Ambula Rai Recipe ( Odia ) | Ambula Besara Recipe : It is one of the most popular sweet and sour recipe in Odisha. Made with sun dried mango and mustard paste. It can be served with steamed rice or with Pakhala ( Water rice ) . So, learn this super tasty tangy flavour dish in this video . Do try it at home and enjoy it in your lunch or in dinner.
Ingredients :
1. Sun dried mango ( Ambula / Dry mango ) - 5 pcs
2. For making mustard paste :
Mustard seeds - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Dry red chilli - 1
Garlic cloves ( 4-5 )
3. Fresh curry leaves - 1 stem ( 8-10 leaves )
4. Panch phoron / Pancha phutana - 1/2 tbsp ( cumin seeds, mustard seeds. black cumin, saunf and fenugreek seeds )
5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
6. Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
7. Yogurt ( Curd / dahi ) - ( 2 - 3 tbsp )
8. Mustard oil - 2 tbsp ** Recommended
9. Sugar - 6 tbsp ( or adjust according to the taste )
10. Salt
