There is a trap in thinking like this, when someone consistently makes these low-effort gestures, even during larger ocassions like Christmas or birthdays. For example buing an extremely cheap magnet pic (one you put on a fridge) as a Christmas present, for example. Could mean one is being exploited for some relationship values like stability or help with education for exchange for "relationship". Which goes to hell as soon as REAL value is expected from them. Don't ask me how I know.
She took the time to pick a bouquet of weeds and flowers. To show how much she loves Anon. She doesn't just pick up a random assortment of non descript flowers for dollar. She actually took her time. This one IS. A. KEEPER!
Fake: anon is (not) a lesbian woman. There are no women on 4chan. Gay: well... lesbian to be precise. Also, dandelions and other weeds I don't know their names English is my second language can make a cool bouquet. I remember going on walks with my grandma around her village and picking flowers as we walked and making bouquets or arranging them in flower wreaths. The girls in my fried group very much liked that and were happy to join her.
Who's gonna tell him the only thing that makes it a weed is if it's wanted or not. All flowers can be beautiful, anything can be wanted. The only important thing is she saw something and thought of you fondly. There are no problems.
Took this guy the whole story to see what is super obviously a very desirable personality trait in his girlfriend. It's not about the weeds it's about the gesture. Anyone romantically involved who will go out of their way to think of you and be with you and do things for you especially 6 months in, is an extremely valuable person.
People consider many species of thistle as weeds. But I think they make some of the most beautiful flowers when they bloom. I have some blue globe thistle in our front garden. All the local bees love them!
SOME thistles do have lovely blooms, but many are just gnarly, nasty, spiky weeds. Thistles figure prominently in heraldry, particularly in Scotland. Something about being prickly and hard to eradicate. 😂😂😂
So he basically treats her like one would a child. "Oh, you drew me a picture? How nice, you're so talented!" "Oh, you can make a roll? Watch out, we might be raising a gymnast here!"
Honestly you can tell its fake since he said, “I wont let her know theyre just weeds” meanwhile she supposedly mentioned dandelions and weed salad meaning she would know theyre weeds, she just wouldnt care. If she existed. Edit: wasnt expecting people to start defining weeds. Leif would be proud.
Dandelions make a good tea actually, and clover's are good for scent as well as numbing pain. Weeds implies they have no use, but in reality most "weeds" do have a use, but most people don't use them and find them annoying.. Or the way they grow is annoying. It's like rotting verses fermentation, one is useful, the other is not.
@spartan9458 i think what makes something considered a weed is the fact that it can disrupt other crops or flowers. The plants we typically refer to as weeds are well know for their ability to thrive fucking anywhere, and that same feature means they tend to take root in garden beds and crop plantations, competing with them for nutrients and room to grow and absorb sunlight. So they're not called weeds because they're useless, common or ugly/low value, they're weeds because they're incredibly prolific and stubborn species that historically and commonly show up where you don't want them, cause problems, and are extremely annoying to permanently remove.
by the way, Dandelion Tea is quite healthy, and clove oil is good for numbing pain, as well as smells nice. I found this out from my wife, but also you can buy dandelion tea at most supermarkets. Anon found a keeper. She shine brightly in her deeds, but not at a glance. Those are the best ones arguably.
That's honestly really kind of them, don't be mean to them OP, also one thing, she's right about them being high in nutrition but don't eat any off sidewalks or yards you don't know about, could have pesticide or herbicide or other lawn chemicals on them, if your going to eat any, forage in nature or from an area you know isn't being sprayed
In a field of yellow flowers underneath the sun Bluest eyes that spark with lightning, biy with shoes undone He is young, so full of hope reveling in tiny dreams Filling up his arms with flowers right for giving any queen -Five Iron Frenzy, Dandelions
All I'm hoping is that she's biologically more mature than she acts... But it's cute nonetheless. I'd been gifting girls bouquets of lilies for a looong time before a female colleague of mine pointed out that they symbolize death, which would explain some initial subtle kneejerk reactions. So these kinds of mishaps do happen.
Why does OP care about receiving flowers anyway? And how comes NONE of the OPs can actually have a conversation that consists of more than 1 sentence? Is the concept of exchanging views, opinions and ideas so beyond comprehension?
Your life has a finite end to it. It's actually pretty cool to love every second as much as you can. And it's called a friggin greentext, they're known for brevity, humor, and skipping the bs that's not important
I think it’s a valid question when most of the story is internal monologue and introspection. Another sign that it’s a writing exercise, not a recount of actual events.
thr literal definition of 'it's the thought that counts'
I thought like this too... when I was four. Of course, I do love dandelions though.

She walked in on him writing this half way through I can feel it.
fake: anon has a girlfriend
gay: anon enjoys receiving bouquets of flowers
This doesn't sound like something that a dude would even ponder about.
Fake: anon is (not) a lesbian woman. There are no women on 4chan.

I would if I saw her intention.
I got given flowers for birthday and it was nice
I would
They are both women, and this story was written by the neighbor who saw the other girl with the bouquet.
Who's gonna tell him the only thing that makes it a weed is if it's wanted or not.
All flowers can be beautiful, anything can be wanted. The only important thing is she saw something and thought of you fondly. There are no problems.
Flowers are worth only as much as the value we give them, like cryptocoins.
For reference: Tulip Mania Economic Bubble (Dutch)
Honestly I would appreciate those more than just regular store bought flowers
It’s definitely strange but it’s very sweet too. Good on both of them
What a weird thing to have an internal meltdown over, just take the flowers.
Who tf is this man and why does he care about the type of flowers he is receiving? like why go on this monologue about the type of flower?
That's the gay part of this fake and gay story 😊

Maybe he's also a kind of "weed" that she picked at the side of the road. 🌱

If you've ever tried pulling out a bunch of weeds in a single session, you'd appreciate the hard work to gather something like that.
anon is too critical, it was a very kind gesture, very cute

There's a world of difference in this context between "they're weeds" and "they're just weeds".

Clover and dandy lion are flowers....... The best flowers

Bro took his weeding vows seriously
I wouldn't be able to say "no", either. She sounds pure
She's a keeper.

bro sounded offended and uninterested but then turns it around in the last 3 lines? wtf
Clover us NOT a weed. Dandelions are, but the flowers are pretty.

She gave those weeds value...what a keeper
Whats wrong with dandelions and clover? 😂

It's kinda funny that this one's gay and real, femanon took a while to get her priorities straight tho
Love is not about understanding. Its about accepting, even though you don't understand.
