You can tell how much Tyler loves that velvet suit 😂 When saf said “I’m not sure about velvet anymore” he looked up straight away and went “for you?” Bless his face filled with relief when she said yes
it would be crazy if tyler wore a black tux while you are wearing the white dress... and when you where the black dress he changes in to a white tux... confuse even some of the guests with the "swapped colors" thing
Wonpoodle plus the "first look" before cerimony. IMHO: a) no force in nature (or not-natural) could actually dent Saf+Ty relations, so... b) for any couple, not sure adding that "jinx" legends help. As Amari Productions said, a "first look" help to vent out some nerves, gave time for the couple alone for photo and just "adjust" before hordes of relatives and friends start to stampede around, and stress and music and crying and on.
One thing that I love about Saf is how positive, optimistic, and chill she is. If stuff doesn’t work out, she just carries on without a sweat and I find that so admirable

I like that it’s 100% reasonable to say that you could wear it again at another occasion if you choose to do so. Personally the idea of spending a ton of money on a dress that you can only wear once stresses me out, but the black dress could totally be worn again.

@@conn1e Per public records she makes about $1.6 million a year from her TH-cam channel. That is an estimation based on the view count and ads shown. She does spend a lot of money researching and buying her own materials for her channel so probably half of that alone is business expenses. After taxes in California though - it doesn't really come down to a lot. She's very good at what she does and produces/create quality content. I look forward to her new uploads. I'm proud of her for making it.

That's right. I was married, widowed later, remarried later, and never was a traditional bride. At my first wedding, I was married in a lacey burgundy dress with a satin cummerbund and burgundy hat. For my second wedding, my dress was a custom lavender satin. It was a medieval style dress, with satin ribbon criss crossed down the bodice and white ribbon rosettes. The veil was a matching shade of lavender tulle, attached to a headband with flowers. Both of them were beautiful.

I love your choices! My husband and I got married 16 years ago on Halloween. I wore a black vinyl ball gown for our rehearsal dinner/costume party. For our actual wedding I wore a white organza "princess bride " type gown with floor-length sleeves. We decorated with black magic roses and white pumpkins. People still talk about our wedding; even the older, more conservative members of our families still tell their friends what a beautiful day it was. I hope you and Tyler are as happy as my husband and I are after these years!
The dress suits you so much!! I think that some embroidery on the waist area with more light beeds contrasting with the black fabric would really give the dress a final special touch, and it would reassemble stars and constellations even more!
I was just thinking that I wanted to see some sparkle too! I love the stars but you can't have stars in a flat black scheme, especially not with a silhouette as dynamic as hers and in a dress meant for dancing!

"Matrimonied" on the other hand, standing on its own or in context - well, it's not hitting it out of ballpark, that's for sure. Vermont Maple I’m sure most people would love to get a custom, personalized wedding dress but can’t afford it. Wedding dresses are already expensive off the rack, can’t imagine how much more expensive it is to get it custom made by a designer.
@@vanessalizeth4266 My Aunt was a professional seamstress. We live in Vermont. Her dresses were anywhere for 400.00 to 2000.00 depending on material. Considering the market price. I don't think that is a huge amount of money. One thing she used to do, take old gowns and retrofit them for the bride. It was some of the most beautiful creations. I miss her so very much.

Vermont Maple Vermont is very different than LA, and a seamstress is different than a popular designer - which is what Safiya did. However, you do bring up a good point and I do think it would be a good option for some people to look for small, local designers or seamstresses. Still, a bit more expensive than off the rack.

Coming back to rewatch vids while waiting for new ones has been fun tbh, really love Saf’s content. This vid in particular really got me into sewing and customising my own clothing as a hobby during lockdown. The whole process of trial and error, fabrics, cut/style and final product is so rewarding!!! Also more excitement to wear them out and about 😁
When you came out for that final dress reveal I couldn’t wipe the huge smile off my face! You looked so radiant and happy! That dress is such a perfect extension of you...the designer is truly incredible at her work💕
It's crazy because when you only see the drawing you think like "alright this is nice" but you don't realize how incredible it will look irl. When Safiya came out of the fitting room my jaw dropped!
Elsa Frost that’s the true talent of a designer or artist of any kind...they bring your vision to life, even when you didn’t quite know what it was you were dreaming of. They take all of the little things you give them and all the little cues when they talk to you, bring them together and create magic like Saf’s perfect dress. I am so excited to see how her ceremony dress turned out too❤️
I know I'm late to the party by a lot but I adore the amount of support and exposure these wedding videos have given to so many wonderful creators and business owners. This entire process was so fun to watch!
The dress is really like an old timey widow grieving her recently deceased wealthy husband who died in mysterious circumstances. Like a modern mystery movie set in the Victorian era, and frankly I love it.
Safiya seemed like she definitely had more of a "say sure to the frock " moment in the black one. It looks gorgeous and the designer is so talented Edit: Spelling. This is definitely not to say she didnt love her white one, and we havent seen it finished yet but like i just enjoyed how happy she looked in it.
Actually tons of goth people are super positive! I feel like Saf is the perfect example of what goths are like 😂 we were just moodier and withdrawn in high school, haha

I love your choices! My husband and I got married 16 years ago on Halloween. I wore a black vinyl ball gown for our rehearsal dinner/costume party. For our actual wedding I wore a white organza "princess bride " type gown with floor-length sleeves. We decorated with black magic roses and white pumpkins. People still talk about our wedding; even the older, more conservative members of our families still tell their friends what a beautiful day it was.
I hope you and Tyler are as happy as my husband and I are after these years!

The dress suits you so much!! I think that some embroidery on the waist area with more light beeds contrasting with the black fabric would really give the dress a final special touch, and it would reassemble stars and constellations even more!
I was just thinking that I wanted to see some sparkle too! I love the stars but you can't have stars in a flat black scheme, especially not with a silhouette as dynamic as hers and in a dress meant for dancing!

To say, "they are: engaged, betrothed, affianced" makes perfect grammatical sense. To say, "they are married and/or wedded" again, makes perfect sense. "Matrimonied" on the other hand, standing on its own or in context - well, it's not hitting it out of ballpark, that's for sure. It's not making it past the mound ;) Now, "married, wedded, ESPOUSED" not only works, but it is the perfect counterpoint to "affianced".

Vermont Maple I’m sure most people would love to get a custom, personalized wedding dress but can’t afford it. Wedding dresses are already expensive off the rack, can’t imagine how much more expensive it is to get it custom made by a designer.

I don't think that is a huge amount of money. One thing she used to do, take old gowns and retrofit them for the bride. It was some of the most beautiful creations. I miss her so very much.
@@mememadore3174 Your aunt's pricer are much cheaper than custom dresses now/ other areas. Custom dresses would cost a good few thousand these days, especially in LA. You can barely find a rack-dress for less than $2000 these days
Vermont Maple Vermont is very different than LA, and a seamstress is different than a popular designer - which is what Safiya did. However, you do bring up a good point and I do think it would be a good option for some people to look for small, local designers or seamstresses. Still, a bit more expensive than off the rack.

Coming back to rewatch vids while waiting for new ones has been fun tbh, really love Saf’s content.
This vid in particular really got me into sewing and customising my own clothing as a hobby during lockdown. The whole process of trial and error, fabrics, cut/style and final product is so rewarding!!! Also more excitement to wear them out and about 😁

Elsa Frost that’s the true talent of a designer or artist of any kind...they bring your vision to life, even when you didn’t quite know what it was you were dreaming of. They take all of the little things you give them and all the little cues when they talk to you, bring them together and create magic like Saf’s perfect dress. I am so excited to see how her ceremony dress turned out too❤️
