Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed by miHoYo, and published by miHoYo in mainland China and by HoYoverse worldwide. It was released for Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, and Windows in 2020, on PlayStation 5 in 2021, and is set for release on Nintendo Switch. The game features an anime-style open-world environment and an action-based battle system using elemental magic and character-switching. Genshin Impact takes place in the fantasy world of Teyvat, home to seven nations, each of which is tied to a different element and ruled by a different god. I didnt even know what resin was so i didnt use it at all for like a month because i found out that you can use it for Laylines etc. After that i spent my primos to fill it up again because i didnt know it replenished automatically

Didn’t use resin for like months, walked plenty of places. I also quit for a long time cause I was stuck on a side quest, said all my characters sucked as I just added any artifacts. 😂😂 such good times man
@@Sophie66262 i understood that you can send expeditions more than for a 4 hours when i ascended to ar 55+ because i firmly believed that drops from expeditions are tied to ar lvl. I watched some players on yt and they were collecting that shiny turquoise ores while i still collected blacks and greys. But they were of higher ar and that's why i thought that when i reach that ar 55+ i'll also be getting better rewards from expeditions. Only after i ascended i understood that nothing changed and finally saw arrows at the bottom with numbers of hours on it. To my excuse, i played on ps4 and i couldn't see far well, so i didn't noticed small ui moments at first glance.

Not to be mistaken with regular player that played casually, this is what real casual people playing genshin looks like. When starting, i dont know that i need to farm domain or boss 5x everyday to make my character usable. Like you have char level, weapon, talent, artifact, teamcomp, elemental reaction. This is my first gacha, i'd only play RPG like Witcher3 or Skyrim with more straightforward leveling system.
Played lots of CoD MW2 2009, Lost Planet 2. No leveling there, beat Dvalin as a huge struggle at level 1 everything. XD
Honestly I didn't start doing any of those things until around adventure rank 30 or 35 lol. I had no clue. Didn't even do daily commissions. Just played the archon and story and side quests and threw random artifacts and weapons on characters and rolled with it. Level them up and call it good haha. Didn't even know I could upgrade my skills until even later so they all were at level 1 still 🙃 didn't even know to pull banners until late game too. Thought I'd just keep getting characters like how I got amber and kaeya. On the plus side that lead to me having a ton of primos saved up and fractured resin from not doing domains and boss fights and stuff lmao

I was literally just in mondstat a couple days ago to fight electrohyptosis and saw the portal and was like "wth is that?" Haven't been in mondstat so long I totally forgot until I flew up into it and wound up at spiral abyss. Then had to teleport and run all the way back to the electrohyptosis again lol

Idk if he was made this "on purpose" or what, but i have a friend he is an actual gamer, he player a lot of games, but when he came to genshin he never really meant to play the game, he did it just because of FOMO, so that's my friends problem, he didn't really "play" the game and he was look exactly like this guy, every single fuckin' hour he always ask for help, he couldn't even follow the quest mark
I think it's the people who just skip cutscenes and also don't pay attention to what paimon says early on. I was kinda the same even though I didn't have near this many issues lol. I at least paid attention enough to get the just of how to play. But I noticed in some of the messages in the video from his chat he was replying that he didn't listen to anything paimon said to him lol
I got trapped and didn’t know how teleport when I first played Genshin and I also played the game for years before I realised you could hold the sprint button I feel for this man it’s hard having no game sense

But usually they have the most fun, especially when they figured it out themselves the dopamine hit is insane.

fortunately for him, the game itself doesn't even provide you the need for all those brutal grind especially to the point where u achieved mathematically impossible artifact pieces. Finishing the story is all he needs, and it has always been adjusted to be doable with the weakest of characters and a half ass build + absolute trash unskilled gameplay.

These are the kind of players that you have to hold hands or backseat at the beginning. Seen a couple. Once they're used to it, you'll let go their hands and they'll just fly on their own.

5:51 I’m gonna be so fr with y’all- I first started playing, I USED KAEYA TO GET TO THE SPIRAL ABYSS AND IT TOOK ME LIKE TWENTY MINUTES BEFORE REALIZING THERE WAS A PORTAL THE ENTIRE TIME
To be fair, back in 2020 when I started playing I opened my very first chest from the Seelie at the beginning. I collected a bow and spent SOOO long (10 min) trying to figure out how ti equip it on Aether. Felt stupid when Amber joined our team. Like "ah..., every character uses smth different, I see"
At first i didn't knew that you can zoom in and out the map
My map was at one point where i could only see the teleport way points but couldn't see the bosses etc
And when someone would come to my world and would lead me to a boss i would be so surprised that how people memories all the locations where bossess are lol
I might be laughing now but I used to be just like this when I was new 😭
This is what my younger siblings would be like if I didn’t occasionally helped him 😂. They somehow got to Inazuma with 1 & 2 STAR ARTIFACTS and now one of them is actually nearing the end of Sumeru. If I didn’t beat the delusion factory, which btw took 30 minutes because his character didn’t do more than like 150 dmg, they wouldn’t have progressed. I have to tell them multiple times to use the guide thing that helps them build character but they won’t and it hurts. unc will somehow get further than them and will actually listen when he gets told stuff 😂
Im just thankful my cousin introduced and helped me through this because I can see myself being in his place😭
Genshin was the first 3D game I seriously played (simulation sickness). I strugged a lot with fighting the camera and misjudging climb-able vs non-climbable angles on surfaces. I took 20+ mins to figure out how to properly climb to that one waypoint atop Knights of Favonius HQ. I failed gliding exam 5+ times. My biggest struggle was stealth minigames, such as the church basement from Mondstadt archon quest.
Back then, I was scared of Inazuma. My friends warned me it's harder and more dangerous, so I delayed going there for a month. I farmed and built characters in Liyue while doing most world quests. This turned out to be a good decision, as by the time I got to Inazuma I had a much easier time (though some mechanics were still tricky).
1.5 years later, I'm AR60, clear abyss and imaginarium theatre every cycle, 100% exploration all areas, and over 1100 achievements! I play daily and never miss an event. If even a motion sick dumbass like me can do it, anyone can.
Nothing like a gaming community and some guy who was NOT made for video games getting backseated by said community

Ultimately this is showing game design flaws in how Genshin does not have good tutorial systems for new players.
The fact that you could get that far without the game teaching you how to teleport around. etc
any tutorial is bad tutorial when letters are too complicated for you to understand

A good tutorial uses scenarios and visual indicators in the field of play.
Genshin already requires you to activate a statue at the beginning of the game. They just needed to add a well-constructed scene at the start of the game where you can't proceed without using the Teleport feature on the map.

I was like him during Moonstadt and Liyue.I remembered quitting the game for a week becos I entered a wrong dungeon for a story quest and keep thinking where did i go wrong . Eventually I learnt everything by just brute force .. muscle memory.. i still have trouble switching characters directly to do burst.. even though I am getting 9 star floor 12 every time since inazuma.

genshin is legit my first open world game, my previous games were just the ace attorney games (parents refused to give us console and my sister basically smuggled a DS into our household when she was on a student exchange program). i had to learn a lot when i started genshin. this person is activating my instincts to grab him and walk him through everything and i don't even have a single maternal bone in my body.
