- It's time talk about our most wanted PS5 games. With all the incredible reveals from the recent State of Play and Summer Game Fest, this episode of the PlayStation Access Podcast features the gang sharing all the titles they simply cannot wait to get their hands on.
There are many amazing new PS5 games on the way - we struggled to keep this list to just 10! Each member of the team discusses two titles they are excited for, with a couple thrown in that they all wanted to chat about.

Having grown up in the 80's (born in '74) in the States let me just say ... ... ... It was AWESOME!! We got to experience so many firsts in personal tech. Home video games, home computer, cable TV , MTv, cell phones, video recorders, WalkMan, just to name a few. The 80's was the Best decade hands down.
Just what I needed to keep my sanity as I’ve been up with a fussy newborn all night. It’s 6:00 am my time at posting and MUCH needed! Thank you all for this channel and your work that goes into it ❤️

MGSD ❤ MGS3 is one of my favourite games, and I nearly didn’t finish it. I only played about half of it at most and for reasons I can’t remember I stopped and never went back to it, until a few days before the release of PS3. I had 2 weeks off work, a week before PS3’s release and a week after. I had a PS3 pre ordered and I was talking to my cousin about how hyped we both were for PS3. We were talking about our favourite games on PS2 when my cousin mentioned MGS3. I told him I didn’t even finish it and he told me I should play and finish it in the week I had off work before PS3 time. I did play it, I restarted and finished it and loved it. Couldn’t work out why I didn’t finish it 1st time 🤷♂️
I've been waiting for Wu Kong for like four years now and it's less than ten weeks away now.
Now I wonder - did they have Rosie gush about Metal Gear instead of Rob so Dave wouldn't have to look for the tally board? 😂
I just discovered your Redshirt Cinema Club podcast on Spotify and I'M LOVING IT! It's great to hear Nath and the guys banter again. I'm currently watching the Star Trek movies, having somehow gone 27 years without seeing any of them just like Rob. Hopefully, you’ll turn me into another Star Trek fan! #podsquad

The most recent additions to my watch list are Flintlock as a curiosity and Life is Strange: Double Exposure as a day 1 purchase.
I agree with you on Outlaws Dave, being a scrappy, yet ultimately mundane maverick in that time period of the SW universe is appealing indeed. You need to watch Andor, my favourite Star Wars writing ever realised, it's so grey, so poignant, absolutely awesome!
I have absolutely seen Andor. It’s probably my favourite Star Wars since Rogue One.

Well, I can now add Lego Horizon Adventures to my list upcoming games. But I'm looking forward to Phantom Blade Zero, Project the Preceiver and Where Winds Meet. Of course I can't wait for next months latest Legend of Heroes release.

I have a good feeling on The Plucky Squire because it looks awesome and colorful but I personally want Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Closest Star Wars game I can think of to outlaws is probably Shadows of the Empire where you play as Dash Rendar. Not an open world but he’s just a smuggler with a blaster and his own Corellian YT-2400 ship (looks similar to the falcon too) great game!
A childhood favourite of mine! That train level was sooo hard! 😂😂

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero for me, October can't come soon enough. I've been playing Dragon Ball games since Budokai 1 on GameCube and Budokai Tenkiachi was my favorite gameplay wise, I'm just so happy this is actually happening
Rob just gave me another game to look forward to. I haven't played any of the Horizon games (Zero Dawn is in my pile of yet unplayed PS4 games though) but I have played and loved a lot of the Lego games.

17:55 for me it would have been an open world mandalorian game. I‘ve said it ever since i saw the show. Never really cared for a star wars game, quit fallen order about half way through and am not that big into most open world games, but an open world mandalorian game would be sick. Upgrading the armor into beskar peace by peace, getting new equipment, buying and upgrading ships, man …

I'm a long time Dragon Age fan and personally I am punped for The Veilguard! The community at large has been pretty mixed however. Every game is SO different which has created a few schisms
Looking forward to Metaphor: ReFantazio. I'm interested to see what Atlus came up with for a new IP outside Persona and SMT.
It would be Bloodborne 2 but it's probably never going to happen.

As I don't have a PS5 yet (want to catch up on Vita and PS4 Games before I get a new console) I don't really keep up with upcoming games unless they are part of a series I am already into. So yeah, MGS Delta is the one I am most excited about. I have planned to get a PS5 the moment MGS is released - but now I'm considering pre-ordering MGS before I even bother about a PS5. Maybe the deluxe edition - or the collectors edition if one will even be available in Europe. Until it's released there still is more than enough time to get a PS5 anyways.
The other game I am looking forward to is Dragon Age - however I had merely a day to feel excited about that before I saw more news about MGS, then Dragon Age was quickly shoved aside again because I had something more important to be excited about. 😅

There is only one new game I'm excited for it's release and that is Monster Hunter Wilds! I fell in love with the series when I played Monster Hunter World and since then I have been always looking forward to their new releases ❤

I personally really can't wait for Silent Hill 2 Remake, Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, Assassins Creed Shadows, Harry Potter Quiddich, Sonic X Shadows Generations and finally Lego Horizon, what a year this had been just like last year! Just incredible

Legend of heroes trails through daybreak then metaphor refantazio then sonic x shadow generations. Apart from dragon Ball sparking zero there's nothing this year I'm interested in, guess that'll help my backlog a bit

Rob, remember how you could buy a PS1 disc and there would be a few demos on it as well? How about a Compilation Disc of PS1 & eventually PS2 remasters?

We have the Compression, We have the Library, We can rebuild them. Stronger graphics, Faster Load Screens, Shadowman, Dart and Lara; no longer cubed out polygons. Colony Wars, Myst and Legend of Dragoon ON ONE DISC!

Maybe I'm just old but I think gaming has reached its pinnacle (other than Outlaws) and is starting to decline in imagination. We'll start to see remakes of everything just like Hollywood is doing. I think 2025 will be better: Crimson Desert, Wolverine, Death Stranding 2, Dune.
I think this might be the most amazing RPG year in history if all goes down this year

Honestly, can we get a *PS5 Remaster Collection of the Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy* please? Like, with substantial graphical improvements (looking at you Lightning Returns textures...) and QoL changes? Final Fantasy XIII-2 in particular is actually kinda great.
If we are going to be wasting time klon even more remakes / masters then let's please at least focus on the good ones like X.

My most anticipated game of the year is hands down metaphor re fantazio, i can't believe you guys never cover it, wtf i know Microsoft is covering any sega and atlus game like they have an exclusive deal that only them to show these games, but still u guys don't need to be like playstation, u have freedom and the game is coming on PS5 and it honestly the only game i an excited for idc about anything else.
