This is my FAVORITE foundation video!! The swatches and comparisons!! You are a God send. The fact that you actually showed the comparisons, and not just talked about it, is so AWESOME!! Thank you
You're welcome. Thank you so much, I'm glad you found it helpful! I wanted to add the comparisons to help as much as possible, particularly as at the time of filming, there were not very many reviews on this foundation for those of my skin tone :)
You have beautiful skin Ida and to my eye both looked great. I think you can easily use both, the darker, thicker one for summer and occasions and the lighter one for winter and day to day would be perfect. I'm sure you could mix the colours for something in between too. It would be interesting to hear about how these products wear and your review once you have used them for awhile. Check the foundation with flash photography if you plan to use it on your wedding day just in case the SPF causes a white cast. Thanks and regards, Deb.
Hi Deb! Thank you so much! And yes absolutely re. the flash situation. My sister warned me about this! I'm going to make Niklas take a photo of me in the dark in our flat! Haha! I'm never in the club anymore! :) Will definitely review these later once I've worn them more, good idea and if I do choose to wear this on the wedding, I'll definitely share! Thanks for watching and your advice. So much to bear in mind! :) x
This was such a useful video, thank you so much for taking the time out to make it. I love both of them on you. The full coverage one wasn't too red to me, it gave you that nice, I went on vacation, my complexion is rich and glower whole the neutral is very nice for everyday. You lucked out on both! Hope you will do a video on how they look after hours of wear.
Hi Isobel, thank you so much. Great idea, I actually wore 3.N all day today and I must say it stayed on very well after a full day of shopping with my Mum and sister! :) I did use the Skindinavia setting spray, which is also new in for me, both together are fantastic! I will definitely try and do a video on how they wear. :)
Loving the results on this review been saying I want to try their line out. I think you have convinced me for sure. Catching up on all I've missed over these pass few weeks :(
Hi Tiara, so glad it helped. Had a bit of nightmare focussing the swatches, next time I'll do them in a cut-away but super glad it helped nonetheless! 😚
YOUR SKIN IS SO BEAUTIFUL, U DON'T NEED MAKE UP. THE MAKEUP LOOKS LOVELY ON YOU. CONGRATS ON YOUR WEDDING. I LOVE THE MAKEUP I WILL BE ORDERING IT AND OTHER PRODUCTS ASAP AND WILL TELL OTHERS ABOUT IT THANK U.
Hi there, thank you so much. I think I still need make up! Haha! But thank you, and also for the congratulations for our wedding. We're very much on countdown now and looking forward to it! Hope you get on well with the makeup bits you've ordered! Thanks for watching :) x
You have beautiful skin. Initially when you first started the video I thought you already had the foundation on. I think you can get away with wearing both R and N but the N is a little bit better match with your undertone. I ordered me some ordinary foundation a couple of weeks ago and I can't wait for it to get here.
Hi Richia, thank you so much. I'm always complaining about my skin, but perhaps I should stop! 😆 I think that's the consensus most people have come to with the shade, I think you're right. Fingers crossed yours arrive soon! 🙏🏾
*This video is GREAT!* I was about to order shades too dark for me. Will adjust my order. ~p.s. And I'm prepared to wait. Also, I will probably mix across the serum and full coverage foundation types. Why not? Thanks for sharing! ;-))
