The Marker button works pretty well actually. Once it is engaged, you can use the jog wheel to scroll through and hit the record button which then places the markers. Super time saver.
Great tip!
This one is not a "mixing system". This is a control surface. Don't get me wrong. I am not complaining. This terminology will help differentiate this from your Softube mixing system videos. Thank you for this surface control series. I have always been addicted to controllers of all kinds. Get your hands on your virtual instruments and virtual studio.
Well, maybe with Cubase it is integrated enough to use the phrase "mixing system"?
ok, thanks
Great video, very informative. 👍🔥🔥
Glad you think so!
Great vid mate. I’ve had 32 channels of Qcon for the last couple of years, running Logic. Great hardware but it certainly has a few annoying quirks!
Thanks for the info!
I found a dude on the tube who may have some of the answers about the probs with mac mini M1 & the mac studio.. Fascinating his work around.. I'll send his link shortly peeps.. Props to YOU brother for these videos and all the work you do to help us.. You've definitely helped me on my journey.. 🎸🙏👍🏼🍀✌🏽⭐
Thank you
@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy Thankyou Sir . .

1 R . . damn
And look for the one spelling mistake beyond the apostrophe . .😶🌫
Great video. I have a faderport 8 using studio one and still suffer where the console window does always reflect what is on the surface, as you pointed out in this video. Is this a Studio One “feature” irrespective of surface, or is there a trick I haven’t learnt yet?
Its a studio one issue, from what I am told.
I use the QCon ProX mainly to control Samplitude Pro X3. I got the current Overlay and every Bottom got his function (wich I can change to my liking if I want). BUT: You need some time to get used to that new workflow. You know, I work with Samplitude for a realy long time. I know my keys. Muscle-memory makes you reach for the mouse or keyboard and it needs a consicous decision to slow down and use your controler. It can be a stiff learning curve in the beginning. I got my QCon for 3 years now, and I got very much used to it. It`s not the only controler in my studio. I got diffrent controler for diffrent functions, like plug-ins etc.
If you don`t inspect the impossible, the QCon Pro X is a powerful DAW-Controler and fun to use.
Great, thanks for the input and for watching!
Thank you for a very informative video
I have a question: how does this control surface work with S1’s channel filter? Does the control surface follow the instructions of the filter?
I have no idea, sorry
Hi thank you for the video. Just wanna ask you is the master track meter led is working ?
Yes, it is
@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy thank you 🙏 for your answer. You have great day
Hi, I really appreciate your videos on these DAW control surfaces. My question is why would I purchase one of these instead of a digital 32 channel soundboard like a QU-32 that can also connect to a DAW for about the same price?
Thanks for your thoughts on this.
Jamie :)
I have never used the QU-32, so I have no idea. It may be a better solution. You'll have to compare them feature for feature and see what works best for your workflow
i would definitely say if you are a Studio One user and considering a control surface then i would say don't look at anything else other than the Faderport 16 or 8, it is specific to the DAW and really integrates well. If you are a Cubase or Logic guy then yeah this looks better noting its a generic controller.
I have used both and I am not sure I agree with you but to each their own and what they are comfortable with
@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy how long did you spend with it Dave? There are a lot of features that aren't immediately apparent but once you learn them the workflow improvements are with the investment
I don't agree either. I've had various FaderPorts and they have the same annoying issues as the ProX among other things. I currently have the ProX on my desk as I write this and can say, it's going back. I find that if the surface controller cannot mirror the DAW mixer, I tend to just mix by mouse and never touch the control surface. It's a real deal breaker for me. (I am a Studio One user)
Next The xtouch please
If they will send me one, I'll certainly do it
I don't get why Softube managed to have the mixer mirror the selected channel on the controler and others didn't. If they can select a previous or following track with the arrow, why don't they program the select buttons to scroll the needed number of channels (which is # target - # current)?
no idea. Great question
Would you recommend this or SSL UF8?
