    RIP Pat Hitchcock. She passed away on August 9, 2021 at the age of 93.

    I would never ever realize that Alfred Hitchcock's appearance in this movie was him standing outside the office at the very beginning of this scene when Janet Leigh walks in.

      You can tell that she's trying to keep it together, but deep down, she wants to smack him in the face. Being at work though, she has to be professional and put up with his casual sexism.

      I was thinking the exact same thing, except less attractive than Vivian Leigh isn't necessarily "ugly!" Love the rich "old rascal" character actor. Every scene was classic.

      She's less attractive than Janet Leigh as well. The rich "old rascal" character actor is Frank Albertson, he looked very different as a younger man in the 30s. @@stingraybeach9710

      @@SunBunz It's about average for a nice house in the U.S., as long as you're not in NYC, San Francisco, or any other major city. In Arizona, that could buy a very decent house--and, remember, it's paid in full.

    I’ve seen this film (one of my favorites) many times. The Bernard Herrmann music track is wonderful. A reviewer pointed out something I never noticed. Marion may have decided to steal the money when Cassidy boasted he has never declared it to the IRS. That meant he couldn’t report the theft to the police. If he did, he would be arrested for tax evasion by the IRS.

      Space Ace Actually it’s likely he got the money back. It was in the car that was pulled out of the swamp at the end of the film. Likely he felt she got what she deserved. Omg it’s almost scary to imagine the possibilities.

    Hard to believe this is veteran actor Frank Albertson...first saw this guy playing Kate Hepburn's brother in Alice Adams (1935). 25 years later he doesn't even look recognizable. He looks like he's aged into a completely different person...looks, voice..would never guess this is the same guy...I actually still don't believe it, lol.

      Presumably, she took the tranquilisers to alleviate the anxiety of having sex with her husband for the first time. Teddy was either offended by this or just didn't want to have sex with a tranked-up wife

    The actual reason why Marion stolen $40,000 because she and Sam wanted to get married but in order to do that, she stole it so she can buy items for the wedding that they we planning
