There was a Freedom in a slip nearby me once and it looked like a really nice boat. I even considered one before I bought the Nonsuch but could not find any for sale in the area. With two, freestanding masts and sails, I would imagine it's a tad more complicated to sail than the Nonsuch with only one. On the other hand, the sails would likely be smaller and easier to manage. I too have heard they are fast boats but have no personal experience. Good luck on making your choice.
I'm not sure, it was on the boat when I bought it. I believe it was someone in BC Canada though. A lot of thought went into the design of both the enclosure and the sail cover.

+Nenad Bracun I have not heard of any major problems with the cored hull on a Nonsuch. Yes, cored hulls can be a concern if the builder did not do things right. Hinterhoeller did an excellent job with their Nonsuch boats so it's not a problem at all to my knowledge. On the positive side, a cored hull is much quieter inside the boat plus the coring acts as insulation keeping the interior cooler in hot climates and warmer in cold. Given a good builder, I'd prefer a cored hull anytime. Hope that helps. There is a Nonsuch user's group that is very active. You could join, even without a boat, and get lots of great information on all things Nonsuch. I did that and actually found my boat through the members there.
+Nenad Bracun Absolutely nothing wrong with the Nonsuch. No problems and it was a very comfortable boat to live on. I only sold it and moved to a trawler because of my age and a nagging back problem. I was finding it difficult to handle sails and ended up motoring more than sailing. So, I figured, why not just go power? I truly miss sailing and especially the Nonsuch. Thanks for you inquiry.

This enclosure is really great. Who designed it?
