I know an Esperanza here in Spain, she goes by Espe, pronounced with regular Spanish sounding Es, so "ehspeh". Don't know how to write it phonetically in English lol.

My last name is a very Mexican last name and I feel Eleanor won’t go over well. 😩 Please tell me that Eleanor goes over well in you family! My in laws are very Mexican and I don’t want my child to be glared at for having an “American” sounding name.
Yes Eleanor is such a beautiful name. Well I would say it’s your kid so you can name it why you want! But you could always to Eleanora or or Eleanor and then have the baby’s nickname be Nora. Nora sounds more Hispanic than Eleanor, but again I would say name your child what you want!
