    Funny, we just called them tractors back in the day . “Open station “ wasn’t a phrase yet 😂 Good looking setup 👍

    Looks great, but you're pretty brave combining oats in that wind with no cab! I'm itchy just thinking about it!

    Now I don't know if this setup is more reliable than what I know as a standard combine, yet regardless of that I was going to farm, this setup is how I would go! Just for the it looks cooler to me factor!

    Ya the old timers would do up their shirt top collar button for the return trip with the wind, and probably a scarf/bandana, i'm all for old school but wanting to exfoliate with a cheese grater aint it

      @ivanmoreau1798 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really hot days are the worst with oats , (( sweaty armpits , eyes and elsewhere )) A big dose of talc in those areas before you start can really help . And , probably best not to wear shorts .

    Can someone explain the big curtain and blower on the back? (Not a farmer.)

    • @mop1081
      @mop1081 ปีที่แล้ว

      It collects the chaff off of the sieve and lays it on top of the straw so you can bale it up in the straw bales. The curtains are for when you've got a strong cross wind, it keeps the straw from blowing away before it drops into a windrow.

    • @ArmpitStudios
      @ArmpitStudios ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mop1081 I figured most of that, but have never seen an external blower mounted like that.