Hi there! I'm SO pleased! It would be so painful that wait to find the colours are wrong! I hope I've helped! I think mixing is the way to go - it doesn't hurt! Glad you enjoyed the video, hopefully your colours will arrive soon! :)
The 3.2 N was great for you. I like that you didn't put a mask of foundation on. The brand seems to be missing a color for me, sadly. They don't seem to have 3.1 N. I often have blend the red and yellow tones, and one that's too light and one that's too dark of a brand to get the correct balance. I'm doing that with Bobbie Brown.
Thank you so much. Yes I'm not one for the 'mask!' Haha! I prefer the more natural look 😊 I think mixing is the way to go, though it must be so annoying for you having to do this all the time! Hopefully you find the perfect shade soon. 🤗
If you don't like the redness of your Mac foundation, try NC50 instead. It's more yellow based than the red/orange base of NW45. 🤗 Hope this helps! Thanks for the review! Can't wait for my ordinary colours to arrive!! I got the coverage one. That applied beautifully on you!
Hi there, thanks so much for the recommendation! A couple of you lovely viewers have suggested this, I don't know why I hadn't thought of this sooner! I will be trying some Mac 'C' colours asap! I hope your Ordinary Colours arrive soon! I can't wait to try the coverage in the N shade! :)
Hi all, I hope you enjoy my demo and review of these Colours foundations from The Ordinary. Such amazing value for money, I can't wait to get my hands on some more bottles!!! Do let me know which colour you think suited me best - 3.2N or 3.2R? :) I x
Inspired by Ida I think the N is better suited for everyday wear and the R for "occasions" (wink wink wedding) but wait for the N full coverage to arrive. I ordered 2 in both formulas and am very much looking forward to that package when it arrives (USA).
Hi there, I think you're absolutely right! I will definitely use the 'R' for the wedding as I love the colour and want to still look like myself on the day, and the coverage is just that bit fuller which is perfect! I hope you love yours as much as I love mine when they arrive! Hopefully soon! :)
Inspired by Ida - Firstly thank you for this review!!!! Omg! Thank you!! I am awaiting my Ordinary makeup. Can't wait to get it! I too am the NW45 but 2ndly, try the L'oreal Trumatch Lumi in Nut Brown/Cocoa - and it doesn't oxidize. No orange!! LOL! Thanks again!
Thanks for the heads up with the L'Oreal! I will definitely try that! I hope your colours arrive soon, and you love them as much as I love mine! So glad you enjoyed the video 😘
Hi Ida, I don't wear make up so I'm not sure how valuable my opinion will be. I thought both colours looked good on you, the second one looked like you spent a wonderful day in the sun, made you look radiant.
Hi Sharon, of course your opinion is valuable! Thank you so much, I had thought that too! I think when the whole face is done with 3.2R it could work very well! 😊
Perhaps you can use the Body Shop shade adjusting drops? bit.ly/2qgxS0c I use these if I need to lighten or darken my foundation just a tad to get the perfect shade. :) Otherwise, perhaps mixing 3.1 and 3.2 might work?
Thank you so much for doing this video. I just ordered the 3.2N Serum and was wondering if I had made the right decision. After watching your video with the 3.2R High Coverage, I feel I made the right decision. I am similar to you in that I always look so orange and was so nervous about ordering the 3.2R. Although you looked great in the 3.2R, I feel the 3.2N was a better match. Thanks again for all of your hard work. It really did help me!
Absolutely - had a nightmare focussing! 😂 Next time, I just wanted to make sure the light didn't change too much when showing the colours you see. Still learning. 😊👍🏾
I thought you were already wearing foundation. Your skin is so beautiful 👌🏻💕
So sweet, thank you! 😘

