Strap a broom to your conning tower...excellent work on that convoy! You're now at 487,463 tons overall!
Good move to decline the first sighting - just 1 merchant, but 3 destroyers are a tad too dangerous for little gain. Then a juicy convoy with a single DE! I was shouting, "Get the DE first, Taff!" You gave the boys in the aft torpedo room a chance to show their stuff - great for morale. The same goes for the gun crew, dispatching two ships. A clean sweep of an entire convoy! Have the boys bind a broom to the periscope shears, Taff, for when you sail into Tulagi to signify a "Clean Sweep"!
Those were some spectacular fireworks!

Why don’t you use armor piercing shells on the deck gun to shoot at the water line and put holes in it to cause flooding? They are gonna be better suited for causing flooding than high explosive.
