Nice they look better ,they must be hard to find. I don't have the original headlights on my 37' P/U mine where on the truck already I just when to the local NAPA and bought the new headlamps bulbs . I notice the one you have are much longer and you'll have to be careful when you open the hood side over them to avoid scratches.
The reflectors have a cork gasket that sits that groove that the headlight lens sits in. the headlight reflector and lens push in against the springs tilted at an angle ( bottom in) to get them in and then once in push against the headlight shell opening which is slightly smaller diameter than the headlight lens itself. Then there is a screw at the bottom of the headlight shell that is turned in to push against the bottom of the reflector to hold it so it can't tilt back at the bottom and pop out. That is important since if you hit a bad bump in a road it can pop out. I had that happen on my 35 Dodge pickup so I know. The reflectors are silver plated . if yours are bad you can get a silver plating kit from Caswell online and re plate them yourself. Silver reflects better than chrome . You can usually still find those parts at Swap meets, even the bulbs but they are getting harder to find. Make sure all your grounds are clean and good when you put everything together.
Nice work
I flinched so bad when that lens popped out of the housing. I thought it was going to slip out and flop right off the table!
