Launched a second channel called Company Man. It's all about business and marketing topics. If you like this channel, you should give it a chance. The videos will be in the same format. The first video is about the decline of Kmart. This channel won't change at all but if you're looking for a different type of content in the same voice, I recommend you give it a try.

I think curry's just giving space for KD. And bringing your energy to the fullest in 2 seasons is really tiring, adding up the frustration lost in the finals. I think Steph is trying to not be #1like he was because he is focused on getting a ring or focusing on Playoffs performances. Just like what lebron did in the pasts years.

Don't even compare curry to lebron he's not even on that level. He really should shoot less and give the ball to kd more because kd has been shooting much more efficiently this whole season. The warriors would be better if they gave the ball to him more often.

So what's the point? Do you want a championship? Or an mvp?
"increase chances of getting a championship slightly" exactly. That's all it takes to win at this level... A slight chance.
You gotta take that, especially when you lost the championship by 1 game after winning 73

  • @timreck5535

Good analysis but, there is something you have not touched on. Family. The Warriors, some would say, are changing how the game is played. The fast pace, rapid transitions, and lighting fast passing rely on short play times for the whole team. Everyone plays a role is utilized and encouraged. They are an example for the league of " anti hero ball". It seems pretty obvious Durant wanted a " home" not just a good team. Curry, Kerr, and the rest of the staff and team welcomed him like family and Curry appears to revel in sharing and developing this strong team spirit even at his own expense as an MVP. It is my belief that this ethic is something our country as a whole is hungry for. Just look at the Warriors incredible across the board popularity. They speak to the sense and desire for community in everyone.....

I don't think the regular season win-chasing had anything to do with their failing to win the title. Curry's 2 injuries were fluke/ bad luck, and had nothing to do with how many games he played in the regular season. Shit happens. Bogut got plenty of rest in the regular season; he's always been injury prone. Draymond Green got suspended for his post-season behavior, and nothing about chasing 73 caused that. You put Draymond Green in game 5 or Andrew Bogut in game 7 (if necessary), and take away Curry's 2 freak accidents from which he never fully recovered during the playoffs, and I don't see them losing. And none of that stuff had to do with the decision to go for 73. And if they hadn't gone for 73, all of those injury/ suspensions STILL could've cost them a championship. In what universe is failing to get the championship AND failing to get 73 a better result?

The thing is tho stats say Curry went from 1st to 10th, but Curry is still a beast, still an MVP, and can still score if need be. Its just now he doesn't need to do much for his team because of the simple fact that they can carry their own wieght and he's just there to put the ball in the right place and take the shots he needs to take, Now he can relax and keep a clear head going into the finals now that some of that pressure is off him...

Steph is literally climbing up the three point shots made chart right now. He is doing amazing and he is doing good for having Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant on his team.

  • @miguelhidalgo4790
    @miguelhidalgo4790 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Steph's 3 pt totals:
    15-16: 402-886
    16-17: 324-789
He shot 100 less three pointers, which in turn makes fgs and misses more noticeable on a fg%.
    His assist/turnover total:
    15-16: 527/262
    16-17: 524/238
Surprisingly more efficient in this line-up with the ball
The biggest thing that has changed is Steph's effort on the boards and defense
    Steph's Reb/DEFReb/Stl totals:
    15-16: 430/362(!)/169
    15-16: 353/292/142
This is the biggest indicator of what has changed in Steph's game, and there is a reasonable explanation: rest. The warriors were the best regular season team last year, but by the playoffs Steph was hobbled and tired! Plus with injury woes this season for the Warriors (Durant), you know Kerr is gonna protect steph, which is why he sits most 2nd quarters. By putting up similar numbers on offense and conserving on defense, Curry has been much more effective and energetic these playoffs as opposed to last year.

This is Durant's first year with the Warriors. If you watched the games, you saw that Curry started the season pretty bad. That was because Curry wanted Durant to get comfortable with the Warriors. As you can see as the season progressed, Curry got significantly better because Durant was now comfortable. As you can see in the playoffs right now, Curry is playing like 2015-2016 Curry.

At first, I am also disappointed with Curry this year, but then I saw his stats and I'm like, "oh, he's warming up." It's true. Curry has not been his usual "3-point beast" like the last year, but basing on his latest games, he's definitely getting back on it. I mean, numbers don't lie. His records are still impressive right now.
Maybe he just lie-lowed a bit after his 2 consecutive MVP years.
Also, Curry is an unselfish man. Noticed how at times during this season's playoffs, instead of shooting the 3-pointer or driving the ball himself, he'd pass it to his teammates? Other MVPs would have already hogged the ball, but not Curry. He's the MVP but he let his teammates shine. He becomes a savage only when it's absolutely necessary, like if they're 15-20 points behind and they have to catch up. Am I the only one who noticed that?

