this game if u r just playing for fun, u can just yolo. The most important guide is actually rush lvl necessary units relevant in the upcoming event + getting equipments. And tips should be on how to improve grind efficiency. But grinding is for hardcore players. Lastly is to unlock logistics asap. This is easy if u r playing on server that already hv friend system. Beyond that the game is just a costume vending machine. As for units, it isnt a bad idea to spam pistols or thompson. Thompson especially drops like hotcakes besides hk plus she is relevant in almost all events as the beefiest tank.
Thank god I have the brain of an FGO player, raise low rarities for emergencies (you never know when you need em) and be as frugal as possible until your out of the water.
Hahaha, I got lucky enough to have a rate up event pop up almost just after I started. As soon as I saw the announcement I saved all the contracts I was getting for the achievements and new player missions and made out like a bandit with Suomi, SR-3MP, FAL, Thompson, and NTW-20 At least for Suomi and 3MP, I embrace core hell aaa
I did not bother to read or watch gfl tutorials before I started. So I, Used up my resources for manufacturing. Leveling up my other teams. Leveling up my mgs/hgs. Now I am stuck in resource hell and core hell.
Just started 2 days ago. I have no more ammo, my squad consists of 1smg, 1 hg, 1rf and 2 ars. I have no more cores either. I’m pretty sure o did everything wrong.
What about HG that have little boosts to evasion for SMGs but have those skills that grant evasion to whole team for a shot time?. Those are the only HG I use apart from contender which is for my No.1 party for just quick kills.
Thanks for the tips. What level should I get my main squad to before I start working on a night squad? I noticed I'm missing out on a lot of dailies by not clearing to 2-4N, but you seem to require a pretty high level team to clear Night levels.
You're not missing out on much for not being able to clear 1-4n since that's only calibrations, which are weeklies. 1-4n is a different story since that's the equipment upgrading feature. I personally recommend leveling your 1st squad to lv 90 before working on anything else.
I got stuck on both of these traps 😰 I was getting so confused cause I couldn’t progress further cause they couldn’t dummy link and I produced too many random dolls. Thanks for the guide I’m now well on my way
Read in one of the game loading screens that the total amount of cores and contracts actually increases the chances of you getting rare guns in Production even thought I didn't see a single person mention this anywhere? Is this true?
Only applies to heavy construction, which hasn't been released on the global server yet. You're SOL if you were hoping you can do that for normal construction; trust me i wished that was the case too.
Thanks a lot for your video. as a total beginner (i've never played a game that is like Girls' Frontline), it is really helpful, but i'd like to ask something about two points. As i started playing around a week and a half ago, i began with characters i really liked, and the one i like the most at the moment is the LWMMG. she's probably the strongest in my team yet she does use a lot of ammos like you stated in the video. Should i use another AR/SMG (given that i'll have to level it from level 1), or can i stick with her? Also, as I only have 4 Echs right now. is it worth spending on getting others, so i can have my main echelon always ready, or should i keep my currency for more important stuff ? Thanks a lot again, everything including your exp spots video, this one and the 'breakdown' video (although there's only AR rifles so far) are really helpful. Carry on the good work!
1. Regarding LWMMG If you want to prioritize making your account "stronger" in the most efficient way, drop LWMMG for now and start leveling a squad of 2 SMG 3 AR or 2 SMG 2 AR 1 RF if you haven't already. Cause if you were to grind properly, you easily go through 20k ammo in a few hours of grinding with just that composition. Now if you had an MG in the mix, you would go through even more ammo, meaning more down time for you as you wait for resources to regen. If you like taking your time though, she's definitely a good MG to level and I'd also recommend M2HB alongside with her. 2. Usage of rocks/gems So this'll be in a future video, but the priority for spending your rocks is in the order of: 1. More Squad Slots (at least up to 6th Squad) 2. Dorms (personally recommend at least 5) 3. Doll/Equipment Inventory Increase If you're a F2P, the top priority is Squad Slots. You'd want at least 6 so that you can send 4 off on logistics while you can still grind with the remaining 2 squads. After that would be dorms since you can increase your battery regen which leads to additional combat reports. Then would be the inventory as you see fit since only having 100 dolls is pretty small compared to how many dolls there are in game.
