That mom from the first story is definitely not a fit mother. I’m glad the sister survived, but just imagine how traumatized she likely is from having her toe injury ignored for so long that she had to have it amputated. If the mother is still alive, I hope the sister does not have a relationship with her anymore.

i seriously hope the mom got clean and realized how much of a terrible mom she was to her kids. nobody deserves to be put through stuff like that. 😢

as a kid, my sister and I lived with my mom because she had full custody of us but my dad had visitation rights since court declared him an unfit father. When I was about 7 years old, my dad took me and my sister to Maine, (with my mom's permission). During the evening but almost night (it was summer so the sun went down later) me and my dad's gf went on a walk while my sister and dad had a talk. Me and the gf return to the trailer, and we walk in on my drunk dad throwing hot dogs at my sister(maybe mini hot dogs? i dont remember). Turns out, she just wanted to call my mom and say goodnight and he got mad because he was afraid we liked our mom more than him. Another time, me and my sister were sleeping at his and his gf's house (different gf than the first story) i was maybe 6 and my sister was throwing up so my dad's gf drove her home (she lived like 20-35 minutes away from my house) and my dad stayed with me and stuff happened (I don't really remember because my childhood is blurry, but i do remember being terrified) and when his gf got back, i waited a little and told her i was feeling sick too just so she could drive me home away from my dad. My dad is, and always has been an alcoholic. he's been to jail many times for stupid stuff he did while drunk. My sister and I don't talk to him anymore, her and I have childhood trauma. I remember very little of my childhood but she remembers it all, which is so terrifying cuz she got the most hits cuz i was my dad's favorite. I will never drink alcohol because of him. even when we did still talk to him, he never made the effort to come see us, his job is a 1 minute or less drive away from my house.

I got one. So I'm Mexican, I was born in Mexico, and I speak Spanish. When I was 6 my dad took us to the United States to start a new life there. Now at school the teachers thought that I was mentally disabled because I was bad at school. Not realizing that I just didn't speak English, so they put me in Special Ed. I have been in Special Ed my whole school life even though I'm both physically and mentally stable. I didn't know I was in Special Ed until I graduated high school. I just assumed all classes had students who didn't pay attention and act immature. But at least I got to be the top student in all of my classes because I actually did my work correctly and was mentally stable.

Why do people take rumors so extremely? Don't put a blade to someone's face. The worst rumor I ever heard was about a kid who had down syndrome. Keep in mind we were very young and we didn't know what down syndrome was, but for some reason we were all taught that down syndrome meant the person was missing half their brain. That's it. That's all we were told. I don't know where that came from or why the teacher never bothered to correct this. Looking back I can see how messed up that was. So many kids who didn't know any better were either asking or berating this kid with down syndrome because they believed he was missing half his brain.

This hits so close to home because I'm currently being abused by my father and I'm too scared to ask for help. My most recent beating was 2 days ago and im still being forced to go to school and act like everything is normal. The punches hurt.
