Crackling Campfire on the Windy Tundra of Norway (HD)

- We recently travelled to the beautiful country of Norway and was able to capture some of the magic for you. This campfire was shot on the high planes of the Jotunheimen, which is a tundra-like environment with some really rough and snowy mountains, surrounding the desolate planes. The campfire was made by collecting all kinds of shrub wood that you can find on the planes there. The hardest part is to find some dry shrubs to start the fire.
We picked out the best scene and looped to 6 hours, so you can use it as an ambient background video, to relax, sleep or create an outdoor like atmosphere within your home. The scene is actually about 5 minutes, filmed in 1080p/50fps, with high quality stereo audio.
It's really quiet on these high planes, so the only thing you can here is the ambience of the surrounding mountains and wind that's beating on the campfire and actually helping to keep it going!

Laying here listening to this with chronic migraine when I saw your comment. After years of disability my neurologist prescribed lamotrigine. Might be worth looking into it if you're not already on it. God bless you.

Ive been listening to this for over a month every night, it helps alot, i fall asleep in less than 10 minutes and whenever i try to try a new ambience i just always end up back here, it has a calming sense in a way and i feel warm listening to it, like im actually lying right next to the fire as i sleep

Finally a campfire without the added "nature" noise.
I find this one the best by far. Most of the others are too bright or too noisy. This is perfect for me.
I like to make gifts for my granchildren, so I could be sewing, just starting a rag doll, I alter projects, I also enjoy making jewlerry and gift boxes and greeting cards, I have a go at anything that inspires me from pintrest, find it a very relaxing background sound and visual if I put it on big tv screen. feels like I am actually there!. brilliant after a long day at work. xxTina

Thank you!! I’m a Norwegian living in California so this scene is making my heart feel warm and cozy! It’s December and we had 72 degrees and sunshine all day yesterday, but today a storm rolled in so this fire is perfect! Missing Norway so much!

man i would never in a million years leave this place. Give my a great riffle, good knife, flint, my husky, pair of logging boots, thick durable clothes, never hear from me again. What a beautiful scene. Imagine.... sitting next to this awesome fire with a brisk breeze, drinking a cup of tea, dog chewing on an antler or rib bone and harnessed up to my belt with 50 foot rope, clear sky all the stars shine like candles, Orion is forever waiting to release his bow, all the little animals making sounds, the scents, and that once again understanding how small we truly are. Among animals, nature, all the way to the edge of the galaxy, to the deepest oceans, beyond thoughts ability, and finally see how beautiful everything is and how even with great vision how blind we can become with greed, self gratification, hate, envy, just pure poison that we nurture and cultivate within ourselves. It is only in places like this and only with the only true pure friend we will ever have can we clean our selves of the various cancers we grow within ourselves while in society. I cant believe you willingly left, you must have family or live here already. Because this spot is medicine for the mind and soul for man and his best buddy. Plus what dog would love gnawing on a real fresh bone after a good filling meal? Guess its like a good smoke for them, not pot boys and girls sorry. PS- preach dogs dont have a soul and i still choose to believe they must. They are like Gods helpers that haul our sorry asses threw all our problems how could they not?
Truly thankful for your comment and we don't live there unfortunately, but are very grateful to have been able to be out there and to capture only a faint hint of the beauty that is Norway....

Alpha Artax true, that is what it should be. I am more guarded against society and unfortunately expect the worse from them. When you share everyone wants very few come wanting nothing. I observe people a lot and just notice things. Though I have noticed dogs are as true as their actions and can be trusted with your very life. So ...... for me it's always been an easy choice. Though if you are blessed with lots of true friends, well you are truly lucky and should enjoy them as much as you can.

I am not sure you could see Orion. Orion is an equator constellation so rises during northern hemisphere winters (January to March). Maybe Betelgeuse and Bellatrix the upper stars are visible. But it depends on the time of the year. So as the video says tundra (Perma-frost region) then then the fire was not necessarily during a winter month. But lol. It's always winter there. So what do I know?

I light all the candles in my living room and have this fire burning on my tv. Since my house is decorated in a pretty outdoorsy way it's such a nice addition and makes it seem like I'm there myself.

Omggg, just, the scenery of that !!! I'm dying !! I would give anything to wake up to that kind of cozy and peaceful morning or come home to that cozy and peaceful night... It just looks so empty, huge, the snowy mountains behind it, imagining myself in the most huge and comfiest sleeping bag everrr, with 2 more friends gathered around the fire to sleeping, and then yet to enjoy an adventure later in the day, idek, this place just seems so magical to me !!

So many times I’ve fallen asleep to this video. There is just something about the fire and wind that instantly relaxes me into a calming lull 🥱😴. I love watching the flames wick into the wind and the glowing coals underneath 🔥

I love reading by the fire at my cabin when I go there. I don't read as much as I used to. But I agree it's one of the most relaxing things ever. I might start reading more again. So many epic saga's I could revisit that I'm sure I forgot much of. And new ones to find. I love fantasy adventures the most.
