This is amazing!!! I'm 64 and I've been trying for 10 years to get my degree and could not because I couldn't pass math. I'm less than a year from achieving my AA and BA, the protocols have changed and I can now use a calculator! Your teaching will allow me to add to the legacy I leave for my grandchild and great grand's, I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!
You have really helped me by explaining how to use the TI-30XS Calculator. Thank you so very much! This will save me so much time and help to pass the GED Math test!
Amazing video ❤ I took my GED test several times no luck I got tired of taking it cause maths was a problem until I had no option but to pay an online vendor for help
Thank you so much for your response. I'm having a hard time it's been 35+ years, and that part of the GED is hard.. That would be awesome if you made a video of how to do inequalities. You take your time when your explaining. I need that.
Thank you so much! I’ve been fighting with trying to get my GED for years, yes this calculator is amazing, it also goes for you you’re teaching thank you so much. So now I have to go to Pety Quaddick equations, and then the one that does the greater equalities I think I need help how do use the calculator for that thank you.
I scored a 144 on my GED math test a couple weeks ago😑 I'm gonna retest next Saturday, I have this calculator and I'm pretty familiar with it, it's the same one we use in class. My issue is the graphs , like finding the Y intercept, or say X |Y 1|3 2|5 3|7 So the X =+1 Y=+2 So you have the fraction 2 - 1 2÷1 = 1 So we have a slope of +1 I dropped out in the 8th grade, I never took algebra, now I understand what FOIL is, I understand the Pythagorean theorem (which I've been using in framing forever (3,4,5 ) (6,8,10) (12,16,20) etc... but now I understand how that stuff works.. A²+B²=C² I'm really loving learning all this stuff, I'm about to turn 50 in a few months, I WILL get this GED...!!.. I won't stop until I do.. My teacher sent me this link, thanks for breaking this stuff down for all of us.
Can you show me how to do the greater than and less than buttons.. inequalities?? From my understanding, there are quite a few of those on the GED MATH testing.. thank you for this, your the best one I found yet..
So inequalities can't be used on the GED calculator. I need to create a video about them. For non-word problems they act just like equations but if you divide or multiply by a negative number while using inverse operations you have to switch the sign.
@@latonyasmith3895 Hey Love, thank you for asking well short answer is I failed it. It was my redo because I failed the first one and failed the pretest 12 times...I know 😕🥺😑😶 the redo was weird because, I did it online from home since the testing centers in my area are still closed. The person that watches you online kept cutting through and interrupting me, like totally distracting me. Saying he'll kick me off for mumbling, talking to myself outloud ??? I explained to him that I'm reading the questions, but he kept kicking in saying he'll report me and kick me off. Soon as I was done, I reported him and made a case about it. Please don't let a bad experience keep you away ! 🙏❤
I believe there's like 46 questions on the GED math portion my question is initially the first portion of the GED test or the first five questions you're not allowed to use a calculator so for the remainder 41 questions will this calculator really be significantly useful? Or is it just a tool that you have that you don't really need for the 41 question portion of the test I don't know if this is a stupid question. Is the six questions you are not allowed to use the calculator functions or the coordinate plane? If anybody can send some insight would be greatly appreciated
I do think knowing and using the calculator can save you time and help get more questions correct. The TI-30xs is a unique calculator with many unusual buttons so I do think it is worth it. Especially so for students who don't know their times tables or who are not good with basic mental math-which is most of my students btw. It's still possible to pass you just have to be good with the calculator. It's worth the $10-15 to practice with it!
On the real GED you can pull up the exact calculator as in the video. It's the TI-30xs. You can also get the online emulator yourself but its more expensive than just buying the real calculator.
Those are absolute value questions. I made a video and link to some good Khan exercises on that here: www.passtheged.org/math/basic-math#h.khlt6gxgcc0w You can't use the calculator to put in absolute value but once you understand how to handle them you'll see you don't need it anyway. Good luck!

This is real encouraging to me thank you and Congratulations 🎉
Congratulations
Great video, thank you for the help, about to take my ged math test in a few days. Im praying that I’ll pass 🙏
I just took my math an hour ago and I am proud to say that I have finally passed my Ged!! 🎉
I passed my last test today: MATH 😅 thank you for your videos they were very helpful. Now I’m a ged graduate ❤
any tips or advice? what's it like? are we allowed to bring in scrap paper and pencils?
Your videos helped me a lot to score 162 in Math test this afternoon at my first try.
I want to say thank you so much.

Hello please share more info on this maybe a name or something
Deels cafe is the name
This is the best video on the GED calculator i have found on the internet, thank alot man, love from Pakistan :)

Thank you!! I take my test tomorrow and you answered the questions that I had :)
hello, did you pass and how was it?
Thank you so much! I’ve been fighting with trying to get my GED for years, yes this calculator is amazing, it also goes for you you’re teaching thank you so much. So now I have to go to Pety Quaddick equations, and then the one that does the greater equalities I think I need help how do use the calculator for that thank you.

My issue is the graphs , like finding the Y intercept, or say
X |Y
1|3
2|5
3|7
So the X =+1
Y=+2
So you have the fraction
2
-
1
2÷1 = 1
So we have a slope of +1
I dropped out in the 8th grade, I never took algebra, now I understand what

Thanks about to take my math ged
Woww thank you for your help
which key can I hit for the = sign?
You press enter.
I cant find you on instagram
is the calculator available on the computer screen too??
Calculator Is available on screen but it's not a scientific like this one.. if your state allows it ask for a handheld Calculator
On the real GED you can pull up the exact calculator as in the video. It's the TI-30xs. You can also get the online emulator yourself but its more expensive than just buying the real calculator.
How do I do Integers on this calculator? I know how to use the Negative button, but I need those straight lines that are like parentheses.
