- Let's talk about the quirk, personality and career of America’s number 1 pro hero - Captain Celebrity! Otherwise known by his real name (Christopher Skyline) or more casually say just “CC”, he came to Japan in the Vigilantes manga and made a lasting impression on the series.

I dont think that he uses some form of super-strenght. He is most likely using his barrier to protect him. For example when he hit the "Godzzila" he used the barrier as a shield around himself and the super flight to turn himself into a bullet.
Then with the sky egg, He most likely used the super flight to push againts the falling building and the barrier to protecting his body from being crushed.

I really want a story arc where Deku and the others visit America. Imagine Horikoshi making his version of popular Marvel and DC Heroes, Vigilantes and Villains. That would be awesome.
My thinking is that, if this war arc doesn't end well, Deku might be sent to America/Britain both to escape from LoV, but also to live with his dad who is in America for work (god i hope this becomes true.)

This is why I like Stain so much. His commitment and his philosophy is so true. Even in current society we can see that. We become fakes and we countinue to lie to ourselves and others. We say things, but with no real intentions. Say say we will be "______" but we never truly do what we say we will. But stain has the heart ad dedication to do what he truly believes in

@@_Sage967_ Yas, I truly agree with you to. Individual morals are also applied. I understand that. I like Stain because he's received the respect from me. He's willing to commit to his own true desires rather than being a fake. He realizes no one's willing to have the same desires/commitment/dedication as he does besides a few heroes. People say so many lies that they don't even recognize it. irl terms, people say "I'mma go to the gym" but they never commit, and dedicate in going to the gym. Stains the type of person who would commit to his words and does what he believes is right rather than to make excuses.
Stain is wrong though, because time and time again MHA proved motivations are irrelevant when all heroes taken their job seriously and are willing to sacrifice their own life to save people.

Its possible that his quirk is actually the force field. Due to his skill controlling his quirk he can use force field to fly. This can also explain why he can lift such heavy objects as he can use the force fields strength to hold the objects he's carrying.
So its like Violets powers from the Incredibles
It’s not a possibility, that’s what his quirk is doing
ZENT Basically, only invisible and a covers wider area. Although it covers a very wide area, it is limited. The more he spreads it out to cover building, people and ships that force field gets thinner and thinner and that’s why he can take damage, but it’s so much that something like carrying a cruise ship isn’t enough to make make him vulnerable.

I'm pretty sure his power isn't "Flight" but telekinetic force field (He just doesn't realize it) which would fit all of his powers. Super strength (Telekinesis), Invulernability (Forcefield), Flight (Telekinesis)

Tbh as a fellow American before I learned of Vigilantes I expected #1 American to be some kind of technology weapon hero. Like akin to War Machine but with a quirk that would benefit his weapons technology or just guns in general. Wouldn't surprise me really. Someone like Captain Celebrity would have been a close 2nd. Which really says a lot about us since the first thing I think of when thinking what American heroes would be like is Guns and Arrogance.

I think his barrier extending to the cruise ship is how he was able to carry it, like tactile telekinesis, while his barrier makes his punches harder
But when he extended it to just 3 people his barrier was super thin and he got damaged badly. How can he cover a whole ship if just 3 people is taxing on the barrier?
The barrier is hard to break, so I think the barrier is supporting the weight, not Captain.
@@darencolby1916 maybe because of the explosion? Ive never seen the manga but maybe he used his barrier that time to shield the three girls from damage while he's only using his barrier to reduce weight on the ship so there was no damage inflicted on the barrier, I assume.
Or he just uses the barrier to protect himself while flying up from under the ship.

Think it deserves an anime spin off! Of course I’d love a movie too, but the only reason I think they wouldn’t do it (for now) is because a large portion of the MHA fan base aren’t *too* familiar with these characters - so you’re relying on the MHA brand name itself to drive big audiences
Turtle Quirk good point! Though I do think they could rely heavily on the All might/eraserhead appearances to sell it if they want to do a movie. My only concern is how much material can be crammed in the movie in a good way. If they make a movie out of this I hope it can actually be good as a stand alone as well given the new characters. They’d have to have a really good set up and exposition for each character in the series.