hey rx I'm a beginning player and my squad is really good with cores and don't eat a lot of them (grizzly-ak47-m4a1-sten mkII-scorpion) but here's the thing you said that I shouldn't use hg since they're supports and since grizzly has a great tile formation that buff the damage and also the evasion and her skill buffs all of my t doll's damage I think she's worth the slot but please see if my squad has any problems and I'll try to change them. ps I'm planning to make the mp5 in my squad because of her ability and I want to make her the primary tank but not now since I just got her and also her ability take a long cd I'll train her as much as i can and then lvl her up and make her in my squad if you think that anything that i do is wrong tell me or give me an early warning thanks.
I say don't level HGs early game as their tile buffs aren't at max capacity until they've been dummy linked 4 times. And during early game, you really don't want to have that kind of luxury of waiting to fully dummy link your HG since you can have waaay more DPS if you leveled another AR instead. Other than that, drop AK for a different AR. If you have more cores, level AR 15, if not FNC or OTs12 will do.
So I have my main team at around level 90 and mostly 5x, and other than slowly gathering up cores and dupes for the UMP sisters, I'm not sure what my next step should be. I'm slowly working on a rifle team now that I have a WA2000, and SVD-chan and her three dupes carried me through the first two stages of night mission so I have all the facilities available unlocked, and all the available maps are unlocked/finished through ch6. I guess I could start corpse dragging but it seems a little meaningless since I feel like I shouldn't spend the cores on my rifle team. Do I just sit around and play logistics while just casually doing dailies to pray for a 5* equip that isn't my twelfth nightvision? Also where's /my/ Springfield-chan?
Just keep leveling and grind for special equipment and cores. The further you can get ahead now, the more you can slack later on in the game. Congrats, you beat the tutorial; Welcome to Girls' Frontline, the grind never stops.

I've played Fate/GO, Chain Chronicle and countless other games but GF is the only one I've stuck with and plan to.
i played this game recently (by recently i meant 4 days ago) but lemme tell you my tips:
try to level up and dummy link your FIRST echelon as soon as possible, because that echelon will be the very foundation of the entire game just like what the video said.
it did work and im only lvl 27 with an already powerful Lvl Average 92 AR/SMG echelon with 20,000+ combat effectiveness while still have 10,000+ of each resource. try to even out using your Combat Report and Enhancement Capsule items between your T-Dolls in your first echelon, otherwise it will be useless. Trust me.
try to depend on story rewards, event rewards (because most of them are just introductory missions like Singularity and Continuum Turbulence events give you 1000 of each resource, which is VERY handy to get and use.) early game to produce more T-Dolls and leveling them up.
ALWAYS do your Logistic Support, that's the reason why i have over 10,000+ of each resource. I do it by first making high lvl T-Dolls be the leaders and sending 2-4 echelons to high value Logistic missions. (Only send your First Echelon if you literally have nothing to do involving them or you're about to go to sleep.)
Once i finish my first echelon, i will build an RF/HG echelon to take out armored units for later chapters while my first echelon handle the rest. And another AR/SMG on my third echelon, and a MG/SG echelon for my fourth echelon. (I don't have an idea for echelons 5-10 yet but im gonna assume im using it for memes.)
P.S for the love of God, whatever you do, DO NOT SCRAP THE Anti-Rain Team (consists of M4A1, M4 SOPMOD-II, ST AR-15, M16A1, and RO635) they are only available through story missions and if you scrap them, they're gone forever. They cannot be made via T-Doll Production.
