Great seed and nice equipment! It’s a bit early for green machine in my opinion. The rye is to be planted in September for the best palatability for deer in the fall. It’s a great mix the deer love the winter peas in especially but that mix needs to go in at least a month from now in most of the Midwest.
We’re here in the Northeast. Packaging says July and this is the product that Domain said to go ahead and get in the ground. We will see what happens! Thanks for the feedback though!
@@forgehilloutdoorsyes sir. I am sure it will come up great, if the deer don’t like the rye after a few weeks, you could just broadcast more of it. It’s reasonable in price. Good luck friend! I’m hoping you shoot good deer!
U are gettin to play with 10 acres more than what i own and i have been planting a back 1/2 acre of pasture in the timber on mine the past 3 yrs now. Second yr it attracted a 165” giant along with several other nice bucks and last yr i had 4 that if either one stepped out i was takin the shot lol. Had my first drop time ive ever had on camera in my lill spot. I think it is funner planting the small acreage plots like u have and what i have rather than big farm. It is ADDICTING AS HELL. Best of luck this yr my friend. Final note yesterday afternoon i bought the exact same jug of domain seed and am also going to try it out. Mixing it in With a late batch of soy beans.
I honestly thought omish had no time for deer or atleast planning and preparing for deer hunting, all the omish near us say they hunt but don’t go out of there way for a deer. If they are plowing or working and see one they shoot it?
Planted this last year and the deer tore it up!!!! Came up fast !

Buy the big sexy and plant early August month or 5 weeks later put rye or winter wheat over that! Definitely to early! Good video either way!
Can we get an update video on the food plot? Pretty curious as to how it looks after 3 weeks 👍
It’s on the way!
