They hate the Necro, why? What is their beef? I’m giving up on my main and building a Templar I’m done with the disrespect getting owned in PvP. Necro is supposed to be a little more op.
@@AB-gc3mr I still play mine, but I have had days where I just drop it for weeks and play my DK or Sorc or Templar. Necro needs love and adding dmg or QoL is nice, but it has a CORE problem it being not feeling like a necro from base.
Give us a ''save'' option for infinite archive ffs...

Except it doesn't. A lot of roguelikes allow for mid-run saving, including some of the most famous.
Such as:
-Rogue Legacy 1 & 2
-Binding of Isaac
-Faster than Light
-Slay the Spire
-Dead Cells
And ALL of those are meant to be MUCH shorter per-run experiences than Infinite Archive.
This whole update seemed rather lackluster. The only think I was really excited about was the curative pvp drops.
seeing as we just got gold road I'm sure everyone expected it wasn't going to be much or you must just be new to ESO

@@jamesmoriarty2001 i bet 80% of ESO players don't care about housing so I could careless if they ever did anything for it.
The Housing feature was kind of embarrassing. Especially the part where they mentioned that monstertrophys would look great in one of the new houses and the twitch chat exploded with comments , telling them that there are not enaugh slots for those trophys 😥.
With all the "hype" they build up with the announcement i hoped for something more practical or atleast for more slots.... I guess the PvP "feature" in Q4 will also be that we are able to post our duells in the groupfinder or something like that 😅😭🤮
Heck I knew they won't do more slots .. but for gods sake .. at least make furnitures sizable ! That would solve issue of less space instantly. Also how hard is it to allow us to make alts into houseguests or program houseguests to do minor stuff. Like reading a book. Or sitting on chair. They programmed pathing already. It shouldn't be this hard ! And pathing wasn't even told to be this giant update either.
I had hoped for a furnishing bag or at least double storage chest capacity...most housing people are hoarders and it ruins the fun having to go to multiple houses for items we need for a builld

Love the sorc set, the extra health bonus makes the shield and instant heal bigger plus a nice damage bonus that I could really use
Until they increase the currency in the Endless Archive, it's just not worth it. I was so excited till I found out it takes two hours to get two random cheapest class set boxes. Just far to slow to get anything else. So its a dead activity. Am I missing big pay outs somehow?
Yes u are, it does take awhile but those fortunes give u any material in game , never buy the sets
I'm guessing they'll start doing extra currency events like they do in other areas of the game. also, if you do have the time to push deeper into the archive, the later arcs pay out WAY more than the early ones. it is just a bit time consuming in one session to get there. but if you do you start making a ton.
@@skinnycheeks Thanks. Yeah for many of us, time per week is low. Everything else in the game is of no issue. Just Endless Archive. Yes I'm hopeful for double event in the future.
@@skinnycheeks That's my biggest problem with Infinite Archive, "one session." It really sucks when you get on a roll in the Infinite Archive, but then you have to cut it short because something IRL has come up. They should at least let us "checkpoint" at the beginning of a new cycle.
I don't think rewards in Archive are worse than getting 1-2 keys from a dungeon or getting 5 transmutes from a weekly trial coffer. They want you to grind and come back again and again.
That said, as someone who does 1-2 IA runs per week (one solo run that I end around Arc 5, and one duo run that we end around Arc 10), I have 600k fortunes and I own all class sets and almost all style pages, as well as all other collectables. And I spend fortunes to buy new scribing stuff for all my characters every week and occasionally other weekly things. All class set items I got from drops not from buying boxes as they drop very often from marauders. And you don't even need a duo run for it, there were 2 months I just did 2 solo runs weekly. Of course, if you don't have 2-3h for a longer run, it's hard to grind it. I have the same issue with trials, no time for a prog group so it's hard to get perfected gear.
woulda been nice on the sorc set if they took off that 5 piece for if you have a pet active, and make it so your pet only needs to be active on one bar, so that the matriach and the imp could share the same slot for fb and bb instead of taking up 4 slots between both. That way if you don't have a pet you gain big damage and heals, and if you do gain your bar slots back.
These are a lot more interesting. Honestly the templar execute issue and the sorc ulti issues are the only drawbacks to otherwise really nest sets for my mains. I might still consider using them
Templar set is supposed to create an execute pressure. You place power of the light, attack for a few seconds, then throw a javelin or do a toppling charge and execute. So now this damage from set goes with stun. Not sure if it will be comfortable to stand inside the circle though. In PvP moving is very important.
Also depends where the spear thing spawns, if its gonna be a random location like Essence Thief it will be extra nuisance.