If you're wondering how the hell did i achieve 20,000+ combat effectiveness and aren't familiar with formation numbers here's the example:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
For the positioning of T-Dolls:
(Fully dummy-linked all of them. Yes, only Commander Level 27 and i already dummy-linked all of them, crazy right?.. right?)
1. G11 (Lvl 95) x5
2. Skorpion (Lvl 92) x5
4. M4A1 (Lvl 94) x5
5. Sten Mk II (Lvl 92) x5
7. ST AR-15 (Lvl 92) x5
(So far my best damage dealer is G11 through my research for some reason even though she has a below average DPS between ARs, guess it's the skill that pays off.)
I know it's a bit of a flex but im also not sure if most Commanders already have a lvl 90+ echelon by Commander Level 25+ but im gonna put my comment here for others. If they do, then i look like an absolute idiot. PEACE!
Quick Edit: Springfield best girl hands down.
(maybe also M16 and Cinnamon Roll.)
Probably my last edit, but this is important: Only construct 1-4 T-Dolls every day, don't rush for 4-5 star T-dolls, they don't matter early game, besides, you have story rewarded T-Dolls like the Anti-Rain Team. when Equipment Production is unlocked you can probably do 1-5 Equipments every day? i dunno, it depends on how much you invest in it. Last tip, abuse the hell out of your friend echelons, TRUST ME.
Love your vids!
Super informative and really well edited, keep at it!
Just got into this pub and damn already expended some three stars for leveling up, lmao. Good info!
got as far as core management, going back to azur lane...
@@syaondri i trying to upgrade ships with duplicates a much as possible. Saving bulins for events
@@syaondri you cant get duplicates for event ships, but you can get duplicates for map and gacha ships (eventually) (not akagi).
Holy hell, I just started playing 2 weeks ago and this helped me a lot... Thanks man!
Good guide, it's fun to watch and easy to understand. Keep up the good work!
amazing video, this is what i want, specific guide for beginners, thank you so much, keep the good work my friend.
I have done all the the bad. Thank you for the tips! Gonna start beating the campaign now!
The no construction one was very very relatable because I had no more echelon space
Your videos are very informative and helpful, keep it up! Im sure you'll get alot of views in no time!
Use your friend's support
Looks at friends list
No friends
Cries at the corner
Also, Combat Training is a gift given by God that shouldn't be squandered
Yep I certainly screwed up. I am now officially in core hell. Good thing I'm near ch4
is it a smart idea to build a less powerful secondary team to hold down command post?
Thanks to the info within one week im already on chapter 8
I’ve been I core hell about 3 days now and I barely started a week ago
Thanks for the guide and what to look out for. Although I'm kind of going blind and casually playing (already broke the mg rule). thanks again
Amazing that your guides are always so easy to understand great stuff !!
Hopefully can add you one day in English server cause you currently had full friendlist
Wow almost fell into the construction spam trap, since I started this week and spammed about 10 per day
Wow you talk like a motivational speaker.
Great video, this is really helpful.
Yo. Just found your channel and your vids are fantastic. Any plans on explaining the equipment system? I remember hearing from someone that equipment star rating doesn't matter because of something something but i couldn't verify ir myself or anywhere else.
P.S. Subbed
That'll be down the line. But as a general rule of thumb, higher rarity is better.
I already fell victim to each and every trap but it still worked out
Where can i find core icons like in 2:00? I want to use it in my discord. Please good sir, help.
toxr95 I manually extracted assets from the game so you'd either have to do the same or maybe find someone who has all of it uploaded somewhere online.
I kinda spam on production (I am lv12) and now I got Negev and ump 9
But thanks to that, I now have less than 5k resources
A very helpful tips, indeed
Thanks for quality videos!
Edit:regarding your level grinding guide, is there a rough estimate on how long it takes to reach each stage of the level penalty?
Really good guide for new guys!
I pulled a Vector, 416, and a Gr G36c this week. I can hear core satan calling.
