    Nice intro. Now I am going to have to watch, 20001 A Space Odyssey, all over again. Two great ships! Anyway. Just bought this kit and the Super Upgrade. 👍 See you in about six months or so. 😁

    Nice vid - useful insights for when I have a go at mine! 😁 Particularly noted the extra plastic scrap to brace the main seam 👍. May I ask what the 3 large blobs are inside the hull - looks like plasticene. Were you aiming to add some weight to the model?

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners

      Thanks. The 3 large blobs are plastic goo made by melting sprues on a vase with a 100% acetone. I put them to increase the weight of the model and rigidness of the joint but in some places the acetone ate through the plastic and I would not recommend it.

    Hey men , dont use lidl primer. Is a garbage . Better mr surfacer of gunze or vallejo surface. 0 problems. Any question......What is the liquid to use to fill gaps?I'll wait for the second part of the video. Beautiful boat, it looks very good on you. Greetings from Spain. Here goes my like.😎

      Lesson learned to keep away from these primers. Yeah there are some great alternatives but I went for the cheap. The liguid I used, is actually a "sprue goo". You can make it yourself by just cut off small pieces of sprue leftovers into tamiya extra thin. The plastic is dissolved and basically you have a liquid plastic. It is so handy you should try it. I use empty Tamiya cement bottles for storing and you can use the little brush as an applicator.

    Great save on the Hull! Was it stressful putting the decals on as to painting them (they seem to lay down pretty well) ? Thanks for the video

      As you can imagine it was stressfull especially the long strips of the waterline. Some decals broke in the process but luckilly it is barelly noticable. Everything went alright at the end but I would prefer to mask and spray the wateline if I had the option.

    Hey George your work is superb..congratulations, but you did a beginner mistake putting backguards the top part of the funnel

      Yes, you are right! Other people noticed that as well and I correct it immediately. Check the second part 😉

      One tip; Before sanding let putty dry at least after 48 hours for harder so will you get best results for a smooth and clean surface, don't hurry up in that process..get slow for better...!.GOOD LUCK bro @@GeorgeModellingforBeginners

      Yeah you are right of course but when I am in the mood to do some modelling I rush it through. Truth is that no one will turn over the ship and look at the seemline so all the hard work it is really a waste :(

    Hate to say but the 1/350 Tamiya is the better kit cleaner lines and crisper moulds! Revell has always been the pretender to the throne! nice work though! I have the Trumpeter Bismarck 1/200 just waiting to start it!

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners
      @GeorgeModellingforBeginners  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The Tamiya kit is quite decent but it shows the age. The Revell is a little better in my opinion but the split half hull needs a lot of work. But I think the king of bismark kits goes to the 1/200 Trumpeter. I heard a lot of good things. I just wish I had the space to put it when finish.