ESO necro are not necro at all. Yea they have the names, but the play style and it theme r not what I have in mind. Always thought it’s a summoner class but I was wrong. I don’t even know what type of class it is. I feel like a waste of space, time, and potential. I’m sticking with nb and sorc.

Missing major buffs and damage. The class isn't even fit to stand in the shadow of the arcanist.
@@umbrashadowmoon5685 I play mine like I did in other RPG's. Using all skills of Necromancy instead of just having horde of undead drain my mana. I was actually pleased that they put work and thought into skills beyond "Just copy Pet Sorc ..."
I seem to be the rare case of "this patch is for me, I love it". I love both housing and Infinite Archive. :D Very excited about them adding new stuff to Archive, especially because it means they will keep doing it in the future, new bosses are fine but new Fabled enemies, Marauders and areas are the best parts as in later arcs this is where most of the time is spent. I hope they will keep adding new non-combat rewards too, more furnishing items and style pages. I knew what the new housing feature would be from data mining so I wasn't as disappointed as most housing fans, I still think it's nice, especially for those not using the EHT addon.
The QoL update I like the most is monster set shoulders being curated, I am missing quite a lot of those in my sticker book and since I got the weight that I needed for the ones that I use, I didn't want to spend keys trying to hope and get the missing ones.

The 0.5 second cool down on the Corpsebuster set needs to be replaced with up to X corpses. This will give the Necro much needed unique playstyle and make the set viable in both PvE and PvP.

I love playing wardens as DPS so I like this new set they came up with, might put it on my stamden as a replacement for PoN, was paired with Dro'zakar's claws. I think I can lose out the extra bleed source from PoN considering the set also gives a hefty damage bonus to my spammable, active bear and my upkeep of shalks and fetchers. Plus the 2 lines of weapon and spell damage are really nice.

If the spear affect has gone off I think it resets the cooldown so you would have to again use burning light twice within 30 seconds to get the spear to shoot
I definitely want that Arcanist set for Infinite Archive. If you manage to get Focused Efforts early on, that would be nuts. I also wonder if it would be worth it to pair with Serpent's Disdain. If nothing else, it would be fun to see all status effects active on a single target.
I was actually thinking about it on my status based arcanist toon (I have already another for the usual velothi mythic and beam all day, no reason to just have the same playstyle twice). It's a matter of if I want to lose out of the extra status chance from heartland conqueror on charged or the extended durations on statuses, especially bleed and poison since I upkeep burning with elemental susceptibility.
A part of me thinks that with high enough status proc chances I can forgo the extended status duration if it manages to proc often enough.

Zos giving us free skill styling wow. I'm not gonna lie they been killing it this expansion hopefully bring some life into eso again and the fact you canbget some dope mounts through achievements huge props.
I got 7 of one type of monster shoulder in a row that i didnt want and i had spent all my keys! I got super unlucky. The chances of rolling the same 50% drop 7 times in a row is 1/128 or 0.78%. lol, that curated thing will fix that very nicely
So the question is: we are assuming, given a major amount of skepticism, that Aetheric Lancer set might consider a potential "backlog" of "Burning Light" passive stacks through the Aedric Spear skill-line (actives/passives), whilst it is still expending its functionally "stocked up" amount of necessary "Burning Light" stacks (twice within 30 seconds)?
I guess we'll see
Does anybody know, if Lingering Torment from the new scribing systems stacks? So if one would use Wield Soul with Lingering Torment (which deals 336 DMG/Tick for 10s) and Elemental Explosion with Lingering Torment (which deals 281 DMG/Tick for 20s), can both damaging effects be active at the same time?

