Successful test Tony! I like it! Just games with thoughts is always nice. And if you plan to upload more and more blitz, then varying the openings is a nice touch. But for now just the occasional game to catch a break between the hour long rants is nice ;)
Funnily, Ne4 is still the move after a3 without Nc3 included, and it gets pretty funky: b4 Be7 Bb2 Bf6 Bxf6 Qxf6 Qxd4! Be6! Qxe4 Qxa1 with "dynamic equality"
Really weird, I can't comment on your opening video so I'll post it here. this is for the black response to 1. d4. long term, i was thinking to play the nimzo indian (or similar-ish). i picked the QGD a long time ago because it was easier to learn and it pairs well with the nimzo (eg: 3. Nf3). right now i play 1. d4 d5 move order. i was planning to switch to the 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. Nc3 d5 move order now, so that i can get experience with a lot of the Nf6 side lines without overwhelming me with the nimzo yet. as i was looking into it, i came across a post on reddit about someone who uses 1. d4 e6 move order. the point being he can play 1. d4 e6 2. c4 Bb4+ 3. Nc3 c5, which transposes into the nimzo but avoids the Qc2 line as well as the trompowsky. of course, the opponent could play the bogo indian or french defense. so i'm thinking about using the e6-d5 move order instead of Nf6-e6-d5, with the intent to play e6-Bb4+ later. what are your thoughts on the 1. d4 e6 2. c4 Bb4+ opening? is it worth serious consideration, or is this just a one-trick pony that's only good if i specifically know my opponent plays the Qc2 nimzo?
It's a little hard for me to comment on this, because I have absolutely zero experience with 1.d4 e6 2.c4 Bb4+ - from a repertoire perspective if you're looking to combo some sort of Nimzo-like position with the QGD, I see the appeal of 1.d4 e6 for sure (if you already play the French that is), as you avoid the Tromp that way, but then I'd like recommend you just play 2.c4 Nf6 regardless, intending 3.Nc3 Bb4 or 3.Nf3 d5. If you start with 2...Bb4+ you're going to basically be signing up for play the Nimzo and Bogo or something like them, which would be tossing out the necessity for the QGD and would be way more work to pick up than just learning the Nimzo to begin with. And I think if you're a Nimzo player, 4.Qc2 is important but basically not a huge deal these days. I have studied the Ganguly repertoire a bit and his Classical Nimzo stuff honestly looked super fun! BTW, I don't think 1.d4 e6 2.c4 Bb4+ is necessarily bad if that's what you're after, just possibly more work than just picking up the Nimzo, etc.

Yeah I am working on some new lines, but also just need to vary it a bit to keep people interested. Agreed!

I'll have to look into it, thanks!
Opponent straight hung his knight at 12:17 lol, maybe he thought you'd premove stacking rooks or something. Great game !
Haaaaa and I missed it! My position was so good even I couldn't bungle it.
For the analysis I would love to see the engine lines when you turn it on, and the opening database when you mention it.
Yeah I need to clean up my layout a bit so I can squeeze those in!
Just recently received your book. Lo ve the explanations!
Hey thanks Pablo, MUCH appreciated. Hope you like it more as you dig in deeper!

i like the stupid decisions
Why not taking the Knight on B2 instead of Rd8?
I missed it, but honestly the a-pawn is so overwhelming with the knight out of play on b2 that Rd8 might be stronger.
I think the layout was good
Thanks Austin!
Dang it, I totally missed 12.Bxb7.
Also, sliver of black on top of the analysis board? Unsubscribed!
I unsubbed too. I can't deal.
