Hi Joey & Julia love what goes on in the wildwoods with these new shops like clusters to more hotels, not condo"s!! 2023, hopefully, will set the stage for nore to follow. The old wildwood days song needs to come back❤ 😊 wildwood landscape is going to hit the big one if they map it rightfrom now on and keep security as well after what took place last year 😢..at the car show.....THANK YOU FOR always looking out for your viewers and doing everything to make this icon of a place the best it can be not just for all that visit but everyone that can't and only view these improvements from thier phone or the computer or tablets! ALTHOUGH THE MAN WITH THE MUSIC IN HIS MOUTH ON THE BEACH IS GONE "" THE FAMOUS FUDGY WUDGY MAN" WE WILL FOREVER HEAR IN OUR MINDS!!! HIS FAMOUS "FUDGY WUDGY" & CHACO TACO OR ORANGE CREAM CYCLE""😊 THESE ARE WHAT WHAT MAKES WILDWOOD THE PLACE & BEST BEACH IN THE WORLD... THANK YOU!!! GOD BLESS EVERONE...❤
I love the fudgy wudgy man 😂😂 I love your videos. I'm from deptford new jersey it's in Gloucester County and coming down to wildwood has been the greatest thing I've experienced in my childhood and teenage years. As we got older we kind of just went down occasionally with friends for a beach day which still is very awesome. But nothing amounts to when we used to stay at the Montego Bay for 7 days and enjoy everything the wildwoods had to offer. I found your channel a few months ago and I have been subscribed ever since. Your videos bring me such nostalgic feelings and make me feel like I am down there when I'm not. I plan to come down this summer and it would be a blessing to see ya. Anyway, thank you so much for the content and the time you take to bring those who are not able to get there that beautiful feeling of being there. Peace brother 🙏
I love the fudgy wudgy man! Always enjoy your enthusiasm for the Wildwoods, such a big part of my childhood memories in the last 60s and 70s. Years later I still visit often and can't wait to get down there this season!
ThanksJoey ! I’m along way from my favorite Wildwood beaches living now in North Carolina . But I love keeping up on what’s happening in my old stomping grounds ❤
This summer will be our first trip to Wildwood, we vacationed for years in OCNJ but wanted a change. We are looking forward to seeing the attractions and explore a new place :😃
Awesome video! Nice additions to the boardwalk. Hopefully I'll catch up with you on the boards. I love the Fudgy Wudgy Man! Love ya brother and tell the wife I said hello 👋
I loved the fudgy wudgy man, too! Great vid, Joey! What I think would be a great addition to the boardwalk is either a monorail or a Sky Ride, like they have up in Seaside Heights, NJ, that spans the length of the boardwalk. I think back in the '60s Wildwood had a monorail ride that went around one of the piers.
Fun Pier, the southernmost pier now with the Great White and the renovated front with shipping containers with food stands. Morey's took all the games away from the front. They bought the pier in 1987. The monorail was removed after 1977 and the sky ride lasted into the early 80's. They had some scary rides and walk throughs that burned in Aug and Nov 24 1984, like Lost World, Crazy House, and Castle Frankenstein as well as a boat ride into a building called Jungleland which lasted through 1985. Hunt's Pier had a Jungleland ride as well through 1988 but this was a different ride. There are so many changes happening in Wildwood that it's hard to keep up. Dante's Dungeon formerly Inferno is the last old scary dark ride left, it arrived in 1981 and has been renovated a few times, most recently last year. Mariner's has the Pirate's of Wildwood formerly Dark River which was at Morey's Pier in 1992 then was moved to Mariner's. Ghost Ship could reopen this year but it's not definite. It is currently the only walk through live actor haunt on the entire island. Castle Dracula burned Jan 16, 2002. Summer haunts are a vanishing breed, at least on the northern beaches. Myrtle Beach, SC has a few and Virginia Beach has one left, Nightmare Mansion. A haunted ship type haunt opened in Ocean City, MD several years ago but closed after just a few years of operation. It was just themed to a ship on the inside, it was off the boardwalk in a building that previously housed a nightclub.
I love the Fudgy Wudgy Man! But seriously, happy to see the new Fudge place in NWW and looking forward to trying it out, though a devotee of the Original Fudge Kitchen always willing to give the 'old' new guy a try! Hoping also that the Hotel Cabana stays open year round. The WWs need more rooms in the off season. Any updates on the Bridge Too Far, a/k/a the Icona/Ocean Holiday in WWC?
I can remember when Mack's Pizza was 15 cents a slice. Those where the days Still my go to pizza shop. I have never tasted Sam's but I think this will be the year.
I love the Fudgy Wudgy Man. Kudos to Wildwood for taking a tougher stand on open alcohol consumption. Wildwood must remain a safe family destination. Some of my fondest memories are of family vacations to Wildwood in the 60s & 70s. My parents never worried about our safety. Parents today deserve that same comfort
I love the fudgy wudgy man. I remember him when I was only 1 year old in 1951. I remember that he drove a Good Humor truck in the Spring where he lived but decided to sell ice cream in the summer on the beach. He always had a great tan! He must have gotten the only permit to sell on the beach along with the newspaper man before they closed Wildwood from allowing people to sell on the beach. My mom used to Shush them when we took naps on the beach when they walked by!
I had heard that Nan & Pops had closed. I'm not sure why, because it was so good and it only lasted a few years. I am looking forward to trying the Seafood Restaurant, though. Thanks for all the updates. And....I love the Fudgy Wudgy Man!!!😉
I love the Fudgy Wudgy Man (and stayed in the house next to his last summer before he moved! Are the go-karts still on the Adventure Pier? I see the Great White in your video but I couldn't spot the go-karts.
Gracias yoe.
Joey, I panicked when you said the new El Pilon Criollo is on Roberts and Boardwalk. I wondered what happened to the Original Fudge Kitchen (my favorite). Luckily I was able to determine that El Pilon Criollo is on Baker. 🙂 I love the Fudgy Wudgy man.
Great video Joey! Thanks for the updates. I remember when Stephen's was the Lobster Shack! We'll have to try it. I'll have to check out Otaku. My daughter loves anime & our mini black panther is Luna! Love the Fudgy Wudgy Man!
Great videos Joey. Thank you. while these new and updated places are great, they need to bring some of the old landmarks back on the boardwalk - Boat tag and those Western shoot out games with the saloon scene and especially the creepy piano player
I LOVE THE FUDGY WUDGY MAN!!😂

Sad to see boat tag removed, that was the biggest reason to go to wildwood. Now wildwood has sort of died, only good thing now is Douglas fudge.
Wow that’s awesome we will be staying at Montego Bay have to check this place out golf is good⛳️
Excited to try Quinn's fudge. But "best fudge on the boardwalk" you say? Them's fightin' words to this Douglass devotee! 😍
