    Don't blame Caleb missing wide open guys in front of him or throwing way off target to open receivers on play calling and the offensive line. Now that they got Eberflus fired, there is no scape goat for these players. These players are the reason they are on their 3rd offensive coordinator and 2nd head coach. The players failed on the hail mary, the players failed on the blocked fg, the players muffed punts, gave up ugly sacks, dropped passes, etc.

New guards and Center would help his so much with all the pressure in his face and would allow him to confidently step up in the pocket and read the field. Driving Peoria to Champaign in a bus in winter months? Why? They couldn't afford a hotel in Urbana-Champaign? Then they came out for the opener in their home navy blue on September 8. It was 87 F and sunny at kickoff and hit 89 by 1 pm, while the Vikings were wearing all white. Hell I wanted Carter, but when he did that I was like man there's no way it's happening. The McCaskeys biggest problem is trying to keep Alphas out of the hierarchy of staff because they didn't like how Ditka represented the team, and he didn't take shit from them, he did it his way for the most part... I don't think Fields *tried* since Eberflus humiliated him in front of the whole team that time when he refused to shake his hand. Remember how 'Flus was defending the o-line _plays_ while throwing the o-line *players* under the bus? He was defending His Plays.

    To your point about getting everything to work together. That’s why you don’t tank and start your team over. You build over time with legit vets ‘and’ rookies. No need to purge the Oline before you had real replacements. Same with the D. Phase guys out and phase guys in while winning.
    But! You can’t do that with a rookie GM and. rookie HC. Every guy Poles sent packing was a guy Flus did not want. You don’t get rid of your power back until you have one who will truly replace him. Not on IR, on the f-ing field! But….. Flus. Flus. fing Flus.

    Honestly bro, y’all are hilarious…. LT didn’t have a bad game, he had bad plays being exaggerated…. 2 sacks was the results of the terrible oline play…. Every oline gives up pressures and sacks, not even up for debate…. Rookies struggle, we can all agree…. But compiling the issues with bad takes about both issues is golden… My issue with the Bears is the way they coddled Caleb…. He should not be a team captain…. If he’s generational, yes he should overcome bad play calling, oline, and defensive he faces…. That’s what makes him generational. Caleb is just another rookie qb, who has to be developed…. The Bears have no idea how to be a NFL franchise…. Enter the expressions of the new Bears President Kevin Warren here…. Regardless of how you feel about his career, he’s been in the room of functional football teams…. He recognizes these owners have no idea what they’re doing, and is willing to take the responsibility anyway. Hence, I’ll give Kevin the opportunity to do his job, and will remain a faithful fan until we figure this out… Every team is dis functional until they get the best football minds who will put the Bears back in the hunt…

    Can we be honest and say we needed the haul more than we needed a QB?!

    • @elchupinazo
      @elchupinazo 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No. Would we have been better *this year* if we turned 1.01 into more assets (especially at OL and DL)? Maybe, but it would still be a roller coaster with a QB that fundamentally cannot play the position. So then you either have to pay him way more money than he's worth, or turn to what looks like two pretty bad QB draft classes for answers-good QBs simply do not hit free agency anymore. And given the value of the position, it would be *really* hard to use draft assets to trade for one-look at what it cost the Jets and Broncos to get... whatever it is Rodgers is doing and what Wilson did in Denver.
      The QB is the most important position on the team, and the most important position in sports. And he's having a pretty nice rookie season for a team that's on their 2nd HC and (effectively) DC, and their third OC. In one season. It's a lot easier to fix a team with a good QB than a team with a bad one. Their current problems are way, way easier to fix than the stripped-down 2022 roster. You could argue that Poles rebuilt the team backwards (and I wouldn't disagree), but the reality is that we're like 4 players and a whole new coaching staff away from turning this thing around.