I have a question, when they say “monsters”, does that include players in pvp? Or monsters as in pve monsters only?
Monsters are npc enemies. So all adds and bosses in pve, the npc's in pvp, and I think player pets too, but not players.

So these class sets force you to use certain skills? I made a Warden that is pure ice powers and this set isn't useful? Forgive me for the possibly dumb question and possibly subpar class idea. I'm new and playing it for fun and not for min-max
The idea behind these class sets is that each set corresponds in some way to one of the skill lines.
The first Warden set that is already in the game, Gardener of Seasons, synergises specifically with the Green Balance skill line. This one is for Animal Companions. I would assume that they will come up with a Winter's Embrace class set as well at some point, though it will be a while (and no guarantee that it's a damage set, or rather, I'd not be surprised if it won't be).
Definitely need it. Most people have significant lives outside of any game. Often it can interfere at the most inconvenient time. Having a save would help a lot when work, home, family, friends… interrupt personal time.

might want to re-watch that section. might have misunderstood me. to launch the spear for the set you need skills in the aedric line
There's one change I'd like to see : new Warden set from Physical to Bleed damage. I love the new Bleed Stamden direction they're trying to go for.

Yes, it's only a matter of time before they do this, but it would have been announced in the stream if it was imo. It's a staple of the genre.
Regarding the new Templar set: I'm not sure about Templars dropping Shards from their rotation, even in execute. Because I find that when I'm in a trial on my Templar I'm always being asked to put shards somewhere, usually for a tank to consume. So having an additional incentive to do so, makes it feel like less of a chore and more of a mutual benefit.
The part that strikes me a being more than a little redundant is the Sundered status effect being in there. I mean, PotL is already a near-constant. So when would this additional source of Sundered ever be needed? Whether a Templar is in a trial or in Cyrodiil, their target should ALWAYS be Sundered, via PotL.
As well, this seems like yet another thing that tethers Templars to a location, which feels awful in PvP. Especially since the class has both a charge and knock-back in its toolkit. So they can charge an enemy and most likely leave their ground effects or knock an enemy out of their ground effects. I find that neither is ever the right call. Why are so many of the Templar abilities at odds with one another? It's a very poorly thought-out class, imo.
Remember when fire damage was taken away from Templars, to be replaced with magic damage, on the grounds that it was "too OP" for Templars to have fire damage? Yet look at the current iteration of DK. And now, with this new set, even their Light Attacks will deal additional fire damage..? Come on... If it's "too OP" for one class, how is it fine for a class that already beats them out in most respects?
I also sort of doubt many players bothered to collect the previous Templar set from IA, given how worthless it was (along with many other of the class sets). So now, those players (myself included) will be collecting the new maybe-less-worthless set randomly intermingled with the previous very-worthless set; awesome...
I really like the class sets. I don't play anything other than solo over world content. Zone quests, delves, public dungeons. I like the "challenge" of making a dps build that focuses on one of the skill trees as the primary, finding a secondary set that compliments the theme of that skill tree, and seeing if I can make it viable. I also like using the sets as my outfit. So I'm excited for the new class sets and seeing if I can make new builds with those skill trees. Warden should be much more viable now, using Gardener of Seasons and its skill trees was difficult to make a dps build for. (If the new class sets look the same as the current class sets, which for some reason I really think they're going to do, I'm gonna be very upset.)
Why is the templar one always one of the worst?
Pyrebrand looks like its catering a One Bar HA DK build and honestly Ive been looking for one, relying too much on the Lightning Staff for DK doesnt sound right but this set would probably help with the cleave that it lacks.
Corpsebuster, is a set that should be a Necromancer passive lmao.
Umbral Edge, looks very interesting for tanks, for pvp its prolly going to hit very hard.
Beacon of Oblivion looks like it would hit hard paired with Velothi, this set looks like it would work very well on a two bar build with no pets. Its pet version looks like its catered to pvp and how you could shield stack even more with the stats it gives, but thats kinda underwhelming from a pvp perspective, additional Magicka or Pen wouldve been better because pet takes a skill slot and summons scale based on your max magicka and pen.
Aerie's Cry, looks like this is going to be the meta for Warden, its like Relequeen but looks to be stronger since (if going by description) its going to buff up the bear too, just wish they would add unique to pet light attacks too like you can add a stack at the same time your bear can too, this would make the bear interesting to use for rotations and just overall gameplay.
Spattering Disjunction, this set is going to be busted for pvp when paired with Serpent's Disdain, you can easily stack pressure of status effects on a player without having to rely on stat procs via Charged traits or guarantees on skill but just simply dropping a snare or immobilization on an enemy. The main question for this is if affects AoE or just 1 person, because if its AoE its going to be broken, if its just one person, its going to be deadly only in 1 v 1 situations. Either way this set is made to be deadly in pvp, pve not so much.