I subbed before I started watching, u are relatable no gimmicks or airs. Thanks for the review. Your skin is flawless !!!
Ahh thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video - thanks for watching! :)
I'm so late to the video, only just started getting into makeup. You're so gorgeous!! Thanks for the review
Love this video! Thank you for the review and swatches! That'll for sure help so many woman in finding their colour 🤗
Thank you Guadalupe, I hope so! :) xx
YASS, 3.2N definitely wins! Perfect perfect perfect. (And you do have flawless skin!)
Hi there! Thank you so much :) xx

Thank you! I wanted to give this a try, but needed to see someone with a deeper tone like mine try it.👍
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful :)

Your nails look so nice, love that color on you
Thank you so much. It's my favourite - I basically wear the same shade all year round! I'm a creature of habit! 😆
Loving the results on this review been saying I want to try their line out. I think you have convinced me for sure. Catching up on all I've missed over these pass few weeks :(
Ahhh I hope you've been ok? Definitely recommend investing, they're really good! xx
Also on the website I read that multiple shades will work for most people(up to 3?) not surprised you liked them both
Ahh I didn't know that. That's pretty good! At least there's choice for once which is fantastic! 👍🏾
Thank you so much for this! I'm was torn between 3.2N and 3.2R but because of your swatches I'm definitely 3.2N 😁
Hi Tiara, so glad it helped. Had a bit of nightmare focussing the swatches, next time I'll do them in a cut-away but super glad it helped nonetheless! 😚

3.2N is better for everyday, I think, but both were really good. Very affordable!
For sure! I'm in disbelief that they can be so affordable and actually good! I'll be saving a lot of money on foundations from now on!! 😊

Great video. I was looking for someone my complexion
Thank you for reviewing this :) - you have such lovely skin! Out of interest what camera did you use for this vid?
No problem, I enjoyed making the video, and thank you so much! :) I use a Canon 700d.

I bet if you mix both options... it would be BOMB! At such a cheap price, you could certainly afford to experiment, right? ;-))
Thanks for the comparison between Lancome and the serum it's very usefull.
You're welcome Solene - glad to be of help!
I've been waiting for someone anyone to review both
Hi there, I hope you found it helpful! 😌
Ooh I so want to try these, I'm just afraid the shade lighter than the one you used is too light. I need something in between
Perhaps you can use the Body Shop shade adjusting drops? bit.ly/2qgxS0c I use these if I need to lighten or darken my foundation just a tad to get the perfect shade. :) Otherwise, perhaps mixing 3.1 and 3.2 might work?
peaceandcrosses you can buy both and mix them
peaceandcrosses nyx as foundation mixer you can buy the olive one it doesn't give you a white cast that some foundation lightener gives
You should try Mac in NW48. I think we may be the same shade if the NW45 doesn't work.
Him, thanks for the heads up. Once I've worked through a few of my MANY foundations, I'll definitely give this a go! 😁

Really glad you found it helpful! 3.2N is still my go to!
please link to other from. I'm from Nigeria
Your skin is gorgeous!
Thanks so much Marie! I think the summer sun is helping it! :)
Also what is your skin? dry or oily? and which of the primers do you use. Deceit has 2.
I would say I have combination, skin and I use The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer bit.ly/2m5zk4z (non-affiliate link)! :)
Very nice
Looks gorgeous on you!
Thank you! x
You said you were an nw45 in Mac but since you're more neutral and i can see the golden, your an nc47,50.
finessence808 that is very good to know! Shall try those shades out. I've never believed I'm nw45! 😊
Thanks for this! x
what other foundation shades do you wear so I can compar. do you wear maybeline?
Hi, I've listed 4 that I use in the description box. Unfortunately I do t use Maybeline! Sorry! 😩
Might be easier to film the swatches after and then just edit them in. Then you don't need to worry about focusing 🌷
Absolutely - had a nightmare focussing! 😂 Next time, I just wanted to make sure the light didn't change too much when showing the colours you see. Still learning. 😊👍🏾
PS: BY THE WAY I LIKE BOTH OF THE COLORS. 3.2R GIVES U MORE COVERAGE I LIKE THIS ONE ON YOU.
Yes, I can't wait till my N colour arrives in the coverage foundation as I loved how it applied. Thank you! :)
Such a warm and informative review! #newsubbie
Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it 😀
Lovely review...new subscriber
Hi, I didn't catch the name of the primer.
Marilyn Edwards Hi. It's The Ordinary High‑Adherence Silicone Primer. 😊
Omg how did you receive them so fast :/
I ordered them pretty much as soon as I was hearing the buzz! 😊
i thought she was Bobbi christina before i clicked on the video
