BACKGROUND: I was invited to speak at GOD IS LOVE fellowship on 25th of April 2019, one of the only fellowship for the LGBT community in Dimapur, Nagaland it seems. I was never aware of this fellowship before. They invited me through an NGO called Abundant Life Foundation. At first I was reluctant because of our society but after fasting and prayer, I accepted their invitation. I got the conviction to go and share the Gospel & the truth. It was very tough for me initially to prepare my sermon, but God led me through and everything went smoothly. Later I found out that I was the first straight person to accept their invitation to come and preach. We had a blessed time and I thank God that I could share the Gospel to their community. Everyone is not called to work inside the four walls of the church building.
No doubt the bible clearly says that Homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. However, we as Christians shouldn't discriminate them either. I think your approach is something commendable, however I hope you will visit them again and gradually teach them about the truth because God is an able God, nothing is impossible. He can change and transform them as well. It's my prayer that God will speak to their hearts and transform them. God bless 🙏
It's good to see you lifting the spirit of the community high. Above all, it's good to see them worshipping Christ despite their lack of recognition in the society. However, for the sake of not to hurt their feelings the truth of the gospel must not be compromised.
The truth is that the Bible does not condemn LGBTQ- identifying persons. God loves them for who they are. Many Christians condemn them because the Bible says so without understanding the context of the Bible.

Only God can and should condem ones sin but its ones duty to tell the truth and bring them to light at the same time love them and show our christian value through our action. Dont want to hurt their community but same sex marriage is against creation, changing ones sex is against creation, compromising the Bible teaching is against JESUS teaching. Lets not forget that everyone of us has our own cross to carry with. This world is full of evil spirit where even Jesus was tempted but only through the power of Christ we can carry out cross and reach our eternal home.

The most commonly quoted Bible verses are Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13, which state that it is an abomination for a man to lie with another man as he would with a woman. In Romans 1:26-27, Apostle Paul says that homosexuality is contrary to God's natural order and results from rejecting God. Additionally, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 lists homosexuality as one of the sins that will prevent someone from entering the Kingdom of God. While the Bible is clear in its view of homosexuality, it is essential to remember that God loves all of his creation and offers forgiveness to those who repent and turn away from their sins.

Luke 24:45 & following speaks of Jesus unveiling himself in the Old testament and how it was all about him(the types & shadow); Matthew5:17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill." Yes we should love them but not for "who they are" but rather because of what they are going through and because we see them as brothers created in the image of God. I would state however that as Matthew 7:15-20, John 7:24, Romans 16:17-18, Isaiah 29:13 clearly tells us to judge correctly and righteously. This ongoing trend of "Stop Judging" is unhealthy for the Church, because how are we suppose to have any level of discernment without judging? I would only encourage that you preach repentance first and the Good news after; because the emerging Church tried to switch the gradation and has produced a generation of feel-good Christians who think with their emotions, and knows nothing about the Holiness of God or the Wrath that is to come on the unbelief. Let us preach the Law which is the mirror that reflects our sins and how our good works cannot save us, which reflects our need for the Son of God, who is our Saviour and only redeemer. It was John Wycliff who said "The highest service to which a man may attain on earth is to preach the Law of God", and the great reformer Martin Luther who said, "The first duty of the gospel preacher is to declare God's Law and to show the nature of sin, because it will act as a schoolmaster and bring him to everlasting life which is in Christ Jesus." It has resonated "true" throughout the ages and if we believe in the infallibity and inerrany of the Bible we believe it is of most significane today. As Charles H Spurgeon used to say - Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong. It is knowing the differrence between right and almost right.