I've rolled the 5 key alot..but still havent gotten the 1 in 6 chance with over 100 keys. (That's 20 consecutive rolls)

I am glad they are addressing ia, it does seem like it holds alot of potential. To me it also feels like they are too paranoid about adding something game busting. Community needs some risk taking n fun. Give us a voludrung hammer in ia or when you are in some pug 3 hour trial run, lol.
I guess one good thing I can say is that it doesn’t seem like any of this will make the game worse

I’d rather these set bonuses be creatively added to the class passives instead of to sets, maybe add an IA skill line that unlocks the class passive. Could be like knowledge you learned there.

I play a one bar templar and so far the dungeon was just uninteresting for me... Ran it maybe 8 times now, 60k points for weekly each time and that's it. It also never really was an option for leveling up a character, which is just a missed opportunity I think.

43 updates and STILL no hair dye
IA needs a save option and the visions need to be rebalanced. As long as Focused Efforts remains the way it is, the only viable strategy in the endgame is the mind-numbingly boring Ele Sus spam build regardless of your class. This vision needs to be heavily nerfed and a lot of the bad visions need to be buffed in return.

This update for homebuilders is just the worst, and yes the update in general is the worst and no content for the remaining half of the year. ZOS as usual do not listen to what the audience demands from them. Not to mention the stream that they held, without preparation, extraneous sounds in the background, for some reason they started talking about the dog. Just a nightmare and just disrespect, I now understand why old players don't play this game, ZOS just don't care about them, ZOS would rather make new crown boxes

Update was extremely underwhelming and makes me think q4 update will also be underwhelming...compared to previous years we really seem to be in maintenance mode...every update and chapter seems to get smaller and smaller...the sets are more interesting this time around but overall disappointed

They need to just entirely rework the infinite archive. It was such an awesome idea with massive potential, but its the worst PVE activity in the entire game.

How about something to change the appearance of the Sorc pets? They are so ugly and the color is so ugly, every other game has options to change pet color or reskin damage pets- for a class that makes up a huge percentage of the base, there are NO Options for how sorc pets look!

More and more I have started to regret all the money and time invested to this game and I really really hope one of those newcomer mmorpg's will be good enough to replace ESO and Wow. I strongly feel like they have no idea what to do with this game and just creating random lackluster stuff hoping it is enough so they can keep on robbing peoples money through crown store. Gold road was so hyped and I too fell for it only to now realize it is actually uninteresting and hollow trash expansion missing a lot of real content. I have my hopes up for Thone and Liberty open beta starting soon also Ashes of Creation whenever it will go live.

What a massive letdown the sorc set is. I thought class sets were supposed to play into class mechanics, yet they went with the most boring 5-piece possible, flat stats.
They could've done something like your pets apply debuff stacks that Daedric Prey consume to give a bigger boom.
Non-pet could've been the same thing with Haunting Curse but you're the one applying stacks instead.
Literally anything would've been more interesting than flat stats...

