Every time they saw a more tha 5 year old Simca 1301/1501 they stopped it for control and inspection. And it was ALWAYS the same; taken off the road because of rust issues. Same with Alfa Sud and most Fiats.

1301 Forever, I owned a 1973 special for 6 years, wonderful car.
Magnifique. Il y avait de belles limousines avec des chromes. On n'avait rien à envier aux anglais.
Such a great car, at a time where Simca was playing in the same league as the italians and BMW !
