The first section is the most compelling piece of music and dance I've ever seen. So delightfully graceful, tribal and full of feminine vitality and strength. I love it.
The year of Saturday Night Fever. Yet this was so much more advanced. Let’s not forget that this music was created to be played in dance clubs with that incredible sound technology to create a feeling of being on top of the world. By the way Giorgio dressed in the “right” interpretation of 70s style - there was a right and wrong way to do it.
Go back ten years, and the typical disco wouldn't have the quality of sound reproduction, especially in the bass, for this to even work. Definitely some chicken and egg going on.

"From Here To Eternity" - I can hear everything - the step-rhythm, the Vocoder sound that led to the 1980s "Centaur" voice, the low-pass and high-pass filtering, arpeggiations, voltage control oscillators, and the "space-disco" thing - no wonder Giorgio Moroder made a great contribution to EDM history!!!!

There were a few other tracks around at the time or just before that made a contribution too, such as Popcorn (the backing not the annoying melody) , Magic Fly, etc. Moroder might claim to be the first to put it all together in a compelling and sophisticated package, though, and did so with a lot of style.
It started with Kraftwerk and then Giorgio took that electronic music and started everything we here today in modern dance music. I feel love was the very beginning of everything we here today. It was like the "Big Bang" of disco and trance and everything else. Its very rare that you can trace an evolution in music to one song but "I Feel Love" was the very beginning of modern dance music.

@@a0b0Yes, tnx for the insight, thats what I was always wondering, I would have been in complete trance on the dance floor to hear something so futuristic in that time, the more I listen to this its like some beats are from the 90s, its just mindblowing. imagine if we had songs today predicting the music in future
When the King and Queen of Disco come together for one song you know it's going to be good..
22 July 1977. And the rest is history 😋 Way ahead of its time.
That transition from 1:45 to 2:30 with the way the dancers are moving is really epic!
Out of this world
A dream!
A way into the bliss
The NRG & Synthpop Sound of Giorgio⚡Moroder father of EDM since 1977.
PD: Esto no es música Disco, Funk, Soul, R&B ni Motown.
@@joezava8257 you forgot to add trance
Still blows me away. Still sounds like the future.
Giorgio, your music is eternal. Grazie!!
Or as long as people remember it.
Not really "Giorgio" but okay.
one of the best tracks ever made...

Gives me chills still, respect to Giorgo and Donna 2020

The first section is the most compelling piece of music and dance I've ever seen. So delightfully graceful, tribal and full of feminine vitality and strength. I love it.
I danced these a million times in 1978! Unforgettable!
Ouçam Giorgio , o cara que iñventou a música eletrônica.
Giorgio Moroder 100% made in italy ! Orgoglio italiano!!
your watching TOTP'S.... UK 🤭
Thanks to my God Giorgio Moroder Is alive 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@BigryzYok...but GIORGIO MORODER he's italian 😊
@@BigryzY Still Italian....where you're watching it is irrelevant.
@@65alef Yes Italien passport ... ;-) His real name was Hans-Jörg, not Giorgio ... ;-)
Forever mister Giorgio Moroder Great Genius.! The Best.! Forever.!!!

A master. A teacher of production. And an innovator on so many levels.
Thoses 2 tracks sounds very futuric ^^ imagine in 1977 in club earing this ? 1977 when i was born ^^
1977 Escuchá el Working To The Midnight Shif, Queen For A Day, Now I Need You, I Feel Love y más temas del album From Here To Eternity.
My name is Giovanni Giorgio, but everybody calls me...
The father and pionner of EDM.
I was 19 and danced to this and other amazing tracks at the Embassy Club in London where the extended video promo for “Mighty Real” (Sylvester) was filmed. The whole experience of clubbing in the late 1970s seemed like stepping into an alternate futuristic universe: th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=mighty+real
Bravi.
DISCO WILL ALWAYS LIVE BABY!!!!
literally ;)
Yes,look at all the beautiful, happy, people!!
In the clubs now, everyone will need to wear a mask, and stand 6ft away from each other on the dance floor? :(
Disco music will live for ever. In a party with friends and family, who is going to resist dancing disco music?
"I Feel Love" is a fantastic song, but you can see that it's not for dancing. I think it' a song to feel, to make a mind trip.
Probably only if you are on drugs
Qqqq
Donna can dance to I feel love:
Well, there's the issue right there.. you're thinking more than you're feeling! I assure you that's danceable business!
I think you are 100% right ...hear it on DMT and you will feel what level 2 is .... (level 1 being here ....planet earth)
44 years later and here I am still listening to the moustache man. I still got the same disco move just like back then. Disco is immortal indeed.
Giorgio Moroder is the father of the modern EDM
Giorgio Moroder woww😮❤
Giorgio moroder Instoppable, influence is global
Il migliore del mondo.Tutto è partito da lui.Un Grande❤❤❤
For those who were not limited only to rock, Donna and Giorgio are real modern music.
Im DJin Since 1993 in UK , Mostly Greece , Ibiza , Yachts clubs after parties. Weather is Melodic Tech Progressive even Trance when you pop I FEEL LOVE in any of the 200 remixes the dane floor explodes and that has worked even with the JAPANESE in Tokyo one night in 2007. If we could harness the energy on this dance floor, we could rocket to the moon !
It´s Giorgio
Moroder IMMENSO. In Italia lo riascoltiamo volentieri in pochi !
GIORGIO MORODER GENIUS Dubbed the "Father of Disco", Moroder is credited with pioneering Italo disco and electronic dance music, and his work with synthesizers heavily influenced several music genres such as new wave, house and techno music 🎶 💿 🎤 👏🏻 🎸 🕺
MASTER MORODER!! From Here to Eternity changed my life
Genio
The Giorgio Moroder sound was unbelievable.
I had no idea there is a music god whom I've never heard of in my decades of living on Earth ... I'm blown away by this Giorgio Moroder .. this really shows there are still geniuses tucked away at the remote corners of the earth untouched by the marketing machineries ..
What? This guy is a legend. He wasn't hiding under a rock....
It's ok. I never think less of people for discovering and appreciating good music. Same goes for art, books, tv, and movies... There's always more to discover.
Depends on what music genres you are exposed to, I've only been revisiting disco/early electronic recently.
there are two versions of this song that you only hear here, man do i love this version it sounds angelic.
Giorgio in 2022 still sounds super modern n avant garde he's just timeless🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💚

I Feel Love must be the greatest Disco hit ever! Fast style Synthesizers used in the mid late 70's RIP Donna Summer
It was my mum who bought 'I Feel Love' in 1977, for my sisters and I (I was 8) We would play this song again and again and imagine we were robots in my home in Poplar, east London.