Welp I embraced Core Hell with leveling and linking Negev, don´t regret it xD
Use her aswell as M4A1, Suomi, Galil and Sten Mk II for my first main Echelon... yes I know rip mah cores xD
I just made a squad with an event 5* and 2 other 5*s
Core hell is coming for me
I really wish more people would watch this.
I have in one squad:
STG44, STEN MK3, SKORPION, GALIL and AK47.
and in a second one with rifles and they are.
Great work! Keep it up!
Started about a week ago and I already have several 4 and 5 stars. Core hell is calling my name
i am addicted to crafting and you can't stop me
tfw spending shit tons of manpower to try getting Suomi, day 14 still doesn't work and my manpower is 2 digits
im commenting for the youtube gods 0.00000002% show up in recommended buff bless you man
constructs 4 dolls, aiming for WA or SVD
get 3 Springfields in a row, and a 2 star
Hahaha, I got lucky enough to have a rate up event pop up almost just after I started. As soon as I saw the announcement I saved all the contracts I was getting for the achievements and new player missions and made out like a bandit with Suomi, SR-3MP, FAL, Thompson, and NTW-20
At least for Suomi and 3MP, I embrace core hell
aaa
...Seriously.
*THANK YOU!!!!*
Great new player vid.
thank you for this vid
i realized that i made so much mistakes
I did not bother to read or watch gfl tutorials before I started.
So I,
Used up my resources for manufacturing.
It’s funny, 3 star and above can give dummy cores but of all the t dolls I have I can only disassemble 1
Well...wish I found this when I first started :P RIP me
Thanks for the tips.
Got 3 hk 416s in like 2 days, welp, guess I might as well stop trying to pull ksg because there goes all my luck
I got stuck on both of these traps 😰 I was getting so confused cause I couldn’t progress further cause they couldn’t dummy link and I produced too many random dolls. Thanks for the guide I’m now well on my way
Please keep uploading these types of videos I need someone like you in my life xD💜😭
My god i wish i watched these tip videos at the beginning of my adventure into Girls Frontline.
Really wished I knew about only using 2* for enhancement.
I remember using three Thompsons to upgrade a PPK because I was running out of space
FML
At what level can I put 5/4 star dolls in the teams?
Lol i just played for like 3 days and i have 2 legendary, one 4* and two 3*. Now i understood why i always run out of resources
1. Regarding LWMMG
If you want to prioritize making your account "stronger" in the most efficient way, drop LWMMG for now and start leveling a squad of 2 SMG 3 AR or 2 SMG 2 AR 1 RF if you haven't already.
2. Usage of rocks/gems
So this'll be in a future video, but the priority for spending your rocks is in the order of:
1. More Squad Slots (at least up to 6th Squad)
2. Dorms (personally recommend at least 5)
3. Doll/Equipment Inventory Increase
If you're a F2P, the top priority is Squad Slots.
Thanks a lot for your answer, that will definitely help me in my choices on this game. i'll follow your advices and i'll try to advance step by step
just caught yourself a sub, thank you for the tips sir
hey rx I'm a beginning player and my squad is really good with cores and don't eat a lot of them (grizzly-ak47-m4a1-sten mkII-scorpion) but here's the thing you said that I shouldn't use hg since they're supports and since grizzly has a great tile formation that buff the damage and also the evasion and her skill buffs all of my t doll's damage I think she's worth the slot but please see if my squad has any problems and I'll try to change them.
ps I'm planning to make the mp5 in my squad because of her ability and I want to make her the primary tank but not now since I just got her and also her ability take a long cd I'll train her as much as i can and then lvl her up and make her in my squad if you think that anything that i do is wrong tell me or give me an early warning thanks.
Is it worthy to use cores in one 5* only in starter?
Yeah, I already fell to all the traps you mentioned and did all you said not to do lol. Atleast I haven't made 3*+ become upgrade fodder.