This video honestly cleared up a big misconception I had with the MHA series. When ever the series talked about Hero ranks I honestly thought it was really weird that all the best heroes seem to live/work in Japan. So hearing that other counties have their own 1# hero clears a lot of confusion.
CC quirk sounds a lot like zero range telekinesis were he can use it to shield himself, fly, and increase his strength. The only difference between zero range and regular telekinesis is that he needs to be in contact with something to use it on them like how he transferred his barrier to those girls.
This would really explain alot.
We NEED an Iron Man character in this series. Just to show Deku what he could have become without a Quirk.
Iron man only works as a superhero because he’s a super genius and super rich enough to experiment with all sorts of weapons grade technology normal people would never ever get to see

The Support Class in UA already showcases a number of technological feats that not even Iron Man with all his genius and money has thus far been capable of.
I'm saying that it would have been amazing to see a hero in MHA that possesses the resources to perform bat-man-esque feats but is 100% human(like Stain and Aizawa, who have thus far showcased some of the best physical prowess in the manga and anime DESPITE not having any enhancement Quirks).

Man, I like this guy. I mean like, He's gone through a lot but still managed to make himself into a true hero again, and a responsible parent which is probably just as heroic, lmao.
The whole Sky Egg arc was pretty much rhe point in which I knew this series needed an anime. I legitimately teared up when I saw Tsukauchi beg All Might to save his sister, and I don’t normally cry when reading manga. CC is probably my favorite character in the series too, including the main manga.

Flight is like Superboy's Tactile Telekinesis power. It's a personal forcefield, but he can simulate flight and super strength.

Honestly Class 1-A escaping to America in hiding would work out extremely well in my opinion. The villains are just too damn strong especially Shigiraki.
His quirk is basically the same ability that Superman was described to have in some comics - he has an incredibly strong bio-field that he can freely manipulate in a lot of different ways. By controlling this field he can fly and protect himself*, but also extend it to control and protect other objects like those kids and, for example, prevent a cruise ship from falling apart while he holds it in the air, again with the help of this field. Only difference from full on telekinesis is that he needs to be in contact with an object he wants to cover in this field.
The one thing I couldn't get my head around in the vigilantes manga, was how his quirk works.

I think the super strength is the result of him pushing himself with his Flight with massive power. The reason why he doesn't get crushed by it is because of his secondary ability, the barrier.

With this arc of getting heroes from other countries, this would be an awesome opportunity to bring CC to main series. His flamboyant and positive attitude would be a great assistance to the reconstruction of MHA society. Heck, bring all vigilante characters!

He is probably a psychic but due to his huge ego he is unaware of his true abilities limiting them only to what he subconsciously thinks of himself, I don’t doubt if they did a background on him his abilities probably came one by one based on situations or all at once based on his perception of himself as a child.

He's definitely using the shield to reinforce his body & using flight to generate the force to lift the building. It's like he's pushing with a fist not an open hand so his appendages aren't really doing the work.
This guy sounds similar to DC's Booster Gold. Starts out powerful and arrogant, mostly wanting validation and praise. Powerful and has a super protective force field. Then the character goes through an arc of real growth and becomes a true selfless hero.

This guy seems to be the personification of Stains ideology.
The barrier is probably a necessary power of his flight quirk. He would need some sort of protection or secondary power to protect his body from moving at the speeds it does.
That invisible shield around his body is a not as well known superman power. It's used to explain why bullets bounce off of his suit and don't break the fabric. It's also why when he catches a plane, the plane doesn't get a superman shaped hole in it.

i think C.C.s real quirk is some form of aura generation/projection.
-his invulnerability can be explained by him generating a protective aura around his body to prevent harm.
-his flight could be explained as him generating a protective aura from his body to increase aerodynamics and simultaneously project it in a direction to provide a form of thrust.
-lastly we've only seen C.C. use super strength while flying, IIRC, so it could be explained as him projecting more of his aura at once to increase the thrust provided and in turn mimic having super strength.

I think that he's kind of like Gum when it comes to his quirk, as in he's both defense and offense but can't have both at the same time (tbh haven't read the manga so I may be wrong)
So, he either has super strength but his shields are really weak or non existant, or he uses his shields but doesn't have super strength? Kind of like how Gum can't attack but can attack any blow, yet when he loses his fat he's incredibly powerful but can't take many blows?
I think it's more that he flies into something really fast and uses the barrier to protect his body so he doesn't get hurt by it. Similar how he picks stuff up, his flight is strong enough to hold it, and he uses the barrier to make it not crush his arms and body.

From my understanding, the super strengh is a side effect of his quirk. To put it simply, his power is an hybrid between self sustained flight and highly resilient barrier that neglate all force applicated (probably under a certain limit). So basically, he doesn't actually have to carry anything, his barrier is just repulsing stuff and flying at the same time. Same goes with punching, he doesn't receive any counter effect, it's just the strengh of his motion right in the teeth of his oponent.
Yeah, let's make one thing clear. He is nowhere near All Might.