@@skinnycheeks i can see every blade running rally +this set+ballorg. Because new set is literaly 3 in one. 10% dmg+ dodge 1 skill every 3 sec+ defence/hp. Looks like they get 2 extra, no droping 1

Matriarch is great for healing and i dont think 15% bonus heal will worth the sacrafice. 15% dmg in PvE ? Meh, we already have better sets. Omw to test all on PtS. Already ready to get disapointed :D
the nightblade set is completely busted for pvp. its nothing new, we see it every patch. ive never subscribed to the theory that gilliam is the reason nb gets buffed every patch, at least in pvp, but im really starting to question that. Clearly someone at zenimax is delusional. Whether is him or someone else doesnt really matter i guess. But the last thing that class needs is a dodge every 6 seconds + major vuln. People run kynmarchers on a lot of things, nightblade as well, just for the chance at major vuln every now and again. But now nightblades will have it almost always if they run this set, and they will run this set.
this is why they need to balance pvp and pve separately. But at this point who cares.
Yep constant buffs for pvp while NB remains the worst DD in the entire game for years on end. NB is painfully bad with dmg being bad in all scenarios from trash, ST, aoe, 1 boss, 2 bosses. The sustain sucks too unless you want to lose another dot for siphoning. Not that it's much of a loss tho since NB dmg skills are mostly garbage.

Ah. Correct me if I am wrong, but the main point of a year long arch, as the devs themselves said when they altered it from the old system, was to build on the chapter. They repeatedly -incessantly really - told us that, for example, scribing as delivered with launch was basic, that we should be patient and wait for them to give us more (especially when DDs were treated as the red-haired step child when it comes to functionality) So, Skinny, NO. The quarterly updates are not free, this is the next serving of a meal we already paid for in full months ago by buying Gold Road. Not even the IA ones because they are intertwined with scribing and merchants that sell stuff that is NOT base game.
This update was a slap in the face.
I mean...you still get this update whether you bought Gold Road or not. so yes, it is free
@@skinnycheeks I thought scribing and ergo the new color variants introduced in the stream are bound to Gold Road? Like Tales of Tribute was/is to Highisle? And the two new houses are free? And we can now use all the stuff the IA vendor sells if we have the base (without ESO Plus active) game? Cool, learned something new and will spread the word. Not. Sarcasm aside, there are free components to the update but it is not all free, that is misleading.
@@chemina8541 Skill styles are not scribing. the new ones they are adding don't seem to require gold road. they are linked to fragment chases (likely in IA) and undaunted keys (pledges). Houses are usually not free, and I didn't even talk about houses, so not sure your point there. I'm all for being critical of ZOS when it is warranted, but you are really nit picking here. This is a free update.
I only play NB and the first 2 class set for NB are completely garbage, feelsbadman.

that set is absolutely nuts in PvP on backbar. NBs are already OP in PVP and ZOS are making them even harder.
That’s a sick set for Nightblade tanks, like 80% Major Vulnerability uptime when fighting a single target, and free dodging.
Example: final boss of Dreadsail Reef. Imagine popping a Shadow ability and dodging all damage from the boss’s heavy attack and hitting it with a strong debuff, with a single button press
If you only use your NB in PvE sure, but this new set looks bonkers in PvP
@@MeanAndPristine I'm not sure it would work for this one in particular because the heavy attack from this boss is treated as 2 different swings hitting at the same time. When this set releases, remember to block the second one, you might get hurt a bit :D
I also wonder how it will work with undodgeable attacks like the Z'maja heavy
all sorc sets from IA is designed to be trash in PVP and PVE

It is strong like the majority of class, not overperforming and it is not a reason to have trash class set which is a feature of the game

The nightblades free dodge is obviously for allowing the nightblade to tank bosses without using a sword and shield.

Awful update. It's looking more and more like the development is winding down for this game and now the devs are adding features that THEY want.
a month ago a big chapter came out and now there is a free base game update coming. how is that "development winding down?" lol
@@skinnycheeks There is nothing particularly special or "big" about the chapter this year, in fact we got a much smaller zone that is comparable to what we used to get in Q4. And we used to get a dungeon DLC in Q3 and now we are supposed to be impressed by an addon added to base game for free?
Oh, and the reviews for Gold Road are mostly negative at the moment despite it having the most anticipated system since the launch of the game.
Sadly more useless sets.

ESO is an embarrasing bugfest that ZOS doesnt care to fix as long as you keep shoveling money at them. You cant even pvp in cyrodiil cause the lag spikes will eat your inputs. This game is barely more than the failure fallout 76 was, and by the same people. Don't waste your money on this horrible game guild wars is better
