Yeah! While it's nice to have all the flash gear... sometimes it's better to just get out there and have a go! Save some money and you'll still have a good time! Cheers, Cahn
Yeah really goes to show you can give it a go with what you have. The main things are ensuring it's reliable and well maintained! You don't want something like a radiator to let go in the middle of nowhere! Cheers, Cahn
Yew! Mitch reckons they're very underrated after all the work / travel he's been doing... we actually have about half a dozen 120 Prados between the Product Team and us in the content team... 1KZ, 1KD, 1GR - we've got them all! haha Cheers, Cahn
Check your rear shock is installed with extra welded plate at the bottom of shocks facing the front- the extra plate was meant to reduce stone damage on shock body it self - your rear left looks like it’s installed the wrong way around… good luck with the trip
Hey mate, LTO batteries are still pretty expensive and heavy for their output... at this point I'd still recommend LiFePO4... but in the next 5 years Sodium Ion or LTO might become a better option - or maybe even solid state! Cheers, Cahn
Mitch talked about it in the first or second ep - basically needed more work, more space and wasn't the most comfortable or safe for a big trip... He still has it as a weekender though! Cheers, Cahn
This is a Prado! It's like a LandCruiser - it has 'J' in the chassis code like a LandCruiser... but it's the light duty version... People say the HiLux is unbreakable and this shares essentially the same running gear... so it should be fine! Cheers, Cahn

Goes to show you don't need big budget to get out touring and camping. Looking forward to your trip episodes.

Was thinking of getting a new vehicle but this inspires me to rethink.

Cheers,
Cahn

Cost 50k in fuel these days, the joint is rooted
What do you mean the joint is rooted?
What brand of lithium titanate oxide 12v battery would you recommend for durability?

How come you decided not to take the SWB Pajero?
Mitch talked about it in the first or second ep - basically needed more work, more space and wasn't the most comfortable or safe for a big trip... He still has it as a weekender though!

Need to get some Fuel Doctor
Hey Peter,
That's a good call I'll let Mitch know! I ran it in my old BJ74 LandCruiser and it seemed to make a big difference!
Cheers,
Cahn
Good luck with your pretend Landcruiser.
