Nice! I just went to Montreal for the first time in September 2023 and it was amazing. I'm from Long Island so it took probably the same time to get there.
I'm glad I found your video because I enjoyed the ride to one of my fave cities in the world. Your vid was recommended to me because I love to view driving videos to Quebec province from the U.S. East Coast as well as driving videos shot within Quebec province. Being a non-driver, your type of video is a special thrill that I'll never experience from behind the wheel. Steady cam, really nice clear images, beautiful scenery (reminds me of what I see when riding Amtrak's Adirondack from New York City Penn Station, starting out between 8 and 8:15 a.m.). Thank you for uploading!
Just stumbled on this video by accident. You drove past my place at the 6:11:55 mark. Was hoping you'd take the new Champlain Bridge but when I didn't see it as you drove under the old one, I realised this was filmed in 2016. Hope you had a great time in our wonderful city. We Montrealers love visiting N.Y.C. as well. One of my favorite places to go to.
I'm defo hooked on yer channel - this my 3rd vid - and right up there - I saw ( a small part ) of Expo 67 in Montreal, while I was a Navigation Cadet on a ship - wassat- 54 years back? - so I was kinda curious to see the city from the street - great vid
That was fast..... you were at the very small frontalier post at Lacolle, the other one is much more bigger than this one....And july 1st is Confederation Day which is normally a civic holiday throughout Canada. You didn't cross the principal where friends and I waited six hours to pass, being asked many strange questions in 15 minutes.....And then continue our road to New York city...
Now what camera do you use for this? I'm thinking about making a similar drive coming out of Midcoast Maine and crossing into Québec through New Hampshire or Vermont and approaching Montréal from the east.
This video is taken using a Contour Roam. I upgraded to a GoPro Hero 5 Session(with built in image stabilization) in the more recent videos. For long drives, I recommend a 128gb memory card - at 1080p resolution, it's about 4gb for every 17 minutes of video.
I'm making this drive soon and want to plan a break every 2 hours. Seems like once you get past Albany, there aren't really any good rest stops on Northbound I87? Which rest stops did you go to if any?
Welp, in the past 9 months, I've made this trip about 15 times. there really aren't any good rest stops after Albany lol. To anyone making the drive, remember to gas up at Pottersville because there ain't no gas station for about an hour.
I got to say, NY speed limits are trash... on the parkway really only 55?! No reason you couldn’t do 70 on it. And on I-87? Seriously just 65 the whole way, easily drive 75-80 with no problems. That’s disgusting, if I lived there I’d get so many tickets from just driving normally.

That's so cool, I live in Malta 3 min away from that KFC, out of all the places you could have stopped at you stopped there what a coincidence
Montreal is a beautiful city, please take the time to admire it.
Thanks for the video! I'm from Quebec. 🇨🇦🇲🇶
you should drive from Canada to Australia
Walter the Absract you'r serious or it's a joke ?
You have to drive on a plane
A good part of that trip is very wet.
JBPods azul
its a joke you dumb fuck
Not reasonable. The video would be too long.
I live an hour south of Toronto in Ontario. Just got back from Montreal and Quebec City last week. So amazing up there!
My dad drove me up to Montreal in 1976 for the olympics. We stayed in Joliet, forty miles away. Sunset was almost 10pm.
Love how the sign on that Taco Bell/KFC says "Career opportunities" :-)
I realize Im kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to watch newly released movies online ?
3:28:37 Hudson River just south of Lake George. It's soooo narrow up there compared to how big it is down in the city area.
Nice cruising. Thanks for posting.

It's cute how you added the comment about KFC. Thanks, all the little details are important.
The worst part of driving long distance are the trucks and making a mistake and going the wrong way
Thumbs up for posting a 6.5 hour video! How long did this take?
timsmotorcyclediary 😂😂😂😂
This is a beautiful video!
How great is the east Coast. Drive from NYC to a cosmopolitan French city in 6 hours.
Only 6 ? I drive almost every year to London ON
8 hrs from Westchester
I would Love to visit Montreal in the future
1:17:00 Damn bro, be careful. Great video by the way!
Dude nearly crashes because of making this video, omg
Cheers for your sacrifice in uploading this, it must have taken a fuckton of processing 👍
The boarder crossing there I assume the one off of 276 is so small compared to the Detroit/Windsor corssing.
I love this video buddy!

Nice video, Why did you go 276 into Canada you could of jut take 87. Looks like you went out of the way just to get back on to 15.
In addition to the McDonald's being across the street from the cemetery there is also a Dunkin Donuts across the street from the cemetery too

I'm sure certain things were edited out...
Amazing! Congrats.
I love this trip.
What did you need to show at border? Passport? Or can you just go through?
Streets in NY look like a mess. What are you paying taxes for?
But i mean....is he wrong?
The border looks different from NYC to Montreal.
When is the border?
The border check is at 5:28:00
nathan menezes thanks dude!
You're welcome
I would love to visit canada
What would this drive be like in March?
would be tail end of winter. Probably won't be snow, but still a small chance.
Unfortunately, there’s nothing picturesque about this route. Just trees left, trees right.
This is AMAZING!
Would’ve been better had you crossed the G Washington or tappan zee bridges.
3:33:48 Great Escape - Splash Water Kingdom Theme Park!!
Don't come during the winter. It's worse than Winterfell in Game of Thrones.

NYC to Toronto is 1 hour 25 minutes via plane.
@@Faze9784 noooo
how long was the drive?
4:55:37 there is a cut.. nice video
Massi Hadji yes, getting gas and taking a break. I stopped the cam because it would be
10-20 minutes of the video just sitting there.
A McDonald's in front of a cimetery no joke
