The only thing I found useful was the added blacksmith. I did get a few yellow runes in accursed towers. Same game with more horrible additions. They basically took out the middle class and now it's whales against f2p and are forcing people to spend to advance. Or QUIT!
I play Tempest, and where the nerf really hits is the cooldown. With benef increase and cd reduction, you had a great uptime on defenses where as now there is window where you are vulnerable and get wiped quickly if you are in a fight.
Have you been able to determine if the rune drops are like pet contracts and time gated? It sure feels like it, had one day they were dropping like crazy doing dungeons and didn't realize what time it was, but since then I havent had a single rune drop.

World farming. One per day, usually after about 4-6 hours of farming. Not saying more than 1 can't drop but I haven't seen more than one rare in a day personally. One day I didn't get one after 6 hours and didn't farm anymore that day. Farming outside town in Southern dread.

Yeah, and even though tempest has quite solid damage potential but still all immunes make him worse. But it's a general game design problem. You can't play assasin type class effectively if literally everyone has immune. What is even more radiculous these immunes last longer than TTK. That's why classes without solid survi mechanics usually become unplayable nowadays. Still it doesn't mean they are underpowered, just other classes have more reliable mechanics.
