Today was MOVE-IN DAY into my Sterling Ink Common Planner and I am super excited about it! I just had a couple of concerns with this planner knowing how I use my notebooks/planners.
1. The cover of the CP being a bit thin compared to the weight of the planner. I bought the clear cover hoping to give it some structure but the plastic was a bit thinner than I expected. So I will be on the hunt for another clear cover that will be a little sturdier and will fit the full year.
2. Due to me being a HEAVY writer, I was concerned that I would use up all the notebook pages before the end of the year.
So this video I want to share a little of what I was processing through to hopefully meet all my needs and not run out of note pages.

I was watching this video in bed with my cat spooning and when your cat’s head popped up I told him “oh look a kitty” he also loves sitting on my planner while I’m working on it 😂

Oh I can't wait for the vault to be opened up again 😉. I don't have a Gillio, but I can tell you from looks, the ETL is amazing 😍 and a sure winner in my opinion. It is on my wish list for sure 🥰

maybe run a butter knife buy the stitching of the book that it doesn't fit it?
You can insert some card stock to the back inside sleeve pocket of the plastic cover to make it sturdier. Then some people take a bone folder and gently run it along the inside of the back pocket to loosen any glue along side the inside of the leather pocket . Then try sliding it into the Eternal Leather cover. Gentle hand and it does the trick! And I agree. I totally prefer the Eternal Leather.
I did that and the cover is still way too small for the notebook. I filmed the comparison video today and you'll be able to see how much shorter the cover is to the planner. 😬

I've done it all, I'm sure we all have. A5, B6, B6 slim and I even had a leuchtturm pocket. Next I'm in an A6 bujo and it is the perfect size for me. With the nanami plenty of space to plan, write and lists. I prefer the Gillio personally for my A6, the rust color is to die for. I don't like the spot on the clasp, if you do the eternal leather is better. Would love a video with your thoughts on the journal and the pen! Also I'm very happy that you've been able to get more videos out. Love to see them and hear your thoughts about things ❤️
I really enjoyed this video. I don’t see myself using the common place book just because a B6 doesn’t fit my lifestyle. Im an A6 for on the go & A5 for my desktop. I tried to keep a journal in my planners and it becomes too much. Im easily overwhelmed. So I keep a “burn book” in my TN. But I love your style! Keep the videos coming! 😊

You could always add some thick card stock or patterned card in the inside of the plastic cover to help with the stability of the cover.

I rented a Gillio for a while and I was not impressed. I like my VDS covers and like the leather a lot. I did not like the Gillio leather and didn’t feel it was very nice or worth the price tag. Imho. Can’t wait to hear your full thoughts.
You can sometimes use a paper trimmer and just barely trim the edge of the clear cover and then use a letter opener or butter knife to run around the edge of the planner pocket to make it fit. If it’s literally just a smidge too small.
I also prefer VDS plus their customer service is stellar.

Sure! I can do a video on how I do my lashes. I use a couple different products and the actual lash segments I use are from Lash Linx. Love their hybrid H1 and N2 styles!

It fit in the back pocket without the clear cover HOWEVER, the thicker spine of the full year made it so it didn't shut nicely. The cover would poke out. Not sure if that makes sense.
Dietrich greatly improves the video, although I love the planner/journal content too lol
I have the English man Siri. He sounds just like a real life friend of mine As for everything in this video,the time tracking, the resistance to change, etc. Makes perfect sense to me, since I am also on the neurodiversity spectrum. I would have played with my planners today, but I am sick. Either I have the upper respiratory infection or the omicron. I feel miserable and hiding in bed today. My Apple Watch is basically yelling at me to stand, and I ignore it.

Thank you so much! I am guessing he has some Siamese in him? I rescued him off the street. A neighbor down the road moved and left him outside. He was in the big freeze last year and his poor little tips of his ears froze off. Another older neighbor was feeding him and I asked if I could take him as she was about to call the Animal Control folks to come pick him up. He was SO skittish at first but I got him to trust me and brought him inside and he will never be cold again! 💛
Detrich is actually so cute, but what is it about cats that they just have to be all up in your sfuff, sitting right on what you are doing and walking right under your feet that you either trip over them or step on them? I say that all with love of cats, we have one :)
Can you just cut the top of the plastic cover. I do that with all of mine for my ELG's covers. And I only have to cut a tiny bit off. 😊 I love my ELG's covers better than the one Gillio I own. 🙈🤷♀️
I don't think I would like doing that but I'm ok with getting another one. Yeah, I was quite surprised at the quality of the Gillio for how much hype there is around the brand. 😬

Or… use your planner as you like- and don’t worry about fitting everything from one year into one planner. Start it any day and go on to a new planner when it’s full. Then start the next. Why let a set number of pages limit you’re creativity and productivity?!
