Hi, Katie! Will you please review some ‘A Cheerful Giver’ candles in the future? I just discovered that they employ special needs adults to help wick their candles, and as a mother of a special needs little boy (who unfortunately has been treated differently by some people at times because of his disability) I was SO happy to see that this company is reaching out in their community and doing this! It makes my momma, and candle loving heart, happy! And their pumpkin and beehive jars are absolutely beautiful. I definitely want to place an order soon, and I’d love to hear your thoughts! 💙

Yes it was a wild month for my collection! I was bummed that my sinuses reacted like that, but also relieved to make the connection & not deal with the annoying pain any more. I haven’t had it since I decluttered those candles.
Only 92 candles in the beginning of June? Wow, I still have in the 200's somewhere, my decluttering method is burning two candles at once here in the bedroom. I'll be missing out on the new scents to me from BBW and other brands. I do give away to family at times some candles I don't need or have a backup. The last one I gave away was my backup of Yankee's Balsam Forest, which I highly recommend during Christmas. Congrats on accepting being a moderator on their Facebook page, sounds fun. I'm pairing Yankee's Beach Walk with Homeworx Basket Of Apples (solid 8, which drowns out the other fragrance). Purchased it at T.J. Maxx two weeks ago with Limoncello Cupcake. Have a happy 4th! I'll be lighting some fireworks this Thursday. BBW Firecracker Pop will be burned that day. Happy burning. Sorry to hear about your sinus pain. Hope you find another brand that suits you. *gasp* Goose Creek has been making Katie less joyful - it has to go! To be honest with you, for some reason this didn’t surprise me. I’ve been enjoying Goose Creek for the most part, but it is pretty obvious they are using a pretty low-quality wax formula. That’s just my theory. The benefit of this formula is obviously that they are some of the strongest candles around. A downfall of this is that they are more sooty, and more likely to bother people with sensitivities. The thing about candles is that there is always a trade-off. The good news is that you figured this out quickly - and GC was chill about your returns! Most of us have a candle brand that we just don’t buy/cover for one reason or another. What’s important is your health. I love your declutter video! I think it’s helpful to know how other candle lovers deal with this stuff. I don’t count candles, I limit myself by space. I have one closet, and one deep storage situation. There has to space in either of those places or I’m not allowed anymore lol. Quite frankly, I don’t ever want to count them 😂😂😂 🙈 🙈 🙈

I know a lot of people who are very sensitive to candles & they say that Homeworx & Kringle candles don’t bother them at all, but BBW ones do. That being said, I like the performance of the former, but if people are used to some of the BBW powerhouses, they’re disappointed that the H & K don’t smack them in the face with fragrance. I have pretty limited space in my house to store candles (most are in my 12 year old son’s closet 🤦🏼♀️😂) & by nature, I am a pretty organized person, so this series is a natural fit for me. I like that I now really know my collection & purchase candles that compliment existing ones.

I finished 2 kringle fruit candles, they were ok but not amazing.
I was really disappointed that my sinuses reacted that way because I love bringing you all reviews on various brands. Sommer gives great reviews. No matter how many empties I get through, it always feels like an accomplishment when I finish burning a candle. Kringle’s fruit scents are hit or miss for me too…
KATIE!!!!! Omg I’m allergic to Goose Creek too!!! I discovered it about 5-6 years ago and I was sad. In those days GC’s customer service was BEYOND HORRIBLE and they treated me like I was crazy (tbh I thought I was - I had never reacted to any candle before). They made me pay for shipping back and only refunded me a percentage of what I bought. Needless to say, I’ve never bought them since. So strange! Like I said, I thought I was crazy, and how can I burn soooo many other candles and not have a problem? I’m super curious as to what we are reacting to. Mine was even more acute than yours. My eyes were weeping so much I couldn’t see 😢

Any exposure and my eyes would start itching and tearing up and I’d start sneezing. I’m allergic to cats, and it was a very similar reaction.
I actually prefer to burn my candles because it works best with how my house is set up. I actually don’t use plug ins because, again, I don’t have a huge home & I think it’s a little too much fragrance for my space. Glad you enjoy your warmer! 😊

I only use a candle lamp warmer. I cant burn any candles. Plug ins are dangerous esp. for animals

I feel the same way about BBW candles. It burns my nose and sinuses so much. I may have to give away the 40 some BBW candles I have.
