    arm leading, rotation, breathing, gentle kicking.
    what else to add? a martini, stirred not shaken! 😀

    • @RocketSwimming
      @RocketSwimming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha ha! I like the way you think. As much as I'd love to recommend adding a martini to your swim routine, I don't think it would do much for your technique (unless you count perfecting your ability to drink while treading water). 😀😀

      @@RocketSwimming would you be able to show the part of the palm after the pull, just before it exits the water. You had mentioned and demoed it about not slapping water upward but backward, but not quite certain about that part.

    Excellent commentary once again. Thank you. Is there a risk of repititive strain injury if you take a breath on the same side each time?

    • @RocketSwimming
      @RocketSwimming  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It depends! If you are swimming daily and for hours every day then it's a good idea to breathe on both sides to prevent muscle imbalance. Injuries are caused due to wrong technique. Electrolyte imbalance can also cause muscle strains or cramps so make sure to keep your intake of water, potassium and sodium. Thank you for your positive feedback.

    So, I really tried to popping out my mouth out of the water to breathe, but I have a few problems:
    1.) Water always enter my mouth, and my automatic reaction in my head is that when I breathe in, I will start choking (panic reaction activates itself, and immediately I keep my head out of the water)
    2.) Whenever I breathe out into the water and turn my head to stick my mouth out of the water, I always have to spit out the reaming air from my lungs, and then I can breathe in the fresh air.
    These are two issues I try to overcome.

      Try rolling all the way to your back for a breath for awhile. I call it the pineapple. It’s like a beginner’s technique - great place to start. Let me know if you want private coaching from me directly!

    My problem when i breath is my arn dropping and drifting missing the catch. Im thinking maybe i breath too long 🤣 or i am.not doing proper extension

    • @RocketSwimming
      @RocketSwimming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your breath should start as soon as your pull starts. By the time your hand is out of the water you should blow out all the air and inhale as soon as you turn your head to side. Your hand should simple drift forward. Don't raise your hand too high.