People don't understand KD and Steph had to adjust to each other. Curry had an "average" regular season but look what he's doing now in the playoffs. LeBron, Durant and Curry are 3 best players in this postseason, and others (excluding Kawhi) are not even close to them.
Next year GSW can win 75 games easy if they'll want to.

Steph averaged more points this year than the year that he won his 1st mvp, he lead his team to their longest win streak of the season while Durant was injured, is averaging 30+pts in the playoffs and currently has the highest offensive efficiency of the players that still remain in the playoffs. They loss 6 more games this year and still had the best record in the LEAGUE. He only made 324 3s? Still the only player in NBA history to make 300+ 3s in a single season. It's clear that that he took less shots to make sure Durant fit into the team. You don't even have to be a warriors or Steph curry fan to know that he still had a great season. Stats don't tell the whole story and you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

Curry can't play like before. We all thought adding KD to the team would make the warriors literally unstoppable but their best player, curry, failed to make that happen. KD wanted to get a ring and not see these performances from someone he knew was good. Curry needs to be in his back2back MVP form because if they really want to win the championship this year, we all know damn well curry has to get it together. To every warriors fan here in the comments, pray that we will get the original Steph curry we once knew, back in back2back MVP mode.

News flash.... He is still amazing, but it's hard to be as amazing when you're surrounded by people who also need to be amazing. He now not only has to share the ball with Klay, but KD too, who is a ball-dominant forward. It's not like steph's numbers are down that much, and if you think about it, makes sense. He's averaging two less fg and one less 3ptr a game, and only 5 points shy of last year.
2 + 3 = 5, meaning that he's not really missing more shots, although he goes through cold streaks where he does, on average, he's just not putting up the two extra makes.
Plus when you consider his health and minute reduction through the season, I believe we were protecting him for the cavs. Time will tell if he is physically and mentally ready.

Durant isn't "hurting" Curry, or any team he might play with. Trust me this is an off year for Steph, yet his numbers are very solid. If Durant stayed in OKC, and Westbrook stays, they would've been competing in the west for years.

  • @DaniyalKhan-lg3ms

Well articulated. But I think Klay would have grown this season as well, so Durants move stunted his growth as well. Definitely an obvious decline in Currys numbers because of KD. But there are a lot of other factors. Chemistry, ball distribution, what happens in-game when you have another superstar on the floor. The flow changes a bit and it did between the two years. Good video though.

Somebody else mentioned Bogut's' picks... darn right! But the real problem is there's only one ball and 5 or six shooters. Winners know that you must support the 'heat'. A hot shooter is the most important player on the court. More shooters means less shooting for the guy who's hot. Klay, Steph, and the warriors have all suffered from simply shooting less.

I don't think many GSW fans think the team isn't better with Durant at basically the cost of Harrison Barnes + Bogut. Curry lost some spice but could erupt at any moment. Team cohesion remains good and KD seems to be enjoying the Bay Area and making a good impression. It's somewhat dangerous to rely on the bulk of your scoring from outside shooting guards even if they are named Steph and Klay...

he's not pushing himself like last year. And at the beginning of the year curry was trying to let everyone get use to having kd on the team.

even if KD is in GS even if Curry is not MVP he is still my favorite player in NBA

    KD dampened Curry's individual career.
While inadvertently putting a stain on his own career by joining a megastar team that don't need him.

a big change on GSW chemistry that affects STEPH

  • @clayderry9540

one reason is also because before defenders didn't really keep a eye on him now he is a 2 time MVP so yeah now people know to watch him and he had a off season this year

One point you haven't considered, is that he doesn't have to be the 'Best' player on the team. The mindset changes when you get someone of equal caliber (arguably) on your team. Someone you can completely trust to handle things for you! Especially when before it was ALL on you! I think it would have most definitely had of continued had Durant not came over. I guess I don't agree with him going over there either, but the talent doesn't 'have to be evenly distributed!'

Curry is just adjusting his chemistry with KD, their team chemistry. Curry does not want to be an mvp, he want to win another ring.

You should make a GSW playoff comparison for this year vs last year :). So Far the Warriors have swept round 1 & 2 and are looking to sweep round 3, where as last year they played rockets in 1st 4-1, portland in 2nd blazers 4-1 3rd thunder 4-3 then the L to cleveland 3-4.
