Not difficult to understand really. Some of the players, especially the likes of salah will feel they should have been told straight away klopp was leaving. Reading between the lines it looks like they kept it quiet so the likes of salah wouldnt leave at the start of this season. Would make sense really. Whatever way you look at it, form dropped as soon as his announcement was made. Salah was top goalscorer with more goals than haaland at Christmas, salah was top goal assister at Christmas with more assists than de bruyne. Then all of a sudden our best and fittest player started missing chances he would normally finish with his eyes closed and arguing with the manager. The klopp leaving business was dealt with terribly in my opinion

He would defend Nunez, from what I've heard, Klopp and Linders got their way over his signing against the club's wishes.
A part of me feels that Klopp could have been pushed to leaving, at least a bit sooner than he was really thinking. So many changes and so quickly after the announcement, and all of these people being available to return feels like something bigger boiling in the background from the start of the season. Klopp is a great man manager, great fit for Liverpool. Not many would do better with the resources he had. FSG did not back him enough. Having said that, Klopp has his weaknesses - he doesn't adapt tactics much, and has had some bad calls on signings - Nunez over Nkunku, or Brandt over Salah, etc. He's loyal to players, and that can come unstuck like it did with the ageing midfield.

The problem with you Craig is that you one week love a player and the next week you want him out of the club like a weathercock. One week you said that Lucho was the only one that wanted to win the league, and the next day you said that the want to leave ; who understand you mate🤔🤔

I said this when we brought him that he's an impact player at best not a starter, trouble is when you pay the money we paid for him you can't justify him being an impact player. For me he's a Divock Origi replacement, not a Firmino one which is fine because I love Origi but Origi was never gonna be a starter for the team on a consistent basis which is the case for Darwin.
Sounds like a few people were at loggerheads with Klopp, during their time at Lfc. Klopp now comes across as a bit of a tough cookie. The normal one!

Tbf elliot did have a real bad injury when he was then getting in the team and was good,he would have played more had that not happened
On the nose. It was his injury. He played a lot of minutes last season because a lot of other midfielders had tired legs, and some fans frustrated with the midfield were saying sell him. But he proved he was worth his weight in gold this season.

@@mac-qt3wd Elliott really impressed me this season, as did Jones. What I noticed is Harvey is energetic & smart and reads the pressing situations well, so he can step up and intercept passes. His goal against the Spurs is one of several excellent chances he deserves the lion's share of the credit for, turning a transiton to defense into an attack. I first noticed Elliott's impressive "footprint" on the field at the Newcastle game with the two Nunez goals -- Harvey's interception set up one of those goals.
@ComradeOgilvy1984 I think if salah plays then elliot needs to play behind him and help trent out, if trent is gonna be a right back, slot might think otherwise. Be interesting to see if he plays midfield in the euros for England cos we ain't got alot of options next to declan rice, Phillips and hendo surely not?

I think it's mainly issues within the club. Someone else commented that over 40 staff members have been given their marching orders. So something is happening internally at LFC that doesn't augur well for the future.
Sell Salah for 120 million, Diaz for 90 million then bid on Cole Palmer, as Chelsea have FFP issues and may need to redress this by selling players

To be honest I never understood the relationship between the players and their agents, is it possible that the agent can say something that the player contractually can contradict publicly? Honest question. Because I have seen this kind of stuff a lot of times, that the player is weirdly silent while the agent is selling his neck all over the place, while I have also seen situations where the player contradicts his agent publicly and ends up paying a lot of money for doing that because he acted against his agents contract, I really dont know :(

When fans like me warned that Klopp has become untouchable dictator and dictating everything from transfer to future of club at his whim, nobody cared. The decline started with his irrational stubbornness regarding the midfield upgrade (Henderson & Milner). I don't to indulge to all the problems bec at this point of time it is counterproductive
What is really badgering me most is history being repeating itself. Edwards is becoming another penultimate dictator. He brought his old friend as a sporting director, an inexperienced and yesman couch, many technical people who had an earlier differences with Klopp. Obviously, as a single-minded person, Klopp had his mistakes. Yet, he was a good manager. You genuinely endeavor to correct it. Edwards sees football strictly from a statistician's point of view. Statistics doesn't grab the human factor, technical capabilities, creation of opportunities, unselfish endeavors, relationships, etc. I think something should be done to curb Edward's vengeance, before it destroys us.
You play him 90 minutes for 12 games only, whole season. You play him Left wing, right and centre. You make him mark and press. He has an incomplete midfield behind him. Even Harland goes low often, but KDB scores . Why wld you expect him to perform . Besides, how many goals does Saka have?
