I love Stampin Up inks! After years of trial and error with other companies pads, I finally bought some Stampin Up. I will never go back! I store mine in rainbow order as I find it easier to see all of one color family together.
This was a wonderful video. Even though I've been using SU! for over 10 years, your tutorial on the ink pads was really wonderful! there is so much to appreciate!
Thank you so much for this educational video........ it's going to help me a lot on how to handle my inks and storage...... yes please add more videos like these..... very educational and thank you again for the wonderful inspiration on your channel......
What I love about Stampin up is how they coordinate with each other. I know my paper, my marker, and my ink pad will all be the sme and that the designer papers will also match. About 80% of my paper and inks are stampin up, the rest are Distress.
I have lots of these inks and have them in the stamps up stand like a tall lazy Susan. I do like the inks but find them a bit hard to open or sometimes to close. Like the fact that you can press them and get some ink on the cover and water paint with them. I also have the water color crayons which I love
thank you for that tutorial. that was the first time I had heard that you can use rinker to fill marker. Can you demonstrate how to refill? I like stampin up inks also and try not to purchase other brands but sometimes am tempted by Gina K. Her inks seem very rich and sharp. thanks
I agree with all of your video. So far I'm not at all happy with the new ink pads. What are your thoughts on them and how will this affect your storage methods? I have the circular storage 'bin' (?) sold by Stampin'Up! The new pads will not adapt well at all so I think I'm just going to lose that investment, the same way I've lost a lot when the entire set of alcohol markers was discontinued right after I purchased the entire set. It's about the same thing again now that there is a "light" shade of every color in the marker collection, making the single colors obsolete. I would really appreciate your thoughts on these changes.
@@KatinaMartinez-01 Thanks very much for your quick reply. I am glad to have another viewpoint on these things. While I'm a demonstrator, I'm my only customer so obviously, with no income from stamping, it's difficult to purchase all these new things at once. When I do that, I'm short of funds for new projects, and I can hardly stand that!! I'll look for your new post on the ink pads. I'm glad to hear you will love them. Perhaps I will, too.
Very cool ... I love the ideas for storage, I have such a tiny space it's always good to see other ways people store their stuff. I have never had an ink pad leak, except for my night of navy, it came so juicy when I went to stamp for the first time, the actual ink pad lifted away from the base. I haven't used it since, I will probably just order a new one rather than worry about it lifting every time I try to stamp in it. There was so much ink in it that it puddled under the pad and I think much have been too much for the glue that would have normally held it down. TFS
Nice!! LOVE your collection!!So much good info!! I am considering getting a unit with 24 clear plastic drawers about the size for two stamp pads. I can label the outside of the drawer.
I am like you - I like coordinating everything! I do buy Distress Inks and black archival ink (Memento) but Stampin' Up is my exclusive choice. Everytime "In colors" come out, I order pads, card stock, markers and ink refills so ensure I have matching supplies.
I love my Stampin Up inks too! But, my first ink collection was the distress inks. They are so versatile and amazing!! You can get the stain, paint, marker, refill & sprays to match!! I have lots of those items too! Now Tim has his new Oxide inks in 12 colors. I have ordered 3 colors to try them out. I am sure I will want them all!! If you have not seen the oxide inks check them out on you tube. There is lots of great videos showing how they differ from a regular distress ink and the various looks you can get from them. Maybe if you really want to try the distress inks get the ink cubes. They come in every color and are sold in sets of 4 & individually. Have a great day!
Where do you store your markers? I didn't know that you can reink them. When I ordered a few of my ink pads leaked all over but it was no big deal it wasn't easy clean up. Thank you so much for doing these information videos they will help me in the future.
Great ideas Katina! I have been keeping all of my stamps in albums, the 2"+, and so I have been saving the holders for other items, so thanks for the refill idea! Saving a lot of space. If you have any other ideas for the cases that the stamps come in please suggest. Lisa P.S. I love watching your videos, you always have great ideas and cards!
Amen, I stick to only Stampin' Up! All though I love what other companies have I just find it easier to stick to one brand. Now, I do have distress ink pads but that's it.
Don't store them on their ends or sides!!! Mine all leaked ink during a move and made a horrible mess and wasted ink. In moves after that happened, I won't allow anyone else pack them, and I even consider them precious cargo to be hand-carried only by me. Lol
If you are talking about Ink Pads - AMEN! - They do make a mess, or cause issues if stored any other way than flat. I don't know how other people store them on their side, or up straight up... I've never had any luck with them that way.
The way you misspell words and do not use proper capitalization is irritating.....where are you from? I have noticed the endings of her words.....it's really the ending of her sentences. I don't believe that is a regional dialectal thing, I believe it's an individual person thing. Like another commenter said, if it really bothers you, don't listen! I personally enjoy these videos!

Less than ten minutes in and I learned something new. I did not know you could re-ink the markers. Thank you.

How long do the ink refills last? (not how many times you can re-ink but how long is the ink good for before it separates or thickens?)

thanks for this! always afraid of putting too much ink when re-inking till now. thanks again and take care!
Great explanation, must watch for those newbies at Stampinup

These are great tips and some info I didn't know about SU products. TY

Great video. Very helpful. Thank u
Thanks for this. I am trying to do away with the carousel as it takes up a lot of space and I have a tiny craftroom.
Thank You. I didn't know the label was on the bottom for each color. I have some work ahead of me. LOL
Amen, I stick to only Stampin' Up! All though I love what other companies have I just find it easier to stick to one brand. Now, I do have distress ink pads but that's it.
Stampin Up are my first choice but I too love Gina K...
Thank you I was opening the pads wrong and didn’t even know about the stickers.

Katrina you need to focus your camera in more, this video is really blurry
If you store other than flat they run and create a mess. Hard lesson to learn. My Distress Inks are fine vetical, but not Stampin Up.

where are you originally from? The way you really sound out the last letter in your words is irrating
Natalie Cole How rude. Don't listen to her if she irritates you.
