Interesting Jays, never even heard that kind of Jay. I need to do some Colorado birding and west coast birding. I'm in Florida.

Yeah, these are fun Jays of the west. They roam in large flocks.

Hope you are well :-) Happy Thanksgiving. I hope to make it over in late May next year.

That’s quite the Jay flock! It sounds like they’re imitating a Red-Shouldered Hawk! So cute! 😁 ☺️ Their plumage is really pretty, too. 🥰😍 The footage of the Broad-Tailed Hummingbird and the Mule Deer was very nice, too, along with that gorgeous sunset at the end. 🌄 It’s official: the Sand Dunes are on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing, Clive, and I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🐦🦌

I appreciate your comment. Yeah, these Jays are exceptionally social, roaming these open spaces in huge flocks, staying in vocal range, with some perched high keeping a sharp lookout. Flocks are in the hundreds. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving too. Mine was special this year. I'm in Norway but we had turkey with all the trimmings. I have several videos of Great Sand Dunes...I have plans of making a compilation of the best shots of the different species with some scenes from up on the dunes.

@@CliveBramham You’re welcome. ☺️ My Thanksgiving was great; my family and I had duck for Thanksgiving dinner. Also, spending Thanksgiving in Norway sounds like a fun, enriching experience. Although, I personally would prefer to visit Scandinavia in the warmer months. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for your upcoming Great Sand Dunes videos. Have a great weekend, and have fun in Norway! 🙂👋🇳🇴🐦
